I enjoyed the entertainment and activities. Elworth Grange is a happy homely place. Thank you for your care and support during my respite stay.
Made to feel very welcome - the food is very good and look forward toevery meal. My room is lovely with everything I need, new friends that I hope to visit. Thank you all for your kindness.
First visit to see a lady who attended groups I manage. The place and rooms are so nice, the people are friendly and my friend looks so happy. I compliment you.
I only have praise for Elworth Grange and its staff. My mum moved from another local care home and from day 1 she has been made welcome by all. The decor, facilities care etc have been wonderful and my mum has been included in all activities. The team have fully included me and kept me informed they are like family. Thanks for all you do to help me keep my mum safe and happy.
I have no doubt that there could be no better place for my father. The building, suites and facilities are well thought out and purpose-built recently from scratch. The staff in all respects are caring and supportive and open to requests to provide specific care needs. They treated my father with dignity and friendliness, and he had a special rapport with some which was heartwarming. They also made the family very welcome and extended care to us as well as to my father. There has been a great effort to provide stimulating and inclusive activities for residents.
My father-in-law was a resident at Elworth Grange for 16 months. During this time his family were frequent visitors. We were delighted he came to regard Elworth as his home and the staff like a second family for him. The staff provide an exceptional level of care. On a personal level he was treated with dignity and respect and very much as an individual as were all residents. Most importantly, the staff genuinely care about their resident's health and well-being. He was loved and cared for as if he were a member of an extended family. Staff were quick to raise any concerns with the family and to discuss how his situation could be improved. When hospital visits were necessary we were always impressed with how quickly the paramedics arrived from the nearby hospital. Staff work very hard to keep residents mobile for as long as possible. Hospital stays result in loss of mobility. My father-in-law became mobile again in an astonishingly short time after surgery or long hospital stays. Thanks to all the staff for their dedication, skill and perseverance, his transformation was amazing to watch. The family were all relieved that when palliative care was required he was able to avoid hospital and stay at Elworth. His last days at Elworth were as comfortable as possible with the district nurses on call and able to attend 24/7 if needed. Elworth is committed to caring for all its resident's relatives and we all experienced exceptional care, compassion love and practical advice from staff at all levels. During the last week of my father-in-law's life, his 4 children were able to be with him 24/7 in his room. (Not all at once, we took it in shifts). The staff fed us and comforted us which was remarkable! We all heartily recommend Elworth Grange Care Home to you, the staff are second to none, the facilities are excellent and the food is great too!
I just wanted to thank all the staff at Elworth Grange for a really fantastic 100th birthday party for Mum. They pulled out all the stops and got local schools, charities and businesses involved, she got over 140 cards thanks to the staff putting the word round and a card from the King! No less. The day went great with all the residents joining in with the celebrations, cake, food, drink and entertainment were provided as well as a trip out in a posh car offered by a local dealership. So once again all my family thank Elworth for an unforgettable day.
For the two years I've been visiting, Elworth Grange has always been a caring place and I think it got even better following the appointment of the newish manager. I feel my mum is always treated as an individual and with respect and her relationship with the staff adds interest and enjoyment to her life. I like the fact that they keep looking for different activities to offer.
Needed somewhere for my uncle the same day for respite care as house flooded. The management team were wonderful and went out of the way to help. He loves his new temporary home, he has made lots of friends and doesn't want to come home. The staff are so caring and very attentive. The food is amazing quality and my uncle has put on weight. Thank you for caring for him so well, I can't recommend Elsworth Grange highly enough.
Mum’s admission to Elworth had a few paperwork hiccups, but the transformation in her well-being makes it all worthwhile. Her dementia had left her lonely and anxious and the supportive care team have shed years off Mum by making her feel safe and cared for. The facility is spotless, purpose-built and welcoming. We could not be more grateful for finding such a good place for Mum to be looked after.
father got an infection which resulted in hospital admission, when ready for discharge he required respite care due to dementia and delirium. I happened to have a family holiday booked a week later. The team at Elwroth were utstanding in their help and assistance and left me with no doubt this care home would more than meet my father's needs.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, always someone to ask about my mum's care. Her room is nice, light, bright and spacious. The area for meals and the sitting area are spacious, with views out of the windows. The meals are set out like eating in a restaurant, nice presentation.
From my arrival I consider this to be a haven. A very beautiful home, the furnishing extremely attractive, staff work extremely hard to care for residents. Sometimes like most homes with shortages of staff, having to train agency staff. The chef has a flair for cooking and a passion for attempting to please us all. A lady chef and assistant are also talented. A real homely feel, and 24-hour care.
Elworth Grange provide excellent care and facilities for my mother-in-law. The environment is always immaculate and the staff are always friendly, helpful and attentive. Any suggestions for individual attention are taken on board, making for a fulfilling daily life. Thank you all!
My family and I have been very pleased to have discovered Elworth Grange. The management and staff have always been very attentive to any concerns that we have had with our sister and they have always been supportive of my sister and our family.
My dad has vascular dementia. Prior to moving to Elworth Grange dad had been in another care home for assessment for a period of 8 weeks. During his time at the other home, he started to have 'issues' with eating by himself and it concerned me greatly. I looked at a number of care homes for dad to call his 'forever home' and Elworth Grange stood head and shoulders above any of the others, even those more expensive. As soon as you enter the building you get a good feeling. It's like a 5* hotel, luxurious, light, spacious, bright and spotlessly clean but homely, comfortable and welcoming. I was dreading 'the move' as dad had taken weeks to settle in the first home, hence the 8-week stay for assessment. Dad has only been at Elworth Grange for a short time but he has settled in brilliantly and his eating and appetite have improved which is a testament to the staff and the Elworth Grange approach to care. Kindness, patience, encouragement and dignity. A wonderful place to call home.
My dad has been at Elworth Grange for the last four weeks as an interim, before returning home from the hospital. The staff and facilities are completely wonderful and have provided an outstanding level of personable care and diligence with him catering to all of his mobility needs and being very patient with him. His return home is tinged with sadness, as he was telling me how much he has enjoyed his time, the care, good food and socializing. The bedroom facilities are modern, spacious and well equipped, and my dad has loved the dining room and marvels at how much he feels like he is in a posh hotel. From a relative perspective, I was totally reassured at all times that my dad was receiving the best care at Elworth Grange - it is a fantastic place.
My mother stayed for two weeks respite care. From the initial viewing through to taking Mum home, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The facilities, activities and food were excellent, and I was able to speak to her by phone every day.
Mum came to Elworth Grange for 2-weeks of respite care; she was made very welcome and enjoyed her stay at the home. She enjoyed the company and could not praise the wonderful staff and management enough. Thank you.
My mother-in-law has just completed four weeks initial respite care and has decided to become a permanent resident. The difference in her over these last four weeks is wonderful to see. She has regained her appetite and is enjoying her food again. She was never one to sit still, so has been taking advantage of the varied activities on offer, from armchair exercises to cooking and flower arranging. She is fond of music and has been very complimentary of the regular entertainers who visit the home. Mum is always saying how easy to get on with and helpful all the staff are, which we have also found in our dealings with them. All these things have helped to increase her confidence and bring her back to her old self. As her family, we are reassured that she is being well looked after, and they always have her best interests at heart.
