View Full Details of Barchester Kings Park Care HomeI enjoy living here and feel safe & comfortable.
As a resident in this care home I find that although I would prefer living at home, this is really the next best thing. I find it to be very clean, warm and an extremely comfortable place in which to live. The staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful, the food is good and we are provided with and encouraged to partake in various events, games and the like to keep us entertained. I would commend it to anyone aged as a good place in which to live.
Until recently my wife was a resident in the dementia unit at Kings Park Care Home. Initially for a period of respite care and then as a permanent resident. During her stay the care and compassion provided by the whole team at Kings Park was exceptional. As my wife's health deteriorated a move to a specialist dementia care home became necessary. The assistance given in initiating and facilitating the move by the management and staff at Kings Park was above and beyond what I could have hoped for. I have no hesitation in recommending Kings Park.
Very happy.
Our cousin has been in Barchester Kings Park Care Home for almost two years. Her quality of life has improved and she is well cared for in both health and mental activity. Physically, she looks more relaxed and well cared for. When she was living in her own bungalow, she looked worried and was a danger to herself. The staff are kind and loving and she has responded well to this attention.
During the period in question, I was placed in your care home to enable my full-time carers some respite. While I was there, all my needs were satisfied quickly and with a pleasing touch of humour which was very much to my taste. Well done!
Barchester Kings Park Care Home is run professionally and efficiently but also manages to retain a warm and welcoming atmosphere for both residents and relatives. The premises are purpose-built, clean and comfortable. My father spent two and a half years here and was happy and fond of the staff. I have no hesitation in recommending the home to others.
When trying to identify the right home for my mother, we found the manager and her team to be very professional in ensuring, they could meet my mother's needs. Their assessment not only focused on understanding her care needs but also took into account her social needs and well-being. Barchester Kings Park Care Home offers a high standard of care and provides a wide range of daily activities. We were able to visit the home the day before to set up her room and when she arrived, my mother was immediately made to feel welcome and met with the chef to discuss her dietary needs. We left feeling confident that my mother would be looked after and as became evident the following day, they would liaise with us if they had any concerns. Unfortunately, my mother became unexpectedly unwell, the staff responded immediately, took all the correct steps and kept us informed of what they were doing. We have no hesitation in recommending Kings Park and only wish they had nursing care so my mum could return there.
My mother has been a resident for over two years. Initially on the ground floor and now on memory land, the specialist dementia floor. She is settled and content. All of the staff take great interest in her well-being. The whole home is immaculate and extremely well-equipped. Mum particularly enjoys the garden and trips out in the home's minibus.
We have always found the staff friendly, supportive and approachable, nothing is too much trouble.
Excellent care home with lovely staff. If there are ever any issues, they are always dealt with respectfully and efficiently. The home is beautifully kept and very clean and the food and drink are of a good standard. I feel happy that my father is well cared for and looked after.
All staff made my mother and myself welcome. My mother has been well taken care of and the food has been so good. Mum has put on half a stone!
I don't want to go home. Everyone has been kind and patient.
Kings Park is a beautiful, bright home I have found it to be so welcoming, the staff are all so friendly and they always make time to speak and help with any questions. It was a very hard decision to put my dear friend into a home, but the staff made it so easy, no pressure and were just all round a great support to settling her in. We definitely chose the right place. Thank you Kings Park.
My room is nice and spacious. Plenty of good quality food. Well-kept gardens. The atmosphere is good. All the carers are cheerful, friendly and happy.
My husband was a resident at Kings Park from January-November 2023. He had complex needs but was treated with compassion, empathy and dignity. As a family we found the care and support given to us as well as my husband was excellent. Sadly my husband passed away in November but as a family we found the kindness and support especially from two members of staff in particular at this sad time was such a comfort. Kings Park is an excellent care home for your loved ones.
This is a lovely care home. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is one of care and respect. The facilities are lovely, and the staff are interested in providing a range of positive experiences for the residents.
Needed complete rest, following an operation, to fully recuperate before going home. Excellent environment and facilities. Caring and kind staff. Good management shown. Lovely, comfortable room. Treated with dignity at all times. If I need to, I would certainly come to Barchester Kings Park Care Home.
As a family, we are very pleased with all the care and support my mum received from all the staff at Barchester. The staff are very friendly, always willing to help whenever needed. I have seen my mum settle into her new home since last November. She is really enjoying all the activities that are available to her. My mum has dementia and she feels very safe at King's Park. Mum is always treated with dignity and care, very pleased with the overall experience.
My nan has been at Barchester Kings Park Care Home for nearly a year now. It is clear to see how settled, happy and well looked after she is. The staff at Kings Park are a very special group of people, they'd do anything for the residents. Each and every time we visit, we are greeted with a smile. If you're looking for somewhere to care for a loved one how you'd care for them yourself then Kings Park is the place.
