View Full Details of Nightingale CourtOur dear Mum spent her last few months at Nightingale Court. We only wish she could have enjoyed it there for longer as it is a lovely place. The staff are not only incredibly professional in the care they give but are unfailingly kind. The home itself is spotlessly clean, warm and beautifully maintained. Family members are welcomed like friends. Meals are home-cooked and delicious. Residents enjoy a range of entertainment and activities and are treated with dignity and respect. We know our Mum was cared for by every member of staff as though she was their own Mum. If you are looking for a care home for your own loved one, you will not find a better care home than Nightingale Court.
My mother has recently passed away after 2 years at Nightingale Court. I really cannot express in words just how very compassionate and attentive they were during mum's final hours, which my wife and I were able to spend at her bedside. Mum was not terribly impressed when we first took her to the home and was angry that we had deceived her, but as time went on she settled in and soon regarded staff and residents as friends. Nightingale Court is so much more than just another care home; it provides a family not only for residents, but also for their friends and families who come to visit. I remain enormously grateful to them for taking such great care of mum. Bless you.
During my stay here I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Here is a good atmosphere because the staff work well together, with a good team spirit. Here is an enthusiastic activities officer who remembers everyone, including those who are room-bound.
Since being admitted for initially 2 weeks rest bite following a hospital stay, my mum has now become a permanent resident. My father and the rest of our family are very happy as mum has settled really well. We know she is happy, joins in with the activities, and enjoys the wonderful food. The whole team deliver exemplary care and fun and is genuinely kind and caring. They have also been welcoming to my father, who has missed Mom very much, having been married for 70 years this year. A big thank you to everyone. Five stars.
Nightingale Court is a wonderful home with friendly, professional staff. Mum has been here since April this year and as a family, we are all very appreciative of the care she is receiving. We can thoroughly recommend the home to anyone who is faced with the decision to place a relative into care.
You only know how good a place is once your loved one has moved in, and as a family, we are so happy with the whole experience - from the initial visit (which was delivered in a friendly, knowledgeable manner, and gave us reassurance and advice), to the moving in day, to the now day to day life Dad is living, we just couldn't be happier. He settled in so quickly, which is thanks to the amazing team at Nightingale. He is well cared for, always immaculately dressed, has excellent food, great activities which he does like to get involved with. Communication is excellent. The outdoor space is safe, and great for those residents who like to enjoy a potter around the garden. All of the carers are wonderful and treat all the residents in a dignified and a sense of fun too which personally I love as I can see how my Dad responds so positively towards them. As a family we also receive support from the team which I cannot stress how much this helps. The biggest thank you.
The care my father received was exceptional. Staff are very caring and it is a home from home. Although my father was only here for a short time before he passed away I am so pleased that he was cared for here. They do so much to ensure that the residents are included in activities and go over and above. I would highly recommend this care home I always knew my father was safe and looked after.
My sister was a resident at Nightingale Court for two years, very sadly she passed away in June 2024. I felt the need to write a review to thank all the management, staff and carers who looked after my lovely sister. For all the love and care she received from all the staff. I can't thank them enough for making her last two years at Nightingale Court a happy, safe and dignified place for her to live in. Thank you is not enough for all their love and support they gave to my sister, also for the love and support I received from them whilst visiting my sister. Nightingale Court deserves a 100% review and more. thank you everyone.
Peace of mind in the level of care she receives. The staff are very caring. The manager is excellent and the young lady on reception is always smiling and helpful. In general, care and home, you couldn't wish for better.
Mum moved into Nightingale Court last year. She's settled in very well. The staff are very friendly and made her feel very welcome. Her bedroom is first class and very cosy, and her breakfast, lunch and team time meals are just perfect for her needs.
I find Nightingale Court a lovely place for my mum. She is very happy and relaxed living here. The management and care staff put their selves out over and beyond to take care of Mum. We come and visit and get made at home aswell. Mum had to go to the hospital, and the management helped to get Mum out in her won't time.
Believe me care homes are not all the same. Nightingale Court is amazing. The care, love and respect for the residents is tangible. The inclusion of family and friends is so important to keep residents' spirits up and they are welcomed with open arms. Important dates are always recognised and shared with everyone. The quality and choice of food are equivalent and sometimes superior to any cruise I’ve been on, nothing is too much trouble. The staff bend over backwards to make good and happy memories for residents and families, it doesn’t always work out, it’s not easy but 100% of time and energy is put into trying to achieve lasting memories. It is so hard to stay positive when working with dementia but a smile and a hug are universal and can say more than a thousand words. Music, entertainment, school visiting, pat dog, church visits, Christmas parties, summer parties in the garden. I could go on. The best accolade I could give to Nightingale Court is 'Make sure there’s a bed for me if I need it'.
My friend has been a resident at Nightingale Court for just over a year now. Her experience here has been like a “ home from home “. Nightingale Court organises lots of activities for their residents. Experienced and helpful staff that go above and beyond for their service users. I would highly recommend Nightingale Court.
My mum was put into Nightingale in December 2023. So far she is doing really well and getting used to the lovely care that she is receiving. I find that her room is always immaculate and the meals are always fresh she has actually gained some weight which is good. The staff are always welcoming and very friendly, always to hand if we need them. As a family we feel that our lovely mum is getting the very best care.
My wife’s auntie is a resident at the home. My wife visits every weekend with either her mother, me (her husband), or one of our children. Every time we visit you feel a real sense of family and care. The home is always immaculate and smells nice. The food smells and looks lovely. My wife has no worries that this home is the best place for her auntie to live in and be cared for.
From the moment we visited the care home for a tour for my mother we were welcomed by the receptionist and manager with enthusiasm and kindness. They asked the right questions. Understanding our needs one hundred per cent. The empathy was so upfront. The home and that is what it is, a real home. It is so clean well laid out and purpose built. The food is unbelievable and the staff in every area are warm and friendly. The security is also second to none. My mother has a wonderful room and is extremely well looked after. My husband and I have finally been able to relax. Enjoy one another's company and know with confidence my mother is looked after. We are so extremely grateful. Thank you.
Since being in the home my father-in-law's care has been nothing but amazing. Previous home he just wanted to escape. He has never mentioned any intention to here. He is happy and made to feel like an individual. His needs have been well met and feel he is really cared for. The food is great and freshly prepared and the home have allowed him to have a bird feeder and fridge in his room for his own drinks. He takes part in entertainment and enjoys being spoilt. The staff and management work really hard and are always pleased to see us and keep us well informed of any issues. We are welcome to have drinks and food anytime we are there and the home regularly has special events in the garden and invites residents to them.
My mum came to Nightingale Court at the beginning of this year and I can't fault her care. The staff are all so friendly and caring and they do so much to keep everyone entertained during the day. The chefs are brilliant and serve up such lovely food. Even though my mum struggles to understand that she can't go home it is very comforting to know that she is so well looked after. She couldn't be in a better place so thank you to all of the staff and management.
I always come away thinking how lucky my friend is to be in this particular care home. My experience as a visitor is always good too, from the lovely welcome at reception when I arrive to when I leave and am asked by staff for feedback as to how I found my friend to be today. When you walk in everywhere looks bright and cheerful and cared for and smells nice. Staff smile and have a cheerful word to say to visitors and residents alike. Nice atmosphere in the lounge, with staff always around to notice when something needs doing. Lots of useful information on display. Staff are caring and patient and it is clear to me that the dignity of residents is kept a priority.
The manager for as long as she has been at Nightingale Court has been a caring and compassionate person who, that as a family member of a resident, would hope would be in charge of our loved one’s care. She is, in my opinion, the gold standard and a lot of people would do well to learn from this beautiful human.
