View Full Details of Charrington Manor Care HomeOur mother enjoyed a wonderful and happy time at Charrington Manor and she really viewed it as her home. She was full of praise for the exceptional staff and found the environment and entertainment so enriching, she never had a dull day! As a family, we were confident that all her care needs were more than adequately met and Charrington became an important part of our extended family.
Charrington Manor was the best thing to happen to my Mum in her last years. From the moment I had the initial viewing, I just knew it was the perfect home. The staff are incredible - so kind and respectful and treated my Mum with such dignity. The entertainment was 5 stars - I so enjoyed everything I saw from singing and dancing to Kevin the Pony and the animal visits! The communication about Mum's health was always excellent. Simply put, Charrington Manor far exceeded our expectations and my Mum was incredibly happy there.
I cannot fault the care provided at Charrington Manor Care Home, in our experience, all the staff are responsive, caring and professional. My mother recently died having spent the last two and a half years living in residential care at Charrington Manor. As her faculties deteriorated and she became less mobile and her eyesight deteriorated, the carers adapted her care plan and ensured that she was well cared for, safe and allowed to live with the dignity that preceded her faltering health and wellbeing. In her last few days, the staff not only looked after Mum but also ensured the family was supported too. Several of the carers were very special to Mum and over the years she formed good relationships with several in particular, that made her life at Charrington Manor a happy and fulfilled time.
My father was the first resident to live at Charrington Manor, where he stayed until he died recently at the age of 101. Dad lived there for nearly three years and our family can only praise the care and attention that he received. From the day we first visited, when the building was not even complete, we knew that Charrington Manor would be perfect, and we were not disappointed. The dedicated team who knew my father so well meant that they could tailor their support to meet his needs, always with a smile. This has been so important to us, knowing Dad was in such good hands. The range of entertainment on offer is varied and excellent, Dad really enjoyed joining in the singing. Not only that, but his interests were carefully considered, even having a go at indoor golf. Whenever we visited there was a lovely welcome from all of the team who knew Dad really well, which we valued. The very strong leadership, with high expectations and dedicated staff; CM will continue to thrive.
Mum has vascular dementia and significant mobility challenges after recovering from her recent fall and we unexpectedly had to find a place for her in a care home setting at relatively short notice on discharge from hospital. Charrington Manor is beautiful with an immaculately clean, luxury finish and doesn't look or feel like a stereotypical care home. The manager is charming and very attentive and professional. She responded quickly to my various queries. All the care staff we met were warm and friendly and seemed gentle and respectful in their interactions with residents. The residents were up and dressed in the households we visited and seemed to be enjoying communal life. They were chatting and full of smiles. Of the numerous care homes I visited locally Charrington Manor is, in my opinion, definitely the best.
The care and kindness my Mum and Dad have received at Charrington has been exemplary. All the staff are so respectful and needs are met swiftly and considerately. Any medical concerns are dealt with promptly and the family are kept fully informed of any changes. The activities are so varied and all are encouraged to join in and it's such a happy environment. Real peace of mind that their care is paramount.
My mother was a resident for 3 years, and was looked after with great care and respect. She died in the home and her end of life care was outstanding, many of the carers became her friend and laughed with her and made her happy. The leadership team and all the staff were fantastic, I could not fault anyone.
The team at Charrington Manor Care Home exceeded our expectations in all areas. The team are respectful, professional, kind, caring and everyone is treated like family. They integrate the residents which was not offered in a lot of homes. The activities are of a high standard and I love that photos are uploaded every evening, so you can see what your loved one have been doing. I can not speak more highly of the whole team.
Mum, who has dementia, has been a resident at Charrington Manor Care Home since March 2023. She has always received an exceptional level of care and support. All members of staff are thoughtful, kind and responsive, and work tirelessly to make Charrington Manor a friendly, happy and welcoming community. Mum is always encouraged to join in the daily activities, entertainment and trips. The activities coordinator is excellent and organises a birthday celebration for every resident. The staff are always available to talk to and they communicate regularly with the family. Charrington Manor provides a safe and caring environment where mum is kept active and can enjoy life.
As Power of Attorney of a resident of Charrington Manor Care Home for over two and a half years, I can honestly say the care has been excellent. Her needs have always been met and my expectations exceeded. The facilities are excellent, rooms and social areas always clean, activities varied and the food is very much to her liking! I have found the staff to be friendly and approachable, from those on reception, to the care team, facilities manager, nursing staff and management. I would highly recommend Charrington Manor to anyone looking for a caring, safe and pleasant care home for their loved one.
Charrington Manor Care Home is exceptional in every way. From the initial show round to now, the staff have been amazing. So friendly, welcoming and helpful, my aunt settled in almost immediately. She has been a resident for almost 2 years now and we couldn't be happier with our choice. It has a lovely homely feel and nothing is too much trouble. My aunt enjoys the varied daily activities and trips out. Her appetite is much better now with tasty food and snacks. The gardens are beautifully kept and offer relaxation outside where possible. We are very grateful to the team that we can relax knowing that our family member is so well looked after.
Very knowledgeable staff, quick to respond, always willing to problem solve. Have really help my mother settle in with full attention to her needs, always inviting her to participate in the events. Particularly good relationship with medical team, optician and dentist.
The care that all staff have shown towards my father is exceptional. He recently had an overnight stay in hospital and on his return the manager, assistant manager and several staff all came out to welcome him back and they had laid on tea and cakes. It felt like they really cared that one of their community had been ill. Lovely, caring family of staff.
We have been so lucky to have found Charrington Manor for my father in law. He has had such amazing care from all the staff since he arrived in April 2023. He is always greeted by name by all staff and treated with absolute respect and dignity. The opportunities offered for entertainment and trips out are superb and so inclusive. The care he received after a recent medical emergency was fantastic, reflecting how much they really do care about every resident. I cannot recommend Charrington Manor highly enough. I feel so blessed that my father in law is cared for by an amazing team. Thank you.
I was very fortunate to come across Charrington Manor several weeks a go having had to source somewhere for my stepfather, who needs full time nursing care very quickly. I was blown away with the whole experience from the initial tour to the actual process of getting him moved in. The attention to detail and compassionate approach is beyond refreshing and so helpful with such a stressful time. I was so impressed, I moved my mother in yesterday, a week later and she is thrilled with her new home. Thank you to every single member of staff at Charrington Manor, you deserve every recognition going.
After my father passed away last year, my mother fell into poor health suffering with a number of difficulties, that suggested she might never be able to fully look after herself again. The family had visited Charrington Manor previously and we recognised the home had great potential should we need their services in future. However the difference between potential and what the home has provided and delivered has far outweighed all expectations. Not only is the home aesthetically a beautiful building, with luxury appeal consistent with 5 star hotel, the ambience of the the home is so very positive - a happy place for residents and staff filled with laughter and smiles with people living their lives to the full and definitely not living out their lives. Staff are passionate, professional and dedicated in everything they do, providing level of care that I was totally not expecting, which means so much to our family, where we just want our mum to be happy and safe.
Both my parents became residents at Charrington Manor Care Home in January 2023 after my mother had a severe stroke and my father was suffering from mild dementia. The care standards have been exceptional. The care home is extremely well led with consistency of staff teams (no agency use), which are motivated, compassionate with the residents and provide timely and proactive feedback to family members. My brother and I felt that we had chosen a very safe environment that offered a diverse choice of activities which encouraged residents to remain active, physically and mentally. Whenever we have had any queries, the team has been very responsive and caring. When my mother sadly passed away in July 2024, the entire staff team showed amazing support to my father and compassion to the rest of our family. They have proved a vital life line for my father and gently encouraged him to become more widely involved in other activities. This has been truly stimulating for him and greatly valued.
Charrington Manor has looked after both of my parents and given them an outstanding level of care. They had very different needs with my mother being severely disabled and my father active and alert but losing his memory. Charrington Manor tailored their experience to allow them both to get the most out of their lives. The quality of the facilities are outstanding, only surpassed by the empathy, care and kindness of all members of staff.
My father has lived at Charrington Manor since July 2023. Both he and I consider ourselves very fortunate to have found Charrington. The whole team are focused on making it a lovely place to live and to visit. I would particularly highlight the team's responsiveness to any requests and their attention to detail, be that in relation to clinical or day to day needs. It is so reassuring to know that dad is being looked after so well.
Mum moved into Charrington Manor in August following a spell in hospital. The care she has received since then has been second to none. Nothing is too much trouble. But more than that, it is clear that the staff genuinely care about the residents and are motivated to go the extra mile. The medical care has been brilliant, and the staff are always prepared to spend time in letting me know how mum is getting on. The homemakers are equally brilliant and my mum can't speak highly enough of them. The facilities are fantastic and there are so many different activities for mum to participate in.
