View Full Details of Lakelands LodgeIn the beginning, my aunt wasn't too sure as she was living independently and found it hard to accept help from strangers. As time went by she became to realise the staff were here to help her and make her stronger, and they certainly did. The once strangers have become family. Not only to Aunty, also to her extended family. Brilliant staff, unfortunately I can't use names, however, they will know who they are.
The care that my sister received whilst being really poorly with a badly infected leg. Whoever I put my concern to was very 'up' with the situation. Always helpful to me with many of my questions. I much appreciate all the care that she received by the 2nd floor staff. (Blackbeard) floor.
My mum isn't well at the moment, her care has been wonderful and my sister and I have been visiting daily for hours and have been visiting daily for hours and have been looked after by the staff. Well done to all of them, such lovely caring people.
Lovely pleasant staff. Activities are second to none, all the residents love it and so do the visitors.
A very good place, with staff and excellent care for my father.
I am very happy with the care that Mum gets here. The staff are all great and take such good care of her. The activities put on brighten up her day and she enjoys a sing-song in the lounge with everyone.
Since my brother-in-law was admitted to Lakelands Lodge we have been most impressed with the overall standard of his accommodation, the care he has received and his medical assistance. The staff have gone out of their way to settle him into the home. We have always found them to be cheerful, polite and helpful and the home is always spotless. We feel he is fortunate to be in such a caring establishment.
Often taken out into the community in my wheelchair with a member of staff and usually another resident. Plenty to do, also with music and karaoke. People will visit the home and entertain the residents who really enjoy their visit. Today I was taken to church (23/07/2024) for communion with a member of staff and another resident and will attend the church on other occasions in the future. Plenty to do in the month. Very pleased with the care I receive.
Lovely clean home, the staff is friendly and helpful and always there for you, my mum looks clean and tidy all the time. Chat with other resident's relatives. Activitities always involve my mum in their day-to-day role.
I visit my relative once a week as I don't live in the area. Over a number of weeks, I found soiled/dirty clothing in his bedroom drawers. A week ago I found a large number of clothes in the drawer (shirts/pants/underwear) dirty and unwashed. These were not from one day but several days. There was also a faeces stain on the bedcover. I informed staff who agreed that at 1:30 pm in the afternoon this should not be the case. I complained but to date have not had any explanation or apology. My poor review for cleanliness is based on this experience.
Having had a parent in a previous care home which was a converted residence, therefore not fit for purpose. Here being purpose-built, it's airy, easy to move around and a fabulous location with sea views. The staff are very friendly and approachable (with one or two exceptions!) the social events are well if not excellently organised, full of fun, music and laughter. I have downgraded my rating for cleanliness due to the amount of soiled clothing found in the resident's room.
Very good care of my mother we would not have wanted her to be anywhere else. Very good facilities, excellent care and conscientious staff, always willing to help with a smile. Ice cream on hand any time of the day. Shame my mam could not appreciate the views.
Following my daughter's wedding we had a 're-run' at Lakelands Lodge for my mum. It was excellent. The staff went to a great deal of trouble and my mum loved it. Thank you so much!
We regularly visit my mother-in-law at Lakelands Lodge, she is happy, comfortable and very well looked after here. The staff are always jolly and attentive. It was my daughter's wedding (her granddaughter) and she arrived with the groom (the wedding march was playing) the lounge was beautifully laid out with cakes and glasses ready for our Procecco, really wonderful for her grandma, for us and other residents. Fabulous, well done Lakelands staff!
The staff are amazing with the residents. During our visits, the staff are very friendly. The care that the staff show my mother-in-law is first-class. Thank you.
The staff are lovely. Very friendly and interactive with the residents.
Our daughter has special needs and loves the activities at Lakelands Lodge, she likes music and also takes part in any ball games as she likes throwing the ball at cans and people. Likes being in the garden too as they go outside with activities when the weather is nice.
Excellent service throughout. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The home is very clean and organised. Wonderful place for our parents.
Had an amazing visit today. Sunshine and music, fabulous singing and dancing by the entertainment carer today and residents, she always gets their spirits lifted, also mine. Top carers on all floors. Went home really uplifted today. Thank you for an uplifting visit today.
Mum has been in Lakelands Lodge for a couple of years now and the love and care she has had and still ongoing is lovely. All the staff are cheerful and caring, and the love they have for all VIPs is beautiful. Thank you to all.
