View Full Details of Long Eaton View Care HomeThe building is new, so light and airy, well decorated and the cleaning staff are very good. When I have arrived to visit there has always been space in the car park. Some care staff are fantastic, giving a high standard of personal care and treating residents with the utmost respect, others less so. Waits to be taken from the lounge to the toilet, for non-mobile residents are regularly too long. Assurances are given that staffing ratios meet government guidelines, so the home should look again at how staff are deployed in order to avoid unacceptable waits.
The care my relative received at the end of her life was exceptional. She was never left on her own and it was always ensured that she was kept comfortable and pain-free. The staff were also very kind to the people who were visiting and grieving.
It's a lovely care home, everyone is nice and caring. Each time I've gone in as a visitor you are greeted with a warm welcome. The staff are very caring to the residents, and helpful. The place is spotless and so I've heard the food is lovely. My friend is very happy there. Overall I would recommend the home to others.
My parents moved into Long Eaton View Care Home in September 2023. Prior to moving in we spent 5 hours there, we had lunch (a fantastic midweek roast dinner) I rang in the morning to ask if we could have lunch whilst we were viewing, nothing was too much trouble for them. During the visit I watched the staff and residents and how they interacted. As a nurse I wanted to make sure that the care was priority. I was delighted with all I saw. Mum and Dad were made to feel welcome and loved, both having very different care needs this was important. My father sadly, but expectedly, passed away in the care home in December. The care he, my mum and myself received during this very painful time was phenomenal. From reception, maintenance, HCAs, seniors, care coordinators, chefs, kitchen, domestic to management all staff give the very best care. My mum remains in the care home where her bereavement and memory loss are managed with love and respect. Highly, highly recommended. Thank you all.
My mother-in-law settled very happily and quickly into Long Eaton View. A big thank you to all the staff for surrounding her with excellent care and kindness. The home is bright, modern and clean at all times. We couldn't have asked for better care for her during her time with you and the reassurance this gave her family.
My mum was made to feel very welcome from day one. The kindness and care both she and I received from all the staff was excellent! She was always treated with respect and dignity by everyone. We as a family were so pleased to find this 'gem' and very grateful to you all for her care.
Every visit I am amazed by the kindness and warmth from all staff. The building is always clean and inviting. Your receptionist is a darling.
My mum has been made to feel very welcome since she moved into Long Eaton View. The carers and staff are very friendly and helpful. I would say that the tea time food does need to be slightly varied but nothing major. Would recommend this care home to others.
I have found my cousin's care at Long Eaton View Care Home to be excellent, he is happy and very settled. All the staff from cleaners to management are kind and helpful, caring and supportive. The home is light and airy, very clean and welcoming. The staff meet all my cousin's complex needs, with gentle care and humour. He is treated with dignity and respect. Managers are very approachable, knowledgeable, and informative. I have found them all to want the best for all the residents in their care.
Professional assessment prior to accepting transfer from another care provider. Welcoming environment and staff. Staff keen to understand needs and interests of father-in-law. Would recommend to others.
I came to visit my friend who has been at Long Eaton View Care Home for a few months. Long Eaton View is a lovely care home. It is friendly and made to feel very welcome. The staff are helpful and polite, the residents are treated with dignity and respect. It is clean and has a very good menu. It is very reassuring to know my friend is there.
My mother has been a resident for one year now. It's very reassuring to know she is very contented here and that she is being very well cared for. It's a great weight off our minds to know she is doing so well here. The staff are marvellous, and Mum really enjoys the meals. She also enjoys joining in with the activities. Thank you for taking such good care of her.
To begin, I can't speak highly enough of what I believe is this an excellent home. You'll find the staff friendly and helpful to visitors and open to queries. There is a relaxed and amenable atmosphere throughout the building which is that of efficiency along with approachability. Residents are comfortable going to staff for whatever reason - and are listened to. During the day activities are offered to clients ie potting up plants and sitting down exercises. There's gentle encouragement to participate in these activities but no pressure. After all, residents can choose to sit around and chat or people watch or stay in their rooms and maybe watch tv. I don't know the frequency but days are arranged ie garden centres. Staff keep an eye out for emotional distress in clients and will maybe 'have a chat' if they suspect a client is worried about anything or are in pain. I should also like to say that they do care for their residents. My friend who is a resident has certainly not made any complaints to me about the well-presented food and she certainly would if unhappy.
There is no recreation room now, had to be put into a dining room. The food is not so good and not enough variety. The price has gone us twice since she has been there since November 2022.
My dad seems very happy and settled, he has made lots of friends. His welfare is at the forefront of the home keeping him safe and cared for. The staff are wonderful and kind. It took a couple of months for him to really settle but now he wouldn't move anywhere else. Thank you to all the staff at Long Eaton View Care Home.
I have been so impressed with the care of my mum both physically and emotionally. She was very reluctant to come to a care home but I think the experience has changed her opinion of care homes as it has been a positive experience. The dedication of the staff to keep her safe and well and moving forward physically has been second to none. She arrived not being able to walk and left being able to walk with a frame.
