View Full Details of Lakeview GrangeWe couldn't be more pleased with the care and attention Mum has received since she has been at Lakeview Grange. She wasn't sure about moving to a care home, even temporarily, but having had such a positive experience she made the decision to stay. It is a huge relief to us, her family, as we know she is exceptionally well cared for. The staff are amazing in every aspect. They have encouraged her to join in a variety of activities, all of which she has enjoyed. She is doing really well and even looks younger! The staff already know her well and are always on hand. She feels respected and listened to. We and any visitors she has, are always made to feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Lakeview Grange has a lovely atmosphere and is beautifully appointed. Mum's room is spacious and she has been encouraged to bring in her own pictures, special chair and ornaments. We can't thank the team at Lakeview Grange enough for everything. They are all amazing.
My mother has been a permanent resident at Lakeview Grange since January 2025, following several respite care stays in 2024. The quality of the accommodation is exceptional - hence the awards - and she is treated with warmth, love and affection by every member of the team. But it's after this weekend's Mother's Day tea that I felt compelled to leave this review - a wonderful event, bringing together residents and their families over a high tea that allowed us all to chat, reminisce and meet each other. Fantastic. And the following day, to celebrate a birthday, I brought a bottle of fizz and sat with my mum and her friends for drinks in the lounge looking over the garden, in a place that feels like a proper home. As they said to me, this is how care should be - an opportunity to live your later years in comfort with new friends and new things to look forward to. Well done, Lakeview!
Mum went into Lakeview for a four week respite period and she was very anxious about her stay. However, the whole team at Lakeview have been absolutely outstanding - we cannot thank them enough. They have given Mum the best of care, nurtured her to join in activities, listened to her concerns and made her feel welcome right from the original meeting. She literally became one of the family and everyone made an effort to get to know her. Mum, unfortunately had a flare up with her skin condition but again the team were amazing, going above and beyond to get it under control. The team at Lakeview have also made me feel welcome and I really have felt like I have been visiting Mum at place where everyone is valued and important. As Mums care needs have begun to increase we know we are looking at moving her into a care home environment very soon and we will not be looking anywhere else! The staff and facilities are truly fantastic. Thank you.
My Nana moved into Lakeview Grange recently and I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness, support and encouragement they have given her as well as the family since moving in. I knew it was the right place the first time we visited. The friendliness and care given to everyone I could see that residents were happy, valued and safe. Nana's care has been exemplary, as individual as she is. Nothing is too much trouble. There are many lovely activities in and outside the home she has started to enjoy and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lakeview Grange when looking for a care home
Lakeview Grange is everything you could possibly ask for from a care home. Clean, comfortable, welcoming, fantastic food, varied and personalised activity program. My sister has been living here for a few months now and I cannot remember the last time I saw her looking so happy and healthy. Thank you Lakeview Grange!
Our mother had been in hospital for about a month due to a COPD flare up and needed somewhere to stay to get some strength back. This was our first experience with a care home so we did not really know what to expect but after being in hospital for a month we wanted our mother to spend the next four weeks somewhere that was comfortable and a bit more like home. The team at Lakeview were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, they were all very patient and kind and did everything they could to make sure my mother benefitted the most from her stay. I would mention the staff by name but I am too worried I would miss someone out but they were all brilliant. We really did feel like we were all part of the family and although my mother was only there for a few weeks she bonded well with the staff. She was pleased to be home, but I am sure she misses seeing them. I would highly recommend Lakeview, fantastic care and a beautiful venue & facilities.
I didn't know care homes as wonderful as Lakeview Grange existed. From the building to the rooms to the food and activities but most of all the amazing staff it is absolutely top class. Not a negative to be found. I would recommend to anyone looking for a safe and caring and welcoming home for their loved one. I wouldn't move my dad anywhere else in a million years. It's heads and shoulders above anywhere else. I've worked in care for 30 years so I speak from a personal and professional stance.
After making the difficult decision to put Dad into 24-hour care we took time to visit care homes to try and find a suitable placement where he would be safe, happy and well-supported in his already advanced dementia journey. Many of the care homes I visited were well0run and could meet his needs but on reflection I just couldn't see myself leaving him there. Then we went to Lakeview Grange and I immediately felt the difference. The staff and environment were warm and genuine. The interactions between the carers and the residents were noticeably caring and friendly and the residents were calm and relaxed. Although my dad is not a naturally social person and being in a care home is a huge adjustment for him, the staff are taking a gentle approach of getting to know him and are very keen to involve the family to make the process easier and more manageable. It's early days for Dad at Lakeview but I have every confidence he is safe and working towards being happy there too! Thanks to all!
It was a very difficult decision to move our Mum into permanent care, but as her Dementia took hold we all recognised she needed 24 her care which we were unable to provide. From the outset, Lakeview Grange has treated Mum with dignity and respect. The Home is very welcoming - all staff go out of their way to chat and acknowledge us. Mum is extremely happy in her new environment (she has been at Lakeview for just over a year). she is regularly taken out and about. There are a variety of activities to join in with over the course of the week. Family suggestions are taken into consideration and help is always there if and when it is needed. Thank you Lakeview Grange!
My mother moved into Lakeview 6 months ago and I cannot fault the care and the kindness from all the staff. The cafe area where residents can invite relatives and friends and offer them refreshments maintains dignity and independence. All the rooms are beautiful and well-maintained, I would highly recommend Lakeview Grange.
Moving my partner who has a serious memory problem into a care home was not totally unexpected but was precipitated by a fall at home. Right from the start of my first investigative visit and then the subsequent need for a rapid admission -I cannot praise the team at Lakeview enough - they have been exemplary during this extremely difficult time of moving someone does not realise or accept there is a problem which I can no longer manage. Total professionalism and importantly assessing and being aware of my partner's personality and individual requirements ensuring that her day is well spent doing things that are appropriate and enjoyable to her. (In fact, a far better job than I have done or could do) The team's support for me has been unstinting and very welcome. The staff are always friendly and helpful creating a calm friendly atmosphere. The property, facilities and catering are excellent and live up to brochure and website descriptions.
I was able to visit Lakeview Grange in the summer of 2024 for my sister who was moving here from Surrey. My niece and I had an immediate good feeling here, It was on first impressions really ideal, spacious tastefully presented rooms, a feeling of warm welcome, as it has been as I found myself suddenly here with a foot injury following a fall in my flat. It is extremely well run with willing and friendly staff to fulfill every need and also while always busy nothing is too much trouble and it has a very pleasant quiet tranquility at all times.
Upon identifying Lakeview Grange based on convenient location for transferring our relative to be nearer to us for visiting on a more regular basis, we have been very impressed and made very welcome. The facilities available are excellent for all needs, food is cooked on the premises and always looks appetising. Weekly programme of activities is available with varied content to suit everyone. We have identified Lakeview as a happy peaceful environment enjoyed by residents, family and staff.
My husband has become a resident of Lakeview Grange. One of the staff was marvellous, all the staff are lovely. When you walk in you feel it's a warm, friendly and luxurious place.
Lakeview Grange is very much the best of the best in every respect. The staff are so caring and go out of their way to see you are comfortable and have all you need. The response to the call button is rapid and faultless. I was here for four weeks in 2023 and have no hesitation to spend 2 weeks here in 2024 as my husband is away and I refer to the place as a five-star holiday hotel. Thanks to all the staff for my care.
My wife and I were most impressed with our introductory tour of Lakeview Grange and that has been confirmed since we moved in for a few weeks. The quality of the furnish throughout the accommodation is repeated in all the facilities. This is also reflected in the excellent standard of the food and the active support of the staff.
I chose Lakeview Grange for my aunt after looking at several Care homes in the area. She had a fall and fractured her hip and was in hospital for a couple of months. I was advised that she could no longer live alone. From the first contact and visit, I was very impressed. I was also nervous about how she would settle in as she had been a very independent woman. I needn't have worried. She has been treated with respect and dignity from day 1. The staff are lovely and very attentive, the facilities are luxurious and the food is marvellous. Just as importantly she is very happy and content. There are plenty of entertainments and after a little encouragement,t she often attends. She was 100 this year and the staff kindly gave her a lovely afternoon tea with some bubbly and she felt like a queen for the day! I have recommended Lakeview Grange to a friend for her father and she is also very happy with his care.
I fully endorse all the praise that earlier reviewers have given to Lakeview and its staff. A big thank you to you all for the efforts you have made to create a happy, sociable environment for my sister and her new friends.
We attended a Wedding Anniversary celebration. The staff made a huge effort to make the home so welcoming with decorations and food for the happy couple. The whole home resembles a first-class hotel with every facility provided. Marvellous friendly staff throughout. A pleasure always to visit our friends who live very happily there. Thank you, Lakeview Grange.
My Mother was a resident of several (expensive) care homes (not local) and this one at Chichester is the best, where I have another relative. I have also viewed many more when selecting. Lakeview Grange is still the best. They have adapted well to our resident and even taken on an outing, which they enjoyed. The staff are all very helpful and have patience. - Did not agree with initial 'lockdown' for resident for his first month! Not enough parking and deliveries should be in a separate area.
