View Full Details of Wilford View Care HomeDad was admitted to Wilford View Care Home in October 2024 following discharge from hospital. He has found adjusting to his new surroundings and full time care difficult; however, the staff have always been polite, respectful, caring , friendly and accommodating of his changing needs. Similarly to the family they have been great support ; always making time to answer questions and keeping us update on what has been happening in his life. The facilities are clean, airy and very welcoming and the building has good access, parking and security.
Where to begin? Wilford View Care Home has provided such great care to my mum for nearly two years. It was a hard transition for her, especially as she got her dementia diagnosis before Christmas at 50 years old in the beginning, and it was really hard to navigate Mum's feelings, but the staff at Wilford View were a godsend. Two particular members of staff helped make Mum feel at home when she arrived, and everyone adores her. Her room is kept clean and they accommodate her needs very well. She is mobile, so they have found ways to keep her engaged with dancing and baking and always trying to find new activities she can join in. Plus the days out trips that the care home does are too cute and it's nice to see her radiant as it brings back the smile she had when she wasn't ill. It's been the best place for her, and I highly recommend Wilford View. I'm truly grateful for their services and support.
My father has been a resident of Wilford View for over two years now. He's a happy dementia resident and is very content. Dad responds well to the staff and loves to see their smiley faces. The staff do their best to ensure Dad is looked after and is clean and tidy. He has a great appetite and really enjoys all his meals, and I must say, they look lovely too!
My cousin has been a full-time resident for approx 12 months now and although it is difficult to come to terms with needing full-time care at first I am happy to report she is now well adjusted to the idea. This is due mainly to the staff at Wilford View who have always been kind, helpful and at all times caring towards her. From my own point of view, when I have had any questions regarding my cousin's care they have always been answered promptly and in a friendly manner. This gives me and my 2 other cousins confidence that she is well looked after at all times.
My wife has been in Wilford View for many months. I visit often and find the staff and facilities excellent. It is always a pleasure to visit and feel that my wife is well cared for. The staff are kind and considerate and that in itself is so important. Her medical needs are also well looked after.
I find Wilford View Care Home a friendly place, staff have been caring and friendly with my brother, always a smile and answer any questions we have, my brother has now settled more and looks onto the staff as his family. Reception staff very helpful to me on the phone and in house.
Wilford View became my mum's home in the last 5 years. While her dementia progressed her independence was always at the forefront of the home care for her. She was safe and relaxed within the home. The staff was always on hand to answer any questions that we had as family members. Clean surroundings. Fresh smell. Communication from the home in regards to Mum's health was amazing. Open and honest. The facilities are good. The management and staff who cared for Mum in her final days were amazing. They went above and beyond for both Mum and family members. Great care home where people actually care.
Had a lovely visit to my friend today. She was in the lounge with other residents doing chair exercise, she looked so happy and was having fun. Great Instructor. After a cuppa, they began a karaoke with words on a big screen. Not wanting to interrupt I joined in, and had a great time singing and watching my friend sing along to the music, waving her arms in the air to Sweet Caroline and knowing all the words to most songs. I'll never forget the smile on her face as she joined in. A very happy friend and a lovely visit. Thanks to all the carers at Wilford View for organising all the activities at this care home.
My mother has been treated with care, kindness and the staff are wonderful to her. The well-being team have helped her become more sociable and engage in activities she would never previously have done. Her quality of life has been enhanced during her stay at Wilford View. I highly recommend this care home.
Excellent care from all the staff
My Aunt has been a resident at Wilford View Care Home since late January 2023. I am very impressed by how attentive and caring all the Staff are. Communication is always very good and I'm always kept informed and provided with updates when required regarding my Aunt's well-being. Most importantly my Aunt says how happy she is with her living and caring arrangements at Wilford View having seamlessly made the transition from living at home alone to feeling secure and cared for at Wilford View. I highly recommend Wilford View to prospective future residents and their families. Thank you for all you do.
My mum has been at Wilford View for two years. I have always been impressed with the care and attention she receives. The staff are all lovely. Any health problems are acted on quickly and I am always kept well informed. I am happy to recommend Wilford View to future users.
Mum has been a resident for almost a year now. She is very well looked after and is happy with the care she receives. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Mum did have a problem with the night staff a few months ago, but thankfully, this has now been sorted with permanent staff being recruited.
I tend to visit on weekends due to work. The number of staff working or actively working is minimal. Many are on their mobile phones or ignoring residents' calls for help. There are a few good staff but turnover is high. I always feel very sad to leave as I am concerned my mum gets no care or conversation or exercise when I'm not there. Her clothes are just thrown anywhere in her drawer and items regularly go missing. She has falls on a regular basis.
My father stayed at Wilford View Care Home for emergency respite, I have got to say he has been fantastically looked after, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. He was made to feel welcome and at home. He is going to miss the friends that he has made during his stay. You have all helped to rebuild his self-esteem and have helped him to regain his independence. I personally want to give my heartfelt thanks to you all, keep up the fantastic work that you all do.
The staff and the care home are superb and I am kept in the loop fully. The care coordinator has constantly been keeping me in the picture. Thank you.
Mum has settled really well and seems very happy. Staff are always friendly and approachable. Home is friendly and welcoming. Based on what I have seen. Access has been limited due to pandemic.
We are extremely pleased with the care and kindness shown to Mum. Everyone has shown her that she is a very special lady and helps her with all her needs. I know Mum is very happy with the support she is receiving and feels safe. Knowing Mum is safe and cared for is very reassuring to us, as a family.
The care my late father had was exemplary. He was virtually bed-bound after Covid in April 2020 and passed away in February 2021. In that time the care he got was second to none. Not only was he looked after so well, he was loved like one of their own family members. He was always smiling. If he needed specialist attention like a dietician or SALT team etc, it was dealt with. I cannot fault his care, his personal hygiene etc, given the fact he was totally dependant. My sincere thanks.
Both my Mum and Dad are in Wilford View Care Home and have been since March 2020 at the beginning of lockdown. All the staff here are fantastic, from the carers, cleaners to management. They have kept in touch with us constantly. My parents are very obviously very happy here and therefore so am I. I feel they are safe and very well looked after.
