View Full Details of Eden Manor Care HomeMy aunt spent her last two years of her life at Eden Manor. The home is lovely and she was well looked after during that time. Sadly she passed away recently. We were fortunate to be with her during her last few days and I have to say that the home and their staff were exceptional in what was a difficult time. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a care home.
Disappointed at the inactivity on the village dementia care unit. My Dad was in for 3 months. From my knowledge he had two small walks, no visits in the mini bus. Many falls, last 8 visits he was alone in his bedroom. Just because he had some verbal challenges it doesn't mean you don't interact in many other ways or try things later in the day. On some occasions seeing Dementia residents seeing Paddington 1 in a morning and Paddington 2 in an afternoon with some staff on mobile phones. I expressed concerns several times told by the manager the Dementia unit was short staffed with my sister. We have no doubt residents without dementia get really good care and activities but the last 3 months of my Dad's life we are very disappointed with Eden Manor Dementia unit.
On arrival the staff very welcoming. The room very pleasant. Most of the care staff were excellent however the younger members may require more training. Also, first morning my mother didn't receive a cup of tea until she was told that she must request this as they wouldn't know if they were not told. However, after that, this was not a problem and got it on the requested time. The mattress was very uncomfortable. Entertainment excellent although nothing at the weekends. Also very short staffed at weekends. Need more options with food.
I visit my sister who has Alzheimer's about twice a week, she is always clean and well-dressed and I like how she is included in activities. I am happy with her care at Eden Manor. The staff are pleasant and helpful.
My mum had a 3 week respite stay at Eden Manor which I had chosen for her due to its smart and attractively furnished environment and the good reviews I had read. It did not disappoint. My mum can be very hard to please but she reported that she loved her room and its outlook onto the patio, the staff were very friendly and helpful (she said they attended to her every need), she enjoyed the meals and she loved joining in the activities that were laid on by the activity co-ordinator. These included singing sessions, quizzes, a bonfire night celebration with fireworks and putting up the Christmas decorations. She also visited the hair salon and had a trip out with me with her freshly coiffed hairdo. The placement was great value on a 3 weeks for the price of two offer. I would highly recommend Eden Manor to anybody looking for safe, friendly and professional care for themselves or a family member.
Had to move my auntie in May 2024 due to her progressive dementia, her previous home was unable to meet her needs. After looking around different homes we moved her to Eden Manor. The management were wonderful and ensured that the move was as stress-free as possible. She soon settled in and her ongoing care has been excellent. She is much happier always looks clean and tidy and is included in any appropriate activities. She is treated with dignity and staff members take time to engage with her. It is always a pleasure to visit as everyone is friendly and someone is always available to answer any questions that I may have.
At 96, my mother is a lady who is independent, values her privacy and enjoys her own space. The last place she wanted to be was in a care home. In March 2024 she moved into Eden Manor. To my surprise and delight over the past four months she has embraced the experience at the home, joining in with the activities and preferring to take all her meals in the dining room in the company of the other residents. This is due to the professional, kind, friendly staff. Everyone made her feel welcome and part of 'the family' from day one. The team work hard to ensure the safety, care and welfare of the residents and the communication is excellent. In summary, a couple of weeks ago I asked my mother how she was feeling about the home - she smiled and told me she was very happy. Just one thing she said, I would like more vegetables!
Visiting this care home regularly and at different times of the day I have never found it lacking in the care and services provided. From the moment you enter the building, the reception staff are always friendly and welcoming and the cleanliness of the building is first class. I cannot rate this home too highly. Excellent.
Very secure, very welcoming, very clean and well kept. All the staff that I have met have been very nice and Mum has confirmed that everyone is very nice and happy to help her with anything she needs or wants, all she has to do is ask. The other residents I have spoken to have also said how they enjoy staying there.
Lovely visit to Eden Manor today. We were met with smiles and a warm welcome. The home appeared well-staffed and they were able to defuse tricky situations with Dementia residents with caring approaches. The activities manager lights up the main hub of the home. He organised refreshments and entertainment for all participants in an engaging and supportive manner. He always makes visits much easier to cope with because of how Dementia has affected my mother. I am extremely grateful and thankful when I arrive and he is working.
Eden Manor Care Home presents a warm welcome. Visitors and residents are treated with respect and dignity by the staff who are always ready to answer questions and offer support and they are invariably pleasant. Residents rooms are comfortable, practical and safe. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and residents are tidily presented. A great deal of thought goes into the activities arranged and the food appears varied and nutritious. The outside garden space provides a safe and relaxing area for waling and sitting.
Excellent home, mum was only there for three weeks as she had another stroke but Eden Manor was excellent. Across the board could not fault anything. Like a 5 star Hotel. All staff from maintenance man to management were very professional.
Fantastic care home has wonderful staff from the moment you step inside it feels lovely warm and friendly. Always something going on for the residents' great entertainment from feeling more like a luxurious cruise ship or a 5-star hotel. Could not have asked for better!
My mother-in-law has completed 2 weeks of respite care. As a newly built care home, Eden Manor is a superb example of both design and function with bright and spacious residential lounges, a bar/cafe area and large, comfortable rooms. It is more like a five-star hotel. The staff appear to be totally committed to their work and their residents. High-quality entertainment is provided daily and there is always something going on. 10 out of 10.
I visit this care home regularly to take out one of the residents who is a close friend's mum. Always greeted warmly by the staff, especially one staff member whom the residents adore. The activities available to the residents keep them entertained and everyone always seems so happy.
It's an awful day when you realise you have to put your mum in a care home because she just can't manage on her own at home. We thank our lucky stars that we found beautiful Eden Manor. The care she received from all the staff was just wonderful and allayed any worries we had. I want to thank you all so much for looking after our mum for the last six months of her life in such a caring and compassionate way.
I visited a number of prospective care homes for my mother, and Eden Manor was streets ahead of the rest. The welcome and atmosphere are always lovely, and the facilities are excellent; it's more like a hotel than a care home. All the staff are always friendly and attentive, and nothing is ever too much trouble. I can't recommend it enough.
My 97-year-old aunt went to Eden Manor and I visited her in April as I live in Florida. One staff member gave us a full tour of the facility and the place is just wonderful. Very clean. All the staff we encountered on the tour stopped to say hello. You can tell this is not just a job they care about the residents. My aunt says the food is lovely and she feels well looked after. I want to know when I can move in.
Lovely care home excellent facilities and very caring staff. It is a great comfort knowing that mum is being cared for so well. She is settled and happy which gives great peace of mind.
When we first viewed Eden Manor there was no question that this was the perfect place for our Mum. Mum is so well cared for and treated with the utmost respect. The amazing staff throughout Eden Manor have really helped with this difficult transition period. Eden Manor provides a beautiful, safe environment with incredible attention to detail, restaurant-standard dining as well as exceptional facilities and entertainment. Nothing is too much trouble and there is always someone available to talk to for both residents and their families at any time of the day. Thank you to everyone at Eden Manor.
