View Full Details of Arbour WalkVery kind, professional, very polite and efficient. My mum is new to the care home. She was in a care home before which was appalling and didn't receive any quality care. The manager and staff here are excellent.
All staff especially the manager and all the caring and lovely care workers on Floor 1 - fabulous 4 course Christmas dinner with crackers and Prosecco. May I take this opportunity to thank you very much for looking after my father for nearly 3 years, he must have been very happy spending his last year with you at your splendid care home. Love you all so much.
My partner has been in this home for just over 18 months. During this time he and I have found the staff to be kind and caring towards both of us. They are very understanding of his needs and do everything possible to make him happy.
Since my dad arrived at Arbout Walk, his care has been second to none. The carers meet all his needs and always have a smile on their face. There is always a nurse around which is really reassuring. When it comes to meals there is an option of three different meals so nobody goes hungry! The wellbeing team put entertainment in the beautiful indoor garden room, cinema or even the bar area so there can always be things to do. Overall I think Arbour Walk has been a perfect fit for my dad and I know at all times he is being well looked after so I could not ask for more.
My Father had been in another care home since August 2023 during this time I noticed a steady decline in his well-being. So in April 2024, he moved to Arbour Walk, in the short time he has been at Arbour Walk there has been a vast improvement in his health and cleanliness. He is happy at his new home. This is all down to the manager and excellent care team at Arbour Walk. For which I will be eternally grateful. My Father and myself cannot thank all at Arbour Walk for their help and friendship.
Lovely caring workers, always happy to support. Manager always professional and a good listener.
My dearest Mother spent her last 2 years at Arbour. The care my Mother received was of the highest level. The staff are all very caring and compassionate towards the residents and visitors which is very comforting. Beautiful home and gardens. Most importantly, I could go home knowing Mum was in safe hands at all times. Five-star service.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Always welcome.
My mother has been in Arbour Walk now for seven weeks. I was very nervous at first but I can honestly say I should have no worries, the management and staff have been a credit to the care facility. They are warm, friendly, and very understanding at a difficult time. Thank you.
My Mum was a resident at this home from March 2020 until February of this year when she passed away peacefully. During the entire time she was there she received exemplary care and respect from every member of staff there, in fact, they had become her extended family. I have nothing but praise for the dignity and care in which Mum and our family were forwarded from the staff at this home over the period of almost 4 years, especially in her final days.
My sister has been a resident of Arbour Walk for almost 3 years. At all times the home has looked after her in an exemplary kind and caring manner. All her needs are met and they always contact me if there are any concerns in respect of her health. An excellent well-managed home with wonderful staff from the manager, nurses, carers and domestic staff. A well-deserved thank you.
My mother has been at Arbour Walk since the Spring of 2023 and to date, I and my immediate family have only praise for the care and kindness she receives from all staff involved. I and my family visit my mother every day and we leave her in the knowledge that she is in safe hands. Thank you so much to everyone involved in my mother's care.
My mother-in-law is very well looked after. I'm very happy with everything. Thank you to all the staff for their amazing care.
Very friendly, staff are very friendly, very clean, caring, always very helpful. Food is very good but not things for the elderly to eat. Management is very kind and very helpful.
Cannot praise Arbour Walk highly enough. All the staff were kind, caring, patient and helpful at all times. They kept us fully informed at all times and answered all our questions whenever we telephoned (every day). They were very accommodating to all our needs during my husband's palliative care. From managers to nursing/care staff, caterers and housekeepers - too many to mention - thank you all so very much for being a wonderful team.
I have recently moved my Mum to Arbour Walk from another care home. I was extremely worried about the transition, however, meetings with the manager prior to her move were so reassuring and informative that I realised I had no need to worry. Mum also had a visit before her move and was shown around by the manager. There were lots of laughs and she was also given an Easter egg! The staff have been amazing, warm, friendly, attentive and approachable. They have worked so hard settling her in and through times of distress (due to her illness) they have been brilliant in supporting her. It is clear they are trained to a high level and manage very well. The communication with myself so far has also been excellent, finding out as much as possible about my mum to ensure they can support her in the best way possible. The home itself is spotlessly clean and the decor and interior are designed to a very high standard and are reflective of the care provided. Highly recommend this home.
My wife went into Arbour Walk on Thursday 12th October 2022. She soon got on with the staff, to her they were her friends and nothing is too much for them to do. There is so much for residents to do there, sensory room, theatre, cinema, lounges, restaurant, etc. It is a very clean home and is very well looked after by the maintenance crew. There are cleaners looking after the building all day long. If you want a friendly nursing home this is the one for you and the manager visits the residents every day which is great. Nearly forgot to mention my wife is 94 years of age. A five-star home worth a visit.
I just want to say a big thank you to all the staff who looked after my mum for the last three months she was resident at Arbour Walk. She was treated with such dignity at all times and the staff and management were brilliant, looking after her and her needs. I couldn't recommend this home enough for elderly care.
Very pleased with my wife's stay in Arbour Walk. Rooms are kept clean and tidy and staff are always very caring.
Whilst my husband appears to be getting good care, the standard of communication is less than satisfactory. This is very frustrating for relatives. We phone regularly but with the utmost respect, it has to be said that it is frequently very difficult to follow the conversation. In addition to this, relatives have travelled a great distance to see a loved one to discover that they were not allowed access even though the visit had been pre-arranged with the office staff! I think the nursing care and attention to the residents is very good and deserves more than three stars which I have given in the category rating, but communication with relatives needs to be improved on all levels. In addition, the telephone manner of the office staff leaves a lot to be desired.
