View Full Details of Baycroft Flitwick Care HomeAll members of staff are so genuinely happy and helpful. I am really lucky to have been housed in this hotel come care home.
I have found this home, Baycroft Flitwick Care Home, a very caring and loving environment for all residents and visitors alike with plenty of activities to keep everyone involved and I thank you.
Great service and really nice staff. Could not manage without this respite. Thank you to the customer relationship manager, staff and manager.
My mother (90) became a resident in August 2024, we had been impressed with the home on our viewing - modern, clean, beautiful furnishings and decor but we quickly appreciated the team all working so well to provide full care for a challenging group of residents. It's never easy to move and have to say, we are very satisfied with the home, highly recommend!
Such a lovely clean and friendly environment. Love coming here to visit my Grandma. She is clearly being looked after well. She's always in good spirits here and the staff are always really positive, patient and helpful. The rooms are lovely, there is a cafe area, nice gardens and lots of activities: choir, hair salon, karaoke etc.
Okay for 13 days/nights respite but not for longer.
An excellent and well-presented care home. It is only spoilt by the quality of the food and poor presentation.
I am very pleased with the way Mum is looked after. The staff are very attentive to her needs.
Friendly, professional team who work together. Excellent entertainment for residents. Residents and staff always happy and smiling. My second experience of home as my father-in-law was there from November to April. Then my friend moved in July for respite.
The home is okay, and the staff are nice. They try their best, and the activities are good but like most care homes they don't like spending money. The one thing I cannot understand about this home is the quality of the food they feed the residents, my dogs are fed better. I've witnessed sausage rolls, hot dogs and burgers that don't even look like meat. My Nan complains about the food regularly when we visit and I'm not surprised. They charge a lot of money and provide the lowest quality food I have ever seen. School dinners are Michelin star compared to here. Had a few issues with the cleanliness too but these have been addressed, apart from the strong smell of urine. They have also cut down on care since my Nan has been here, they no longer have a nursing team but the price is still the same or more! This is still a fairly new home so not in bad condition but it won't take long as they don't like spending money. If I could ask for anything it would be that they provide better quality food.
Baycroft Flitwick make everyone feel welcome to help the resident to settle, feel at home and have the highest quality of care. All staff go above and beyond to give an outstanding experience from personal care, food, socialising, etc. It really is a special place with wonderful overall service.
My Mother has been in Baycroft Flitwick since January 2024. The staff are all so lively and always talk to her. After a settling-in period, I now find that my queries and concerns are dealt with speedily and efficiently. A lady in particular is amazing and goes the extra mile. The activities ladies do such a brilliant job and include everyone who wants to join in. The facilities are brilliant, the garden if lovely to walk my Mum around. It feels friendly and comfortable. The food is great and the decor and cleanliness are also great.
The care home is so very clean, staff are wonderful, so caring and kind. Very helpful to the residents and family who visit. Don't think I have ever seen such a beautiful home. My relative is very happy there and has become more active and communicates more. I would have no hesitation in living there myself.
We had to find accommodation for my mother-in-law at very short notice and the staff at Baycroft Flitwick Care Home couldn't have been kinder and more welcoming to her. We chose Baycroft because of the clean, spacious rooms, friendly and efficient staff and the wide range of activities. We were initially concerned when the previous owners sold the home but the new owners have made improvements and we are very happy with the care provided.
I am so grateful to Baycroft Flitwick Care Home for providing my mother with such a caring environment. She has settled into the home in a very short time thanks, in no small part, to the lovely staff who are, without exception, kind, efficient and professional. The activities are fun and engaging. My mother loves the food and is always keen to get to the dining room for each meal. All the staff know her name and talk to her, not me, when I accompany her which is how it should be. The rooms are lovely. Mym has a favourite lounge that is beautifully designed and a pleasure to sit in. I am so happy I found this home for her.
My mum has been a resident at Flitwick Baycroft for just over a year. Her needs are complex and with the exception of a couple of minor concerns early on, she has received excellent care. The management team are experienced, competent and very accessible. The premises are well maintained and the carers are genuinely caring. By and large, the food is excellent. The activities are excellent and well thought through so that every resident can get involved. Highlights have been the Christmas party and also Mum's birthday party which were well-organised and very memorable occasions. Many thanks to all the team at Baycroft.
Baycroft is a lovely care home to be in. It has friendly and welcoming staff. My husband is very happy there. He is cared for extremely well, and nothing is ever too much trouble if you ask the staff. Activities are made fun and enjoyable in both morning and afternoon sessions.
My mum and dad came to Baycroft in February as they both needed 24/7 care. The staff have been wonderful and welcomed us with open arms. The care provided is second to none - I couldn’t have picked a better place for my parents. Unfortunately, my dad passed after being at Baycroft for 3 and a half weeks so mum is now left alone but receiving the best care possible for someone who is bed-bound now. The wake was held at Baycroft and the staff helped to make it a wonderful day for family and friends. I thoroughly recommend Baycroft - everyone is so caring, the food is good and the rooms are beautiful.
My dad died at Baycroft Flitwick recently having spent 6 months at the home. I start with this because we were so impressed with the end-of-life care Dad received. All the staff were very attentive to his needs and we, the family, were kept informed and involved. Dad went to live at the home after several prolonged stays in hospital left him unable to live alone any longer. The staff quickly identified Dad's likes and dislikes and his meals were tailored to the size of his appetite and his favourite foods. Staffing levels were good and staff would regularly pop in to see if he needed anything or just wanted a chat. Family and friends also felt very relaxed there, able to make ourselves drinks when we wanted to and visit whenever suited us. I was so impressed at Christmas at the lengths staff went to to ensure all residents were involved and able to celebrate. We cannot thank the staff enough for the love and care everyone at Baycroft Flitwick showed Dad.
My mum was in Baycroft Flitwick for almost 2 years and the standard of care and attention she received was first-class. The management always strives to maintain the highest standards of care. Although my mum didn't engage in the set activities, she was always encouraged to do so. There is much caring staff at Baycroft from carers to nurses, kitchen staff to admin, cleaning, maintenance and reception. The staff go out of their way to be friendly and welcoming to visitors and residents. There is a very distinct family atmosphere in the home. We are very grateful indeed for the sympathetic and caring way in which Mum was looked after in her last days. We would recommend it without hesitation.
