View Full Details of Meadows Park Care HomeVisited a family friend for the first time at Meadow Park and was blown away by how lovely it is. Spotless, all the staff were welcoming and very friendly. Our family friend is there for respite and has said he has never felt so comfortable or had better meals anywhere else. He couldn't say enough about how the team have been so kind to him. He is very happy there and it shows. Thank you for giving such amazing care to someone so special to us
Words cannot adequately express my thanks for the care given to my mum at end of life. The entire team, because that's what they are, a superb team, showed the utmost care, respect and kindness. From the carers, front of house, housekeeping, management, domestic including the chefs, activity coordinators - everyone I met treated my mum and me , my sister and other family members with extreme kindness, respect . I was overwhelmed by their care. Every member of staff was cheerful, made time to explain what was happening, always knocked before entering mum's room, always asked and explained to mum what they were doing as they cared for mum. My sister and I were fully included in mum's care plan. The staff were so supportive of us . Their kindness and gentleness, especially when mum died made a sad and difficult time a little more bearable. My one regret is that mum didn't move here when she was fitter as she would have enjoyed the wonderful programme of activities on offer.
I had a happy and regenerative 2 weeks here for which I was very grateful. I was looked after well and patiently by everyone.
My only issue was the cleanliness of the dining room. I know it's a problem in the dementia part but cleaners should be able to clean up vomit pretty soon. Even the chairs looked grubby. But apart from this issue, we had no other problems and the staff were nice and friendly.
The front of house manager was excellent - supportive when we were considering care options for Dad as he was being discharged from hospital. His room was perfect. He didn't join in with activities as preferred to read in his room. We would definitely recommend to others!
My mum spent 2 years at Meadow Park. The staff couldn't have done more for her and treated her with kindness and compassion. I do not live locally so was very appreciative of the regular calls and knowing my mum was being well cared for. My mum particularly enjoyed the delicious food and entertainment and had a lovely room with access to the garden. Would wholeheartedly recommend Meadows Park if you are looking for care for a loved one.
Mum thoroughly enjoyed her week long stay and felt safe and comfortable throughout. It was reassuring to us, as a family, that she was safe, happy and enjoying herself. Mum reported that food was good, staff friendly and fun and she soon made friends with other residents, made easier by the openness of the facility. Would we recommend? Gosh yes!
My wife and I visited our cousin who had had a stroke and was seriously disabled as a result. We were very impressed with all aspects of the care home. The premises were well-kept and clean and the facilities were excellent. The rooms were very comfortable and inviting. But, above all the staff were fantastic, treating everyone as individuals, being kind, caring and uplifting.
We have had such a positive experience with this care home. From the minute you walk in there is a sense of calm. The place is exceptionally clean, nobody is crying or screaming (which I witnessed at another expensive care home in the area). The food is exceptional (although a couple of residents noted it could be a little warmer). I would like to mention the activity coordinator- she does an absolutely fantastic job. Whilst Mum has been there they have had therapy dogs, singers, trips to a dementia cafe and even little chicks at Easter. She involves everyone which is so lovely to see. There is also a social media page which is designed around the residents which is lovely to see. As with all care homes, we have lost a couple of Mum's things even though they have been named. This is understandable to a point! I would not hesitate to recommend this home if you are looking for somewhere for your loved one. The love and energy that all members of staff show is absolutely exceptional.
Excellent care was received by my mother for her four-week stay. I found the carers built a very professional and friendly relationship with residents, and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent food, facilities and activities.
The staff at the home were very empathetic and treated my mum with dignity during her time there. They went above and beyond to ensure we had emotional support through a very difficult time. They were very understanding of our needs and made sure we got all the best possible support.
Very impressed with Meadows Park. The home is luxurious and modern. It is like walking into a hotel when entering reception. It is clean, well run and the staff are kind and caring. The bedrooms are kept very clean and tidy. Always made to feel welcome when visiting and the staff are happy to answer any questions. Other residents appear to be happy. Would highly recommend Meadows Park to others.
My mother-in-law has been a lot happier since moving to Meadows Park. The staff and the care they provide have been amazing, they have made my mother-in-law feel so welcome and at home there. They always put on great activities and keep the residents entertained. There’s always something for them to do which is exactly what an elderly person with dementia needs. I would highly recommend Meadows Park, the staff there have gone out of their way to help and support us making sure my mother-in-law gets the right care.
Absolutely amazing care home. My grandma has been in here and thoroughly loves it. My grandma says the people are really lovely they can’t do enough to help her and that she appreciates everything they have done for you. The food is delicious. Lovely, family-orientated, caring home. The building is outstanding and spotlessly clean. Deserves a 10 definitely.
My mum had four weeks' respite in Meadows Park Care Home following a hospital admission, before going home. I visited her and spoke to staff several times on the phone - they were always so helpful and signposted me to other services. I was blown away by the home itself - it doesn't have an institutionalised look or feel at all, it's more of a hotel! It's beautifully decorated and appointed. Mum's room had everything she could need - an ensuite wet room, large wardrobes, plenty of cupboard/shelf space, a lovely, large smart TV, lockable units and a small fridge. The only reason I've not given it five stars is that mum said the food could be variable but what I saw (and tasted!) was good. There are lots of activities which change every week, cinema nights, fun stuff, quiet activities... and Louth is lovely, for walks, coffee shops or just grabbing some fresh air.
My dad has been in Meadows Care Home for approximately five months. His well-being has 100 per cent improved, and his health and well-being have greatly improved. He is always well-presented, clean and always enjoys his meals.
All I can say is thank you so much. Six weeks ago as a family, we made one of the hardest decisions we have had to make. As a family unit, we were fast approaching crisis point caring for my 95 year old grandad. Carers and daily family contact in his home were not enough. His wishes had been to stay at home until the end. Meadows Park Care Home and the lovely staff have made what we were expecting to be a very emotionally traumatic experience for our family and grandad very easy. Giving us the confidence to know he is cared for to a high standard in beautiful surroundings. Nothing has been too much trouble and they have not only made us feel very welcome they have given Grandad a more supportive home where he is free to be himself something he was very worried about. The activities and events are varied and inclusive to all, should Grandad wish to participate, but if not his room has everything he needs and more. He is always smartly presented, shaven and well fed. Thank you, you are all amazing.
This care home has helped my grandmother so much, especially the activities staff; they always get her involved in all the amazing things they have planned. They look after her properly with care and patience, which is definitely appreciated. She also always enjoys the puddings that are made by the home. She enjoys the big garden to look around and appreciates when gardening activities are on.
We looked at several homes before deciding on Meadows Park for a dear friend who had suffered a major stroke. Meadows Park offered a lovely homely atmosphere on first inspection and hasn’t disappointed. The care has been excellent with sensitive caring carers. The accommodation is purpose-built which makes it comfortable and modern. There are always activities going on to keep residents entertained. It is also easy to get through to speak to someone on the phone which often isn’t easy at some care homes.
The staff have supported my father daily since admission, they provide activities and outings/trips which he enjoys. While at the home, he has been able to join in with other residents and really enjoys the company. His room is beautiful and he appears happy.
