My mother has been a resident at this care home for 2 years now. On all my visits - regularly daily mostly - there is always a smile awaiting as you enter the home. The care is exceptional and the facilities are second to none. I have recommended this to friends and acquaintances and have helped a couple who decided to opt for Thorn Springs, given my experience at the home, who decided on the home for their loved ones.

The home continue to provide top quality care for my father. Throughout his stay he has had superb support from the staff who really seem to want to go above and beyond to make their residents and the families visiting feel it's their home. The focus on care and quick resolution of any issues is first class. They also seem to be able to give everyone some attention no matter how awkward some characters of this age / mental capacity can be! I for one have been so impressed and so grateful that we chose this lovely home for my father's final hurrah! My heartfelt thanks for all the support over a difficult period of emotional roller coasters for all involved.

Cannot find one bad word to say about this care home from every single member of staff they are wonderful. The activities include, visiting garden centres, coffee shops, general shopping at the local shops. The activity staff bring a range of singers, choirs and bands. Evening activities have included Mecca hosting bingo for the residents and their families. Many creative activities daily.

Thorn Springs Care home is amazing. My mum has been living there now for almost a year and loves it. The staff are so kind and very thoughtful and always on hand to help the residence. Mum loves the entertainment and having people around her to interact with. We love visiting her and her friends and are made to feel like part of a big family. I strongly believe that Thorn Springs has changed my mums life for the better.

I was concerned when my very private, fiercely independent mother decided she needed to move into an assisted living home. Luckily she chose Thorn Springs where she was allowed the freedom to be herself and where she feels supported and at home, all due to the amazing, kind and professional staff. Thank you Team Thorn Springs, you have a lovely home.

Thorn Springs is a lovely home. My auntie is living there and she is so comfortable there as she is well looked after. The staff are brilliant and the home is nice and clean. It's so nice to see the people that live there are content.

My mum moved into Thorn Springs in September after being given a diagnosis of Altziemers and I am so pleased we found this home for her. The staff and carers really go above and beyond and nothing is too much for them. The home is very modern, clean, and has so many activities laid on for the residents and the food provided is plentiful and tasty. There is always plenty to occupy my mum within the home if needed and if she just wants to chill in her room that's ok too. I highly recommend Thorn Springs and can see a noticeable change in my mum's mood and well-being since she has moved into Thorn Springs.

I live abroad so I cannot visit very often and it is important that I can be confident of the care given to my mother at Thorn Springs. They have not let us down. Whenever I visit I am impressed by the happy atmosphere and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The day rooms are attractive and there is always something planned to stimulate the residents. It is a shame that there is not more outdoor space but they often venture out to the local café and beyond. The rooms are clean, attractive and well-equipped but a little small. Mother can be difficult sometimes, but the staff take it in their stride with great patience. There is good medical follow-up with a GP visiting regularly and they can arrange for eye and hearing tests. The staff communicate well with relatives and are always ready to listen and answer questions. The food is good and plentiful, with a choice of dishes. Hot drinks and cake are always available for all, not to mention the delicious milkshakes.

My father has been at Thorn Springs for four months. We are extremely pleased with the care he is being given. The social side is excellent, interacting with both residents and carers. The home and staff are brilliant and always make relatives very welcome.

My experience of Thorn Springs is a fantastic home for my father firstly, which is then complemented by excellent staff with a very caring nature, who go the extra mile for their residents. The home, staff and the facilities get a ten out of ten from me, I have recommended the home to others and believe they recently had a short-stay resident as a result of the recommendation. Probably the most important thing, my father is the happiest he’s been for ten years since my mother passed away. Regards.

My mum has been living at Thorn Springs for several months and has received the best care throughout that period. The home is modern, bright and clean with excellent facilities and the carers and management team work tirelessly to create a happy and relaxed atmosphere. There is a varied programme of planned activities each day and the team at Thorn Springs has also facilitated additional activities/interests that they know my mum has enjoyed throughout her life. I am so grateful that we found Thorn Springs and would 100% recommend it to anyone seeking respite or longer-term care for themselves or a loved one.

Myself and my mother are so happy that we found Thorn Springs on line. This was the only home I looked at and I was so impressed with everything that it showed that I immediately came to view it. Everyone was so helpful and the staff are amazing. My mother has never been happier. I would recommend this home to everyone. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always there to answer any questions we have. I can relax now knowing my mother is extremely happy and loving every minute of her stay here with all the activities that they provide. My mother was losing the will to live but she has bucked up so much for being here. I would just like to say thank you to all at Thorn Springs you have made mine and my mums life so much easier knowing that they are looking after her so well.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Thorn Springs as the most caring, happy, friendly home I have ever been to. My husband is very well cared for and the staff do everything they can to meet his needs. There is a lovely atmosphere when you first arrive and that continues throughout the home.

Mum has been made to feel very welcome and at home. The staff are always friendly and helpful and often go the extra mile. Thorn Springs is a lovely place to be and always has an upbeat atmosphere. Very much recommended.

Nana came to Thorn Springs initially as respite, this was a difficult time for nana as she struggled with the transition - this was made worse by the infection which had severely affected her well-being both physically and mentally. Nana wasn't happy - she struggled to adjust and was adamant she would be returning to her own home. 7 odd months later, nanas well-being and quality of life have improved greatly. A lovely home with an abundance of love, light and laughter. Well done, all.

When we visit we get a very good welcome from the management and staff when we arrive at mum's room it is very warm and clean and cosy. If any problem arises it is dealt with very quickly. The food is excellent and plenty of it. There are varied activities to do. When we were looking at care homes this one stood out by a country mile, one for all the things to do and value for money.

Mum went into Thorn Springs in February of this year, and at such a difficult time when we made the decision, this was eased by the support of the team. Now as we are near to a year, I am so grateful for the care that mum receives at Thorn Springs. Mum has Alzheimer’s and it’s difficult adjusting to such an awful disease, but knowing mum is cared for in such a lovely home has helped our family come to terms with it. The staff are amazing, so kind and patient. I know mum is happy there, and we as a family couldn’t ask for better care for mum. The bedrooms are lovely, they are always doing activities and it is spotlessly clean. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

My dad was looked after at Thorn Springs for 6 weeks for some respite care. He was looked after extremely well, the facilities are superb, with excellent communal areas including a cinema. The rooms are en suite and have all the amenities needed to create comfortable surroundings for the residents to feel at home. The staff are very kind and helpful, creating a homely and caring atmosphere, we were very lucky to find such a wonderful place to home my dad temporarily. Thanks to all the staff at Thorn Springs for all their kindness and patience.
