View Full Details of Edenbridge Manor Care Home - Avery HealthcareMum and Dad went to Edenbridge Manor for a respite stay after Dad had a period in hospital. I can't speak highly enough of the home and the staff and the experience was so good that my brother and I would have preferred them to stay.
My father has been cared for now, for several months. His care has been nothing short of amazing. The care staff are attentive and very focused on person-centred care. The management team have been incredible every step of the way. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. The young lady on reception always greets with an amazing smile and kindness. Altogether an amazing team.
The home is luxurious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food and how it is presented is excellent.
I have visited Endbridge Manor regularly to share Holy Communion with residents over the last eighteen months. I have found the home to be consistently warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly and efficient and there seems to be a genuine desire to address the wellbeing of the residents.
The staff are very welcoming when entering the reception. Spotless and very clean. Lovely coffee machine with cakes and biscuits for all to enjoy. Resident's room is nice and spacious with her own little patio on to the garden. In the piano room, they had a 'Mad Hatters Tea Party' which all the residents were keen to join in with lots of yummy cakes.
My wife and I came to Edenbridge Manor Care Home in March 2023. I am 92 and my wife is 90. We did not look forward to having to leave our bungalow in a very pretty village in South Northamptonshire. Having no family in that area, we chose The Manor to be closer to our last remaining family member. Wow what a great choice we made. It has been all that you could have wished for from the beginning until the present. 5 star accommodation with 5 star service.
My family joined my nan for a community lunch. We had a table laid to join my nan. The lunch was beautifully presented. Roast chicken, stuffing, cauliflower cheese, baby carrots, broccoli stems and gravy. Was very tasty! With one my favourite old school classics of jam and coconut sponge with custard for pudding. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who made us feel very welcome.
My mother is being very well looked after at Edenbridge Manor and is happy and settled there. The staff are very caring and she is treated with great respect. There is always a calm and pleasant atmosphere when I visit and the facilities and meals are very good too. We have had a couple of internal communication issues, but they have been resolved quickly.
My mum was here for six weeks. The home is like a hotel and feels very luxurious. The staff are lovely, polite, caring and helpful (lot of agency staff). Mum was on the top floor so the food was brought up from downstairs. By the time it reached her (on a cold plate), it was cold. She didn't like the meals and at one point we brought in microwave meals for her. A Ploughman's supper consisted of half a slice of processed ham, a thin slice of corned beef, a 50p size brie and a roll, she had to ask for butter! Other residents complained too but it wasn't resolved. Housekeeping wasn't great. She had to ask for her bed and towels to be changed after two weeks as there was no sign of it being done, cleaning was intermittent and the bins were not emptied regularly. When mum cut her leg there was not a first aid kit, no plasters or bandages available, the carer found her one from her handbag! The laundry lost a pair of her trousers and one wash wasn't ironed. Major improvement needed.
Lovely building, rooms and people as care staff, caring, smiley, they mean well. But it is very important to note that, despite their clothing, there are no nurses on staff at all! It's a residential care home', they hammered this home, when they came to me to tell me her residency has been terminated. I would love to show you the letter sent to me, but sadly on this platform, I can't, maybe on another social media platform. The deputy manager, admitted, that they had a number of residents that they could no longer cope with and were similarly being asked to leave! My mum, is not aggressive or angry, as some with dementia can get. She has become immobile, needs help into a wheelchair and eating, and her legs have a skin infection. With no nurses on staff they can't change the bandages. They have issued a letter advising me the final date of her residency will be the 20th of June. If your loved one will need a nurse at any stage, or more care than they do now, please look elsewhere.
Edenbridge Manor Care Home does not feel like a care home, more like a very fine hotel. All the staff I met were welcoming. Friendly, professional and very helpful. Thank you.
Fantastic facilities, professional staff. Outstanding care and consideration to all residents - highly recommended.
Very caring staff, excellent facilities, lovely food especially the soups! Nice light, airy rooms. Easy for visitors to come any time. I was in after an ankle operation and was able to manage very well after a day or two.
Very pleased with the overall ambience. Pleasant atmosphere created by all the staff. The building and surroundings deserve special praise to complete the experience.
Very pleased with the home, it's been a pleasure to visit my sister-in-law. Everybody is very friendly and helpful.
From the initial visit and tour where we have seen our residents' health and environment dramatically improve. As a dementia patient who is wheelchair bound I am and continue to be very pleased about how he is treated and looked after in a genuine fashion. The staff are attentive and caring. My father has become more alert and active and he sees more of the day despite his dementia clearly advancing to the point that he cannot recognise anyone anymore. But he is safe and cared for that is truly marvellous.
Everyone is lovely here, so friendly and welcoming. My dad is so happy here and enjoys meeting and talking to everyone. The standard of care is high and everyone here is well looked after. Everyone from the carers to the staff knew all the resident's names. After looking at lots of other care homes this one is definitely the best one for everything you need for your family members to be cared for.
The staff are caring and treat mum as an individual. When mum became unwell they provided excellent care for her and her family members. It is such a relief to know mum is safe and well cared for in the last years of her life.
Staff always very attentive and caring. Always looking to help. Full range of activities keeps the residents happy and entertained.
My father is well looked after. The staff are excellent and treat him well. More could be offered in the way of activities.
