View Full Details of Fenchurch House Care HomeMy dad was a resident at Fenchurch House Care Home from June 2024 to February 2025. The care given to dad was outstanding - all of the staff were very kind and caring and always had a smile and a friendly word for everyone. Dad settled in better than anyone could expect and I believe this is a testament to the whole staff team at Fenchurch. As a family we were confident in knowing that he was being well looked after as the Fenchurch family became an extension of our own. As dad's needs changed, his care was seamlessly amended to incorporate anything he found he needed more help with. The support from the team at Fenchurch for our mum and the rest of the family was second to none, there was always someone we could talk to at any time of the day or night. I would have no hesitation whatsoever to recommend Fenchurch and would like to think if I need care in the future I could be cared for by the team at Fenchurch.
Fenchurch is a fabulous place, it is more than just a care home, it is an actual "home" for the residents. The facilities are excellent, but even better than that are the staff, who are quite superb. My Father has been a resident there for just over a year (he's 97) and we value the care provided so much, that his sister has now moved in as well, both are extremely well looked after and couldn't be happier, it's a great place.
My mum has been cared for in 2 previous care environments during the past 7 years. During this time period, I have never witnessed such high standards of care that mum is currently receiving. The manager and staff are just so accommodating on every level. The kindness and consideration and care there I have witnessed in the past 7 weeks has brought tears to my eyes. After each visit, I leave feeling very content, knowing that mum is being cared for in the best possible way. I have found the care staff so attentive, professional and always so well informed of mums requirements. I am always able to receive relevant updates on mum's health and well-being daily. Exceptional in so many ways.
Every time I visit I am very impressed with the care and respect shown towards my sister. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. It was my sister's birthday today and it was made so special for her, with a cake, gifts, decorations etc. She became unwell briefly, the alarm raised, the response was immediate, and dealt with efficiently and calmly. My sister always tells me she is very happy at Fenchurch and it really is an exceptional care home.
We are eternally grateful for the love and care given to my beloved wife during her stay. Her illness was an emotional roller coaster that was easier to bear with the support and friendship we received from the Fenchurch family. We were impressed and moved by the compassion and dedication of all the staff thought and particularly in her final weeks.
I would like to thank everyone at Fenchurch House Care Home for looking after my mother in law while we went on holiday. She had an amazing time joining in all the activities: singing, bingo, knitting and many more. I would highly recommend this care home, it's beautiful. The staff are lovely and went above and beyond to make her stay just perfect. We were able to go away knowing she had the best care.
A lovely care home-like hotel. The staff are great, especially the well-being team. Keep all the residents occupied with mental and physical stimulation. One criticism the home managers never seem to stay long - residents just get used to them then they leave. Management needs to appoint someone with a familiar face who has been working there for a while.
I can't rate this home highly enough on so many levels. My elderly mother has had to make the difficult emotional transition from living at home with care, to needing a full residential placement. From the day she arrived, she was welcomed and treated with kindness and respect. Not only are the facilities, food and nursing care to the highest standard, my mother is treated so kindly by all the staff - most importantly, she is safe and happy.
All the staff I have encountered have been very upbeat, approachable, friendly and very caring towards the residents. It is lovely to see how the Activities Team get so involved with the residents, singing and dancing with everyone, encouraging creativity, and bringing joy to everyone. My mother-in-law seems very happy and at home at Fenchurch and this is testament to the level of care she is receiving. Thank you all for taking such good care of her.
The quality of individual care provided by the whole team at Fenchurch is truly exceptional. Everyone's kindness and care has helped Mum settle in and find joy in new activities and making new friends. A huge thank you to the team for everything you do every day as it makes a huge difference to both the residents and their families. Thank you.
My father has been in this care home for about 2 months now and the change in him has been amazing. He has gone from strength to strength. The food is incredible and his appetite has returned as he really enjoys the variety and all the things he loves. My mind is at ease knowing he is being well looked after. All the staff we have met are lovely, caring and kind, nothing is too much trouble for them, they always have time to chat and listen to any concerns we might have. I really can’t say enough about this amazing care home and all the people that work there. The staff go above and beyond to make life as comfortable and happy as it can be for all the residents.
My father-in-law is very happy with the care that he is receiving and his mental health has improved significantly since taking up residence. Physically, he is eating much better than he did at home and is engaging with others much more positively. I have been very impressed with the quality of his care and, most importantly, the kind, caring and compassionate nature of all of the staff. The care home is welcoming and feels more like a quality hotel than a care home. The facilities are excellent and the food has been very good whenever I have joined him for a meal. Lots of activities are delivered, including regular days out which he enjoys greatly. I couldn’t recommend this care home highly enough.
Our friend was a resident at Fenchurch House Care Home for almost a year before her unfortunate passing in mid-March. She loved the home and adored the staff who treated her not only with care and dignity but with real love. When she passed recently the nursing staff especially were magnificent and ensured her wishes were meticulously adhered to. We have nothing but praise and admiration for everyone at the home. From cleaners to managers they are professional and caring. As friends/relatives we were always listened to and any points raised were always addressed.
Both my dad and my stepmother have dementia and are residents. The kindness, patience and genuine affection that all of the team shows to both of them is incredible. It is like they are all part of a big family and the care that they receive is really wonderful to see. They are both so calm, settled and happy and this is down to the fantastic work that all of the Fenchurch team do to keep them safe and happy.
My mother has been a resident for over two years in this care home. She is always well cared for and the staff treat her with respect and compassion. The carers know her by name and can recognise her non verbal cues. The staff place a tremendous energy into the residents' well-being and frequently have events to encourage families to participate and join in with their loved ones. The staff are always courteous to myself and family and supportive/compassionate towards us. Nothing is ever too much trouble. You do a wonderful job.
Mum has dementia and is sadly declining physically, too. The team at Fenchurch are incredibly caring, all the more evident when Mum was unwell. Thankfully, she is back from hospital and amongst the care home family again, which is where she would much rather be. The kindness of the team shines bright - they are kind to Mum and kind to us as visitors. Thank you.
My aunt has been a resident at Fenchurch House Care Home since May 2023, after it became obvious that she was no longer able to manage to live in her own home. As her next of kin, I was very anxious to find her a lovely home, where she would be well looked after and happy. I have had previous excellent experience of other homes in the same Group, so was very pleased that Fenchurch had a room available at short notice. After a few weeks respite to see how she settled, she was very happy to become a permanent resident. She absolutely loves being there. She is constantly telling me how happy she is, how lovely the staff are, how well she is being looked after and how good the food is! She often tells me that I couldn’t have found her a better place to live, which makes me very happy. Personally I feel as though we are made to feel part of one large loving family. Everybody is so lovely, really kind and nothing seems to be too much trouble. A really excellent Care Home.
My congratulations to all concerned for yet another marvellous party celebrating the third birthday of this wonderful care home. Fenchurch House Care Home really should receive an award for being party-central! Dad enjoyed himself a great deal and was just what he needed after a tough week or so. To see him singing along and smiling his wonderful smile was priceless. Dad has been at Fenchurch since January and it is now his permanent home and what a fabulous home it is. Dad, myself and the whole family have nothing but high praise, love, thanks and gratitude for everything you all do so very well.
My mother-in-law was a temporary resident at Fenchurch House Care Home following her discharge from hospital and whilst we waited for a place to become available in Market Deeping. Our initial explorative visit to Fenchurch House to discuss options for her was very reassuring with the Manager and Senior Carer explaining all options available to us clearly and professionally and answering all our questions. Although she was only there for a very short time, my mother-in-law was made to feel very welcome and received a high level of care. Thank you.
My wife has been in Fenchurch House Care Home since August last year 2022. The accommodation is superb, the staff are extremely helpful. I feel that my wife is in superb care, her every need is attended to quickly with kindness and thoughtfulness.
