View Full Details of Edwalton Manor Care HomeWhat a lovely care/nursing home. Mum and dad are staying in a suite allowing them to be together. A friend had had respite there following surgery and had told us how lovely it was. My parents are staying in the care part of the home as they don't require nursing. All the staff (homemakers) are very welcoming and can't do enough for you. The care my parents have received is exemplary. It truly is a luxury care home.
My now-deceased, husband chose this care home for his palliative care as his brother had also been in Edwalton Manor and received excellent palliative care. The care and attention given by the staff is second to none. Family and friends were welcomed and nothing was too much trouble for every member of staff. All diets were catered for and the facilities within the care home eg lounges, cinema, dining room, cafe and hairdressers were numerous. Regular events and outings were held for residents plus the care home's proximity to shops, a garden centre and main roads make it ideal for visitors.
Finding a care home for a good friend was a daunting task - until we visited Edwalton Manor. What a beautiful environment. The accommodation is excellent and the whole team are dedicated and professional. When he came to live here he was made very comfortable and he was both calm and contented. He made a lot of friends amongst the residents and staff who showed him love and affection in his closing years. My wife and I are grateful for the care and kindness that he was shown in this luxury setting. We recommend a visit if you are ever in need of care.
Due to dementia and a need for full nursing care, my mother-in-law moved into Edwalton Manor Care Home on the nursing floor and we cannot say enough about the exceptional level of care, courtesy and kindness shown to her and her visitors. This allowed her to feel welcomed, cherished and cared for at a time of uncertainty. We chose Edwalton Manor as we had already experienced the same level of care to another family member suffering with terminal cancer and many of the old faces were still on the staffing team and we cannot rate then highly enough. From the initial conversations to moving in and subsequent care, the entire team were exemplary. Thank you.
From the moment my mother went into the home she felt very much at ease thanks to the very friendly but professional staff. They have created a family atmosphere whilst maintaining the right amount of independence and privacy for all their 'guests'. My 98-year-old mother had lived on her own for the 40 years since my father died and moving into the care home was a big step. Both my mother and I were aware that this was a huge change in her life but I am delighted to say that we have absolutely no reservations about Edwalton Manor. The rooms, the facilities, the food and the activities are all first class but what makes the care home a real home is the wonderful staff who really care and are so approachable. My thanks to all the staff who have helped to take away the stress of moving my mother into the home.
My mum came to stay at Edwalton Manor for convalescent care following an operation. The homemakers (staff) were so kind and helpful, they couldn't do enough for Mum during her stay. When looking for respite care in the future we will certainly be calling Edwalton Manor.
Thank you for the excellent care provided by Edwalton Manor - the homemakers, clinical staff and entertainment organised. The staff acted promptly and efficiently recently facilitating a hospital admission. The ongoing communication between the hospital care home and staff and myself was much appreciated right through to discharge. Thanks to all the hard-working staff - your commitment and dedication exceed our expectations. Well done and thank you all!
My mother has now been at Edwalton Manor for just over 4 weeks and has taken to it like a duck to water. She has already started to make new friends, loves getting involved with the exercise classes and seems to have discovered a newfound interest in carpet bowls. The team are fantastic whenever I call to check up on how mum is doing. Thank you!
We first came across Edwalton Manor when we attended a Christmas event with our daughter, organised for local children. Witnessing the kindness and enthusiasm the team showed the children, we knew instantly that Edwalton Manor was the right setting for my Grandmother. She has now been a resident for six weeks or so, and it's been a wonderful experience for her. The home is always vibrant and full of activity. The numerous communal areas make visiting an absolute pleasure, and the fact that children are so welcomed along with our four-legged friend is just the cherry on top! A big thank you the manager and her fantastic team!
My mother joined Edwalton Manor originally as a short-term option after having several falls at home. Thanks to the care shown by the amazing team she has settled in so well that she now resides there permanently. It’s always a pleasure to visit her knowing she is being so well looked after in such an outstanding facility. We particularly love the family dining room which allows us to continue having Friday night fish and chips together as a family (albeit sometimes on different nights depending on availability). Thank you!
My mother has resided at Edwalton Manor since November after moving from another care home. The difference in the facility and care level has been incomprehensible. The staff are all so friendly and eager to please and nothing is ever too much hassle. Mum has loved going on the outbound trips including to the theatre to watch the ballet. Thank you for everything you do!
My mother (aged 93) has been a resident at the home since last December. The home has a lovely ambience, is beautifully furnished and has a good range of activities. My mother tells me the food is very good and she cannot speak highly enough of the care and kindness with which she has been treated by all the staff.
I cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional care my grandmother received during her 4 week stay at Edwalton Manor in December 2023. Although she is not quite ready for full-time care, when that time comes, Edwalton Manor will undoubtedly be our only choice. From the beginning to the end of her stay, the entire team at Edwalton Manor exceeded our expectations. The care provided was not just professional but also filled with warmth and compassion. My grandmother emerged from her stay having made numerous new friends among both the staff and fellow residents. We now make weekly visits, allowing her to maintain the relationships she formed during her stay. Thank you for everything!
Very pleasant staff. When I arrived, my room was clean and very welcoming. Very, very nice atmosphere. The food is very good, and when you are a little older, (90 years young), that is what we look forward to. Touch wood, I feel very happy and content in my lovely new home.
The staff were cheerful, friendly and well-treated. Most times, the buzzer was answered in good time. On respite care, I was allowed to be independent as long as I was safe. Medication understood and was supervised. Good social care, always something to do and someone to talk to if needed. The food is not always the food I would choose, but several choices (never hungry). Drinks are always available. Staff professional at all times. Washing clothes, I did not use the services. I have recommended it. I have stayed in other care homes, this is the best.
Wanted to send a big thank you to the team at the home. The staff are a cohesive team and this is reflected in the professional and friendly service that they all provide. My mum has been at the home for three weeks now and she feels safe, very happy and well-supported. It’s a very nice physical environment, with good food and engaging activities but as always it’s ultimately the friendly commitment of all staff members, led by a strong leadership team that makes the difference. Thanks so much!
My aunt and uncle stayed at Edwalton Manor for 2 weeks of respite. The staff were very welcoming, professional, kind and attentive. The facilities are brand new, very well designed and comfortable. Their whole experience was excellent. Thank you.
A warm, clean, homely environment. The staff seem like they actually want to be there, and there is a great energy to the place. Most importantly, my nan feels safe and happy. Thank you to the manager and his team. We are so thrilled to see her so happy.
This beautiful care home has been an absolute blessing, not only for our amazing mum but for us as a family too. The home is outstanding, and the level of care is second to none. After all the places our mum had to go to, this one is by far the best and next level of standard. We can't thank Edwalton Manor enough for looking after our mum in pure luxury.
My mother stayed at Edwalton Manor in September for a respite period whilst the family went on vacation. She has come home having enjoyed her experience and looks forward to returning early next year. The staff at Edwalton Manor were exceptional, taking the time to genuinely understand my mother's needs and desires. They went the extra mile to ensure she stayed connected with our family whilst we were away, providing us with the peace of mind that she was well cared for.
