View Full Details of Mantles CourtOur mother has been at Mantles Court for 14 months now, and we, as a family, are extremely happy with the facilities and care that our mother is receiving. Our mother seems to be very happy and says how kind the staff are to her. We have noticed a marked improvement in her demeanour. We could not have wished for a better care home placement for our mother, and we are so glad we came across Mantles Court.
The staff are friendly and caring. They always help the resident, nothing seems too much trouble.
Friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Mum says good is not great. Would be good to have reception manned more as often have to wait to be let in. Could relatives be given the code?
Overall its a great experience. It could be enhanced with a car/people carrier for trips out. My only complaint is if you advertise dementia care and expertise you need have the resources and people skills to deal with all aspects and not suggest people leave if financially/staffing doesn't allow to provide the service.
Since my uncle has been at Mantles Court, he has been well looked after and helped to settle in by very caring staff. It has also made a huge difference to us as a family as we can relax at home knowing he is safe and looked after and all our time with him now is quality time. Thank you.
My father is very happy at Mantles Court and has settled in well. The staff are very friendly and professional although they have been hindered by a shortage of staff, although this is now being corrected. The new management are doing an excellent job of improving the home although there are still issues with clothes going missing from the laundry and Dad not receiving hot gravy with his food. The new chef is very good.
Overall, Mantles Court offers a good level of care and support. While some staff could improve their approach to what can sometimes be sensitive matters, others such as claire, the senior carer, go above and beyond. This goes a long way in making residents feel like individuals rather than a box to be ticked, which is very important.
Over the last nine months, I've seen my cousin gradually need more help as she struggles with her health problems, and she is getting that care and support. Once the carers get used to her and her wats, they get to "open up more". I would like to see more care taken with her clothes, she was always nicely dressed, and her clothes were hung up and put away in the drawers, this is not always the way now.
I had a few issues before this month, but pleased to say things have improved in all areas. My husband is not missing meds, there are more activities and laundry has greatly improved. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. Since the warm weather has come it is nice to be able to use the lovely garden.
The carers and staff are very friendly. Grannie is very happy here. As a family, we hoped she would join in with more activities, and meet new people so we would like it if she was encouraged more. The interaction she has with the carers is greatly appreciated and she refers to them as 'my girls'.
Everyone is always so welcoming and the care is absolutely fantastic! Mum loves it here!
We are very pleased to see there are now activities in the afternoon as well as mornings. As before, all the staff are very pleasant, caring and helpful. It has been much appreciated with the extra effort made to get Mum up each day, this does help her mobility.
My dad is very happy at Mantles Court and has been since he came 18 months ago. I cannot fault attentiveness of the staff. All his needs are covered. The office staff are lovely too, I am always greeted with a smile.
The home is a lovely place to live. Her room is excellent with a lovely view of the garden. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are some issues with her food because of her Diverticulosis but it has got better.
Excellent care. I expect my care to be perfect, and it was. It has taken me six months to recover, I still have carers but I am back on my feet again. I am fit as I was at 21 years old. I have completely forgotten about all the bad things in my life and the thing that matters is now. Like anyone I cannot predict the future but Like Dr Martin Luther King I have a dream.
My dad came to Mantles Court in March 2024 and I can genuinely say - hand on heart - that he has blossomed in the 2 months he has been here. Dad has moderate dementia and prior to coming to Mantles Court had found this very difficult to adjust to. He had been distressed and agitated, and was generally very unhappy. Since coming Mantles Court he is much happier, calmer and more contented: this is thanks to the wonderful care and support he receives from the staff; and from the whole environment of the care home, which is much more “normal” than many others which I visited prior to dad’s admission here. I cannot praise the staff highly enough for their kindness, good humour, compassion, and dedication to the residents under their care. Every single member of staff that I have met has gone above and beyond to take care of the residents and make their daily lives pleasant, comfortable, and replete with meaning. It feels like a real community here. If I ever need to go to a care home, I hope it’s Mantles Court!
My father was a resident at Mantles Court for eighteen months. He thought of Mantles as his home and was very happy there. Very sadly my father has recently passed away at Mantles Court, where he was treated with care, compassion and kindness until the very end. As a family, we were always made very welcome at any time by friendly and cheerful staff. Dad's home was always clean, his meals always appetising and tasty. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for always caring for our Dad.
As soon as you walk into Mantles Court you're greeted with a warm smile. Light and fresh interiors are easy on the eye. Signage is helpful too. Rooms are modern but not clinical. Design is there to enable all residents to be as independent as possible. My dad is very happy here and has made some friends already. Staff keep us informed of his progress and any concerns without delay. Knowing he's in good hands helps us sleep at night.
Two-week trial period of respite for my mother. Mantles Court was a great choice as it is so clean and new and all the staff have been helpful and supportive. My mother was frightened to come but now feels really settled and feels safe, secure and supported. As a family, we are very pleased with everything.
An absolutely first-class home, more like a luxury hotel. Always spotless and fresh. Food is of an amazing standard, with great variety and plenty of choices. Staff are amazing too, from admin and reception through to the carers, chef and housekeeping. The rooms are beautiful and spacious. Little touches like a cafe with a coffee machine, hairdressing salon and nail bar and a full programme of events. All residents are treated with respect and affection. First class in every way.
