“our mum" was so poorly when she arrived at Marine Lodge the belief was “she didn’t Care long” with the correct care, love, attention and the understanding of 'our mums” special “care” needs, although mum is still "thriving” because the staff care and seem to be devoted to their roles + responsibilities.

My wife has been resident since May'23. We as family were very apprehensive but we are pleased she settled quickly, and is always warm and comfortable and well cared for. The staff know her well and are more than kind and caring. They are also most courteous to all our family members. Just a little disappointed when necessary repairs for water supply in lounge, and lift which had broken took so long to correct. Lift still out of order.

My friend is very well cared for and loved by all the staff. She looks good i.e. hygiene and care. Plenty going on (which she doesn't like joining in). Food is excellent and I know she is happy.

My mum has been in Marine View Lodge for 2 years she has continuously been looked after so well. The staff are amazing with her, even at the times when she can display challenging behaviour. I would not want Mum to be placed anywhere else.

My dad has been in Marine View Lodge for nearly four months now, and all of the staff and carers have made him feel welcome and have been kind and professional while caring for him. The food is good, and everyone is included in the activities arranged. He feels safe and secure and seems content in his new home.

My father came to stay at Marie View Lodge following a long hospital stay. He was given a warm and caring welcome and his care has been exemplary. Everyone from reception, catering, laundry, cleaning, caring, nursing and leadership teams are professional, caring and ready to go the extra mile. Thank you for all your support.

We have only had experience of Marine View Lodge for two weeks but are more than satisfied with the care being provided by the home. My husband has settled well and seems content which is a huge comfort for me.

We are highly impressed with the high levels and standards of care. All the staff are friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. There are plenty of activities for the residents to attend. Family members are always made to feel welcome when visiting.

Apart from the soup, the quality of the food isn't very good. Too many meals with chips! I would like to see regular nurses on duty for continuity, one week I saw four. If they stayed on the same floor, they would have a better understanding and knowledge of the residents. I also think there aren't enough carers on Dad's floor.

Lovely clean, modern building with all the equipment that is required. Kind, caring staff that support residents and families. Always happy to help at any time. The whole family feel it is the best place for his care.

We have been very pleased with the staff at Marine Lodge. They go above and beyond in engaging with the residents, making them feel almost like friends rather than care staff. The residence is run professionally and recently the number and variety of activities has improved. A wish would be for the rooms to be cleaned and hoovered more thoroughly/regularly. Recently, there has been no hot water on my mother's floor (for three weeks and counting) which means no baths/showers, which is not satisfactory. Overall, we are very happy with Marine View Lodge.
