View Full Details of Montfort ManorWe are 100% satisfied with our mother's experience as a resident at Montfort Manor. We are confident that the care she receives is kind and professional. Her surroundings are of a very high standard and meals are exceptionally good. The lifestyle team goes above and beyond with varied activities and the atmosphere is always easy and welcoming. Communication is easy and response to any questions is immediate, would thoroughly recommend.
It was a difficult decision to move Dad into residential care but it became impossible to keep him at home as his dementia progressed. The staff guided me carefully through this process and at all times have been wonderfully helpful and welcoming. Dad settled well and every effort was made to incorporate him into the home community. The family and I feel that he was looked after very well and the care and respect with which he and we were looked after as he left us was immeasurably kind at a very difficult time. Thank you.
After breaking her leg badly just before Christmas 2024, my mother spent two weeks after her stay in hospital to begin her recovery. I can't thank all your staff enough for all the professional and friendly care you provided.
Montfort Manor has been brilliant with my dad. His care is second to none and he's always been happy there. The staff are really caring and friendly. As a family, we know dad is cared for and loved which makes us all relax and have no worries.
Relative has been at the care home for four months. Not yet fully settled and worries about being taken away. Staff very helpful and reassuring. Good choice of food at meal times and nice coffee machine in the ground floor cafe.
Like a 4* hotel. Excellent services, hairdresser, cinema room, cafe, bar, staff are very friendly and proud of the care home. Food is good and residents are encouraged to eat in the restaurant, tablecloths and proper glasses. Very much recommended. My mum is happy there and said she never wanted to go into a care home. She is also being encouraged to join in with activities.
My father has been living at Montfort for 10 months and during this time he has been looked after and his every need has been catered for. The enrichment to his life has been exemplary with the lifestyle team providing many varied activities during each single week allowing him to enjoy his twilight years.
I am extremely happy with all the nurses and carers who care/support my sister with her needs and she is treated with dignity. The rooms - bedrooms, lounge, dining room, cafe are always 100% clean and tidy - excellent domestics. The laundry staff are brilliant, ensuring all the washing is complete quickly and returned to the owner. The chefs and kitchen staff are amazing and all the meals are cooked to the highest standard, and very tasty/filling. The managers, receptionists, hairdresser, maintenance guys, gardener and team leaders are fantastic.
My husband went to Montford Manor for three weeks of respite in September. He was looked after extremely well and suffering only mild dementia was able to take part in many of the activities. He enjoyed the wonderful meals and visits from family. Unfortunately, the previous diagnosis of a threat problem began to manifest itself and he deteriorated rapidly, eventually passing away. I cannot fault the care he had, it was second to none. Everyone couldn't have been kinder.
Thank you Montfort Manor for making Armistice Day so special for my Dad by taking him to The Battle of Britain Memorial for their Service of Remembrance. Dad served in the RAF and there was no better place he could have been to show his respects and have his own service recognised. Your wonderful team endlessly consider the individual needs and care of residents on a level that brings such happiness and comfort not only to them but to all the family. Thank you for everything you do to enhance the quality of Dad's life and enable us to see him still participating in activities that mean so much to him.
The staff were always friendly and cheerful.
From the moment my Mum and Dad moved into Montford Manor at the beginning of July 2024, they were treated with utmost care and respect. Even when my Dad because of his slight dementia was a bit grumpy the staff were always kind to him. My Mum because of her weak heart passed away suddenly at the end of August and Dad went downhill after that and passed away in the early hours of Wednesday the 16th of October. We could not have wished for better care for my Mum and Dad and it was always a pleasure to visit.
Mum seems to be very happy at Montfort Manor. This is her second stay now, and she will almost certainly become a permanent resident. The staff in the home appear so helpful and caring, positive and cheerful. This is a modern, purpose-built home, which really works for the residents. This is more than your average care home.
Everyone is amazing from cleaners to gardens and to the top. Such a warm welcome every time we come. Can't fault the place. 100% recommend this care home.
This is not my first visit. I have travelled from the North East a few times to visit my sister. The care she is given is second to none, all of the staff are amazing and genuinely care. I phoned and spoke to the new receptionist who was only on her 4th day and the empathy and caring sound in her voice was exceptional. Everyone from the top to the bottom are simply the best and we know she is in the best place.
My father moved to Montfort Manor after 2 months in a poor NHS-funded home. The difference in the quality of care, attention, cleanliness and facilities was enormous. All staff really cared for Dad and managed his position with dignity and respect. Montfort Manor and the team all score five stars from Dad, myself and my siblings. Sadly Dad's health did not improve and the team at Montfort Manor dealt with his end-of-life care with dignity. They kept us well-informed and showed a high level of real care for us all. Thank you!
Montford Manor arranged a birthday party for my sister who was 90 years old on 31 July 1924. As it was a sunny day, we had the use of the summer house in the garden. Also at the party were my 2 daughters and my son, granddaughter and great-granddaughter aged 8 months. We would all like to say a very big thank you to the cook and all the other people who helped with this party. We had sandwiches with various fillings, as requested, sausage rolls, individual trifles and a gorgeous birthday cake. The cook carried out all the various instructions regarding allergies and dislikes. My sister did not know about this party, but really enjoyed herself when she got over the shock.
My aunt moved into Montford Manor in April this year. Initially she was reluctant to leave her room, but staff kindly encouraged her to join in the many activities and make friends with the other residents. Now it is difficult to find her when I visit, she is always busy and she has had some wonderful trips out in their minibus. The staff have been kind and caring to her while also allowing her to keep her independence. My aunt has recently celebrated her 90th birthday, Montford Manor arranged a wonderful family gathering in the garden for her. The food and birthday cake were excellent. I can highly recommend Montford Manor to care for your loved ones.
Dad is very happy here. He is well looked after, and the staff are very caring. The activities are excellent and have such an amazing cafe, and the garden area is great as a visitor.
I had looked at a number of local care homes before I chose Montfort Manor for my husband with dementia. On our first visit, the doors automatically opened to be greeted by a smiling receptionist, an elderly resident sitting in the hall with her daily glass of Sherry. In front of me was the Cafe, hair and beauty salon and cinema. The welcome was warm and it has lived up to first impressions and my husband has settled well. The staff are caring and I feel they know him well. He is included in lots of activities (even a wonderful Sports Day in the lovely garden). The food is delicious and imaginative. It was the most difficult decision of my life but I have no regrets about my choice.
