View Full Details of BowbrookMy dad arrived at Bowbrook in July 2023, and already, the change in him is overwhelming. He is so much more alert and happy. He is loving having access to a garden and is joining in with all of the activities. The staff are fantastic as they all have so many skills; their dementia training is also excellent, so they really know how to get the very best out of every resident and enhance their lives. My dad chats away to everyone and is so much more relaxed in himself. The building is beautiful and so clean everywhere, it also has beautiful gardens. I cannot recommend Bowbrook highly enough for anyone who has a loved one in need of such expertise.
Our mother arrived at Bowbrook having to be transferred by hoist and otherwise bedridden following a fall at home and hospitalisation. Three months later she was able to walk to a car and return home to independent living. This has been our first experience of a care home and cannot praise the care and attention of the staff highly enough. We will be forever grateful for their expertise and guidance in helping mum achieve her goal.
My wife moved into Bowbrook shortly after it opened in July 2021. She has now been in residence for 5 weeks and this has allowed my family and I to form a good assessment of standards. Firstly, being a newly built care home the accommodation and facilities are excellent. Secondly, and equally important, the level of care has been very good. All staff are professional, attentive, supportive and friendly which has enabled my wife to make the sometimes difficult transition to full-time care as smooth and stress-free as possible. Food is good and she looks forward to her meals and daytime activities. The family are very pleased with our choice of Bowbrook and have no hesitation in recommending it.
My Mother has had Parkinson's disease and Lewes Body dementia for the last 11 years and over the last 3 years, we have seen as a family a deterioration that has left my Father struggling to cope with her care needs. We have used several residential homes in the area for respite breaks and so I am writing this review from experience and comparison. Bowbrook is a brand new care home and my Mother is currently one of five residents. She has settled in extremely well. I have been impressed with the care team as a whole and they have gotten to know my Mother in a relatively short space of time (3 weeks), nothing is too much trouble for them. The food is excellent. There are activities in the afternoon that my Mother is engaging in. A hairdresser is now on board and they are about to start stocking up the on-site shop. My Mother has formed friendships with the other residents. We can book by appointment and a family member has visited each day. I would recommend.
