View Full Details of Cuttlebrook HallMy mum took unwell following a fall but the staff were kind and attentive over the following days, seeking further professional help as appropriate and keeping me fully informed. I live in Scotland, so the regular updates by one particular member of staff was greatly appreciated and reassuring.
Dad stayed at Cuttlebrook Hall for six weeks convalescence following a hospital stay. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. They went to a lot of effort to encourage dad to socialise. Dad had some ongoing medical issues and the staff were very good at ensuring that dad had the right medical support and regular visits from the GP. We live quite some distance away and it was very reassuring to know that dad was in such good hands. We particularly valued being able to speak to the senior staff whenever we wanted to.
My dad has been at Cuttlebrook Hall for four weeks and the staff have been amazing. Very welcoming and caring. They encourage my dad to socialise and he is settled now. The food is amazing and it is great that he is eating again and building his strength. Thank you to all.
I have just come home after a fortnight's convalescence at Cuttlebrook Hall following a period in hospital. My time at Cuttlebrook was just the transition between hospital and home that I needed. I was very well looked after. My room was excellent. The caring staff were top notch, professional and friendly. There was a very good atmosphere among staff and between staff and residents. The team leaders and senior staff were very good and everyone went out of their way to be helpful. Food was excellent and tasty.
The only criticism I have is with laundry - taken for washing, never to be seen again! Most male residents wear trousers not jeans but come back from laundry with no crease down centre of legs, but like jeans. This is not rocket science and is important to the elderly to look presentable. My husband has 8 pairs of underpants missing and pyjamas, shirts, pullovers - what happens to them?
My mother moved into Cuttlebrook Hall at the beginning of December 2024. She settled into her lovely room with en-suite bathroom and patio very quickly and the staff have been amazing in helping her smoothly navigate what is a huge transition. The staff have also been really supportive to our family during this change. My mother enjoys the variety of home cooked food provided, and various members of the family have enjoyed being able to have lunch with her, as well as popping in for a coffee or hot chocolate and a wonderful offering of cakes and biscuits. She particularly loves being visited by our golden retriever, who is always welcome too. Mum is really enjoying having company and a wide range of activities available. I was dreading the stage when my mother would need to move into a care home but she is happier than I have seen her for quite a while and I can relax in the knowledge that she is safe and happy with a wide range of stimulating activities to engage with.
The respite care the whole team at Cuttlebrook Hall have to my mother in law was excellent, friendly, inclusive and very caring. I would high recommend Cuttlebrook Hall for a home from home feel and care.
Accompanied family member before her 2-week stay for respite. Could not believe the quality of the surroundings and facilities. On collecting my mother in law, I was touched by the genuine bond that had been forged with the staff in such a short space of time.
Mum was very reluctant to go into a care home, but once we arrived with her for a 2 week respite, she was very happy with her surroundings. The staff were wonderful and caring which made her stay very happy for her.
As soon as you walk through the door at Cuttlebrook Hall, you can feel the warmth and care immediately. My father had a short illness recently and we decided he needed some respite care. From the moment he arrived, he was well taken care of with all his needs met, from medication to dietary needs. Once he was feeling better, we decided he couldn't live on his own anymore and he became a permanent resident at the home. He is thriving there and enjoys his days going to the cafe which offers a good selection of drinks and cakes which are made fresh at the home. Dad has always been social and he does like chatting to the residents in the cafe or when having his lunch/dinner in the dining rooms. The home also has a fantastic cinema room and Dad will often go and watch a film that is on offer. They also have a minibus to take residents out on trips, Dad particularly likes going to the market. All the staff are welcoming and warm and nothing is too much trouble.
So grateful to Cuttlebrook for bringing the best out of my grandad and caring for him. The whole family has felt happier knowing he is cared for and all his needs are met and more. He loves the home, more than he thought he would!
A great experience from start to finish. Respite care was received for two weeks. The onboarding process was thorough. The building and facilities are first-class. The staff are attentive and caring and all contributed towards, making it an enjoyable stay. I would not hesitate to use this home for long-term care in the future if required. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. Thanks to all staff involved, the carers, cooks cleaners, and management you did a good job.
Cuttlebrook Hall is a welcoming residential home, ideal for respite care. The staff are attentive and provide a range of engaging activities.
We recently visited my sister at Cuttlebrook Care Home, where she has been residing since her diagnosis of vascular dementia. I was pleasantly surprised by the positive changes I noticed in her well-being during my visit. It was evident that she was doing much better under the care of the home. One of the most notable improvements was in her eating habits. I was glad to see that she was eating better. The staff at Cuttlebrook Care Home seemed to be providing excellent support tailored to her needs, which was reassuring for me as a family member. The atmosphere at the care home was lovely, friendly, and warm. The staff members were not only professional but also kind and caring, creating a positive environment It was evident that they genuinely cared about the well-being of my sister. Overall, my experience at Cuttlebrook Care Home was extremely positive. I would highly recommend Cuttlebrook Care Home to anyone looking for a caring and supportive environment for their loved ones.
Cuttlebrook Hall looks as good as a five-star hotel. The staff that I did meet and speak to were all very nice. In my honest opinion, I am very disappointed with my husband's two-week respite stay there. He has Alzheimer's and can probably be a bit difficult at times but I feel he was not cared for as well as he should have been. Rightly or wrongly I assumed all the staff would be trained to deal with and look after people with Alzheimer's/dementia. When he was assessed prior to admission to Cuttlebrook Hall I did inform the assessor of problems he may have. I put name labels on his clothes but he came home in jogging bottoms that were not his. When he went into Cuttlebrook Hall he had two jogging bottoms and one pair of trousers which were not returned with his belongings and his wallet. One of his prescription medicines was not returned and had not been given to him during his stay! It was left to me to return to collect these items.
My husband stayed at Cuttlebrook Hall for 6 weeks of respite. He was extremely well looked after, the staff were lovely to him and his visitors. It is a wonderful clean and homely place to be with lots of activities going on. I would happily send him back there for respite again. I would highly recommend Cuttlebrook Hall.
I feel very safe here at Cuttlebrook.
Excellent facilities. Beautiful decor. Varied activities and entertainment laid on. I (daughter) recently joined an arts and crafts session along with mum. Staff are caring and always helpful, even checking from time to time how I (daughter) am feeling. When a particular passion of Mum's was discovered staff arranged an outing specifically tailored to her, which she really enjoyed. One observation is that laundry sometimes takes a while to be returned but this is a minor point. The only other concern is that the recruitment of care staff keeps pace with the increase in resident numbers.
The atmosphere at Cuttlebrook Hall is like walking into a hotel, so welcoming and friendly. All the staff are marvelous, they are kind, caring, and supportive and always go about their work with a smile. I had no concerns with leaving my husband in their capable hands for respite care. They made me so welcome on every visit. The rooms are fantastic, and modern and have amazing facilities. All my family were made very welcome too, and the grandchildren loved to visit and see the staff and residents. Thank you so much to the entire team.
Mum moved into the home in March and has settled in well, everyone on the team is fantastic and encourages her to socialise and take part in the many activities, they also make the families feel very welcome. The rooms are lovely and have access to the courtyard and are always kept clean. The coffee shop area is nice with lots of lovely treats. All in all, I couldn’t have asked for a nicer place for Mum. Well done to the whole team for making it such a warm and happy place.
