View Full Details of Woodland ViewWhen I first visited Woodland View staff were happy and helpful. A particular staff member was very informative showing us the care home and another staff member again friendly and helpful when assessing Mum. I get good vibes from the carers who do seem to really care. Well done, keep up the good work.
Beautiful place. Clean. Cosy. Staff professional and friendly.
What a lovely, caring place for a relative to stay in. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to fulfil each individual's needs - they really make the place what it is. They couldn't be more welcoming, helpful or compassionate. The residents stay in smart comfortable hotel-like rooms, with en suite facilities that are easy to use and accessible. There are a good number of different areas that they can access, providing variety and company (or privacy) depending on the resident's requirements. A timetable of daily activities is provided which residents can attend if they so wish. The lounge areas are cosy and comfortable and rarely crowded. The Home's situation is a quiet suburban one, surrounded by garden grounds, tucked away from major roads with ample parking. I would highly recommend Woodland View.
I can finally relax in the knowledge my father is being well looked after while on respite with the hope of becoming a permanent resident. All staff go above and beyond in making sure my father feels safe and supported as his health deteriorates. He is treated not only with respect and dignity at all times but I can honestly say the staff are so caring, it comes from the heart, making my father feel valued and listened to in matters of his care. Thank you so much.
The staff at Woodland View can't do enough for you, all my mother's needs are fulfilled in every way. Lots of care involved as in tactile/emotion which my mum loves and highest respect for all the clients observed.
My sister has been at Woodland View for three months due to dementia. When she arrived she was initially bewildered; the staff managed her transition to the home very well and she settled quickly. I have been very impressed with the staff, facilities, beautiful decor and overall atmosphere. The staff are kind and courteous, the residents are friendly; there are frequent activities that my sister enjoys. There are quiet areas for visiting as well as the communal areas where residents socialise. All in all I am very satisfied that my sister has the best quality of life possible in her circumstances.
Very pleased with the standard of care my father has received since moving in. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Always seem to have something going on to keep the residents entertained. The individual rooms and the communal areas are excellent.
Woodland View is an absolutely wonderful care home! The staff are incredibly compassionate and attentive, making every resident feel cherished and at home. It truly feels like a loving, extended family.
Initially my mother entered Woodland View for respite care after surgery. She liked the home so much she has enrolled on a permanent basis. When she entered she was frail, had been catheterized for weeks and hadn't had a shower or any personal care for most of the time in hospital. To look at her was heartbreaking. Within two weeks at Woodland View she looked like a different person, restored by care and kindness. She has found new friends among the other residents, enrolled in a knitting group, used the library at the home and participated in events, such as cake decoration with local school children. Her life is now richer than when she was alone in her own home. Woodland View is purpose-built and staffed by caring people. Both of these are tremendous advantages. The basics are right; the en suite bathrooms easy to use even with limited mobility, the food is good. I've eaten there with the residents. I've visited 6 care homes in the area. This is the best.
It's a pleasure to visit my friend here. The staff are always on hand to help and make me feel at ease. Had a fantastic New Year's Eve lunch with my friend so it was a really good start to the New Year for both of us. I was worried about my friend moving there but she has settled very well in a short time. Thank you to all the staff for making us so welcome.
As a family we ae happy with Woodland View all the staff are amazing and so friendly. Mum has settled in well and gets on with all the carers. This only compliant from Mum is that she wished the food was better, apart from that she is quite happy.
Mum stayed at Woodland View for 4 weeks in November. The experience was very good, with all staff friendly, helpful and approachable. Two staff members in particular went above and beyond to help Mum fit in and be comfortable during her stay. If I have a criticism, weekends did seem low on staff and generally the food provisions were mixed. However, we will consider another stay in the future.
My Aunt and I chose Woodland View for a few weeks of respite care when her home circumstances changed overnight. She is now a permanent resident and very happy to live here. On our initial visit to look around the care home, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was very warm and inviting and our first impressions were that of a 5-star hotel! It is modern, bright and has lovely facilities that are exceptionally clean and tidy. All the staff are really approachable and very caring. Nothing is too much trouble. I feel reassured she is in the best possible place now. My Aunt gets involved in the day-to-day activities which she enjoys and she has made several friends. Woodland View is a fabulous place and deserves its 5 stars without a doubt.
We had to find a safe place for mum at very short notice in August 2024. From the very first email and phone call the team at Woodland View were efficient, warm, welcoming and above all caring. Without exception, every member of staff has gone above and beyond to care for her. The environment is very well managed, clean and cozy with a great balance between stimulating activities and peaceful corners to sit and watch the world go by. Mums health and mental state has improved in leaps and bounds since moving in and this has been simply down to care, support and companionship. She seems so happy and content and is very much recognised as an individual by the team.
These last few months would've been impossible without the support of the staff and facilities at Woodland View. The staff are so friendly and helpful, I can't say enough good things about them. They've really helped Mum settle in while my Dad has been in hospital. The ensuite rooms are clean and comfortable so Mum has the choice of company in the main living areas or a bit of quiet time on her own. Highly recommended.
I cannot praise Woodland View enough for the help that my husband received for his recent stay. The staff are professional, friendly, approachable, kind and caring, and I always felt welcome when visiting him. Woodland View is a lovely care home, is spotlessly clean, warm and safe, and I would like to say a big thank you to you all who looked after him.
My dad was booked into Woodland View for a fortnight respite break where we had anticipated that he could use all the lovely facilities and activities that he had seen on a tour. We chose Woodland View due to the lovely surroundings and its homely feel. After an unexpected rapid and irreversible decline in his health only days before arriving, the Woodlands View staff immediately stepped up to offer Dad an amazing level of enhanced personal care. Alll the staff seem to genuinely care about each resident, going above and beyond what I expected in terms of valuing every elderly person as an individual and offering unrushed friendly companionship to each resident and their families. As such, we were very happy to extend Dad's stay to live out his days there. Towards the end of his life, all the staff at Woodland View worked very hard to ensure that Dad remained comfortable, cared for and treated with dignity. There is no better place that I could have hoped him to live once living at home became untenable, and I would not hesitate to recommend Woodlands View to others.
The staff at Woodland View are very kind, respectful, courteous and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. It is a beautiful care home and the activities are wide ranging, all interests and requests are covered. Dad seems very happy there.
My husband has Parkinson's and dementia. Needing a break from caring for him, I visited Woodland View and loved the friendliness of staff and the appearance of rooms. I was very impressed with the care and attention given to residents. The manager came to our home and did an assessment. He loved the care, the choice of meals and activities. He now comes to the gentlemen's club on Tuesday afternoons which allows me some respite.
What a fabulous place Woodland View is! All of the staff go above and beyond for the residents. They have such empathy with them and make residential living fun, enjoyable and interesting, helping the residents make the most of every day. All of my father's needs are taken care of, from the laundry to his beautifully cleaned room, to the chefs making food, specifically for him, to his medical needs. Everyone has time for him and to help and reassure the family if they need it. Nothing is too much trouble. A big thank you to everyone who has made my dad's transition to the care home as easy as possible.
