As a family, we cannot speak highly enough of Liberton Brae Care Home. We had looked at various other care homes but having viewed Liberton Brae and met the manager and some of the staff we knew this was the only place we felt comfortable entrusting with the care of my Mum. From the minute you walk in you're met with a smile and often a welcome from one of the adorable therapy dogs! The rooms and communal areas are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean, and there's always some sort of activity going on to keep the residents occupied. My Mum says "They treat me like the Queen " and that is a great comfort to us, knowing she's in such a safe and caring environment.

All seems good with my father's care at Liberton Brae. My father has dementia and can be difficult at times and the staff have dealt with this sympathetically and professionally. Liberton Brae has good facilities and my dad's room is substantial. All my dealings with staff have been favourable.

From the moment you walk into Liberton Brae Care Home, it feels welcoming. The staff are friendly and the care they show the residents is excellent. You can see the residents have a good relationship with the staff and are happy with their relationship with members of staff.

I wanted to review this care home as I feel it deserves a positive review. The staff are amazing and very attentive to the residents. The place is spotless and welcoming. The residents are out of bed every day and have access to emergency buzzers, in my experience this is not always the case.

My father moved here a couple of months ago and I have nothing negative to say at all about Liberton Care Home. The staff are professional, kind and caring and helped settle my Dad in. Nothing is a problem and they go out of their way to make sure my Dad is cared for and happy. I have found all staff, from senior nurses to the cleaners, to be pleasant and always go out of their way to say hello.

We cannot speak highly enough about the standard and quality of care that our sister is receiving from the manager and her excellent team at the Liberton Brae Home. It has been such a relief knowing that we have moved our sister to a significantly improved care environment where everything is exceptionally well managed and nothing seems to be a problem. From entering Liberton Brae Care Home to the staff (this includes, Management, Carers, Nurses, Cleaners, Maintenance and Entertainers) to the quality and comfort of the residents' rooms, the dining areas and indoor and outdoor lounges and gardens, all are first-class.

My niece was admitted to Liberton Care Home due to her previous care accommodation closing. She has settled into her new beautiful accommodation with ease. The staff from domestic, care and nursing have made her feel so welcome and appear to meet her every need. She has a busy schedule and again this is thanks to the staff who interact constantly with the residents and encourage them to use all the activities and many communal areas on offer. It is a great relief to the family to see her so comfortable and cared for.

My father has only been here a short time but I have nothing negative to say about the home. On arrival, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The staff on his unit are fantastic with my dad, nothing every seems to be a problem to them. I can see a massive difference in my dad, he is always clean-shaven and spotless. He seems very happy to stay there.

We were over for a visit to see our friend. Liberton Brae is a lovely home with beautiful furnishings so clean and inviting for visitors. We came across from Fife to see her and there was an afternoon singalong with a lady singer and tombola as well. We thoroughly enjoyed singing along with everyone. Just glad she is happy there and settled, we will get over to see her as soon as I have recovered from my injury. Fabulous Staff as well.

Staff are very professional and very friendly. Their communication skills are excellent and I feel very comfortable visiting the home. Nothing is too much trouble. The home is spotless and my Dad is always clean and well presented. I am contacted and kept informed about any medical changes to medication etc. A very happy, clean, professional home.

My mum's been in Liberton care home since last September, I was really upset about her having to go but couldn't ask for a better place, my mum's well looked after always clean and tidy and her rooms spotless, the staff are brilliant all really nice and all care so much for my mum. If I'm worried about anything I know a member of staff will have the answer. I wouldn't have her anywhere else.

Our Mum was a resident at Liberton Brae from June 2023 till she sadly died on 20 January 2024. From the start the care and devotion of the staff was exemplary, they went above and beyond at every opportunity to enhance Mum's quality of life and happiness. The rooms are fantastic bright and beautifully decorated and furnished. There are lots of activities and everyone is encouraged to make the most of every day. The food is also brilliant and the chef would frequently make something especially for Mum to encourage her to eat. We viewed 20 care homes in the city before we visited Liberton Brae and it was by far the best. When it came to end-of-life care my sister and I were treated with such compassion and everything possible was done for Mum so she passed peacefully and with dignity. The staff had become like an extended family and some came to the funeral. This is a genuinely caring and lovely home in a gorgeous building. I could not recommend highly enough.

A beautiful bright and cheerful care home all the team are amazing, hard-working and very caring it is a delight to visit. Rooms are always spotless and plenty of room. Can’t wait until the summer so we can use the roof garden.

Dad has settled in so quickly to Liberton. He feels happy and very well looked after. The staff have been friendly, efficient and always there for anything he needs. I, also have found staff and management to be very easy to talk to and to ask questions. They made the move for Dad and me so much easier than I ever thought it would be. Can not fault them in any way.

After having viewed several other residential care homes in the locality - we knew right away that my mother's needs would be met here. The staff were extremely patient and understanding of our situation and provided excellent explanations to our questions. They tolerated quite a few visits from us prior to Mum being admitted. All members of staff we have encountered are very attentive to Mum and her family. Mum has said that she feels she is allowed to be herself which is what we would want. In the short time Mum has been there she has made use of the hairdressing facilities, enjoyed the musical activities and has attended the church services. She has even enjoyed a trip to the theatre. All these things were on Mum's wish list for a new home. In my opinion staff are committed and dedicated to providing excellence in all that they do. Everyone contributes to the care of my mum. The decor and cleanliness is superb and the signage useful. A truly welcome home from home.

My aunt has been in the home for nearly a year now and has been so well cared for. Staff are engaging with patients and relatives and keeping family notified of any change in care which is a great relief for the family as we don’t reside in the area. The activities team keep her busy and interested with a wide variety of activities, painting, crafts and bingo which she enjoys. The roof garden and outside pond are lovely to sit in and much enjoyed in the good weather. She loves getting her hair done at the in-house hairdresser. From the manager, to all members of staff they have provided a safe and very caring atmosphere.

Very comfortable with my mum living here, everyone is so nice and friendly, I know she is in safe hands. Dementia-orientated, which is nice to know because not experiencing it before I know that someone is there and knows how to deal with my mum when her memories from the past come and upset her when her family are not around.

From my first visit to look around I was very warmly welcomed by the manager and every single one of the staff. They are all so friendly and extremely knowledgeable and caring. The home is very clean and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble, my mum is bed bound and staff will often spend at least 30 mins just chatting with her, having a laugh etc. I couldn’t wish for more.
