View Full Details of Queen Elizabeth Care CentreI travelled to the UK in January 25 when my mother had a fall and could not return to her prior living place. My father has been a resident here for about 6 months and I am so happy that both of my parents are now at Queen Elizabeth Care center. Every staff member I have met are truly amazing, professional kind and care-centered. One member of staff in particular was the very first person I met when I arrived and was so kind and informative. The residents are well cared for and they promote a culture of respect and dignity. The food is tasty with such a lovely variety of dishes. No one was ever too busy to answer my questions. It's so refreshing to find such a kind and caring team. Thank you to the director and all of the amazing team for all they do every day. You are appreciated.
Mum was in the care home for two years, sadly she passed away in February 2024. Could not fault the care home. Staff are wonderful. Very approachable. Mum was very well cared for. The manager was very nice and any problem or concerns she was always available and very helpful. A lovey home for Mum.
Someone always on hand when required.
My husband moved here from another care home and he is much happier and so am I and my family. The staff are very caring, they are also consistent. I see the same staff every time I visit. The food is excellent and varied. They keep in good contact with me.
I love living in Queen Elizabeth Care Centre with my friends and the coordinators and staff who are very friendly and always ready to help me.
My mum has been here since October 23. The staff are really nice and engaging. The rooms are spacious. Everyone is very friendly and keeps us well-informed. Very homely atmosphere. The lounge/dining room is very bright and lots of activities to keep the residents entertained.
Overall at first appearance, the home looked very nice. It was one week into my mother's stay I noticed things had gone missing from her room and clothes that did not belong to her kept appearing in her room. They did not stick to her medication regime that she had been used to for the previous 5 years I had been caring for her. They failed in her feeding. They claimed although she had been in there for respite to give me a break she remained in there for 5 weeks they claimed that she only stopped eating and taking her medication 3 days before she was admitted to hospital. I feel that they were untruthful about this situation. Their system for marking the resident's property is a thick black marker pen. They do not use specialized laundry tags. This wrecks their clothes and makes them devalue, should they need to be sold. My mother thankfully passed away in Hospital and not in the home. I need to contact the home again to see if the missing Items have been found.
My dad has been looked after well given his needs. He’s made to feel heard, nothing is too much bother. Staff-wise, activities hold music quizzes that he loves, he’s socialising well and is encouraged. It’s amazing how well he’s settled, my whole family is over the moon. There is a balcony on each floor that my dad uses for fresh air.
The home has been great in informing us about covid and about lockdown. They have communicated with the family throughout. The staff are wonderful and always so cheerful. The manager is amazing and really has the residents at heart. She knows all the residents and their families and is a credit.
