View Full Details of Hallmark Angmering GrangeExcellent and caring assistants/staff who contribute greatly to welfare of the residents.
My sister and I visited a few places before deciding on Hallmark Angmering Grange for our mum, who has dementia. It was a big decision, but we're very happy with our choice. The home is beautiful, with excellent facilities and a lovely garden. The staff are lovely, extremely professional and supportive. They have done all they can to help Mum settle in, engage with others and take part in a variety of different activities. We're very grateful.
When my father-in-law came into Angmering Grange from hospital following a serious fall, he was immediately made to feel comfortable and at home. The staff are all warm, friendly and efficient. The meals are delicious and well-presented. Quality of life is respected at all times. The social activities are always interesting and cinema evenings are great fun.
We have relocated my father here from a care home in Surrey as he was unable to settle there. He is 93, deaf and nearly blind. We explained his condition on our initial visit and the decision to move him was simple one after we visited the home. They pride themselves in their resident's home, and they work in their home for them. All the staff have gone out of their way to help settle him in. It is a lovely home and though he wouldn't admit it to me he has settled in and finds it a lovely caring place [he has not said a bad thing about it]. He always comments on the lovely food and looks forward to his meal times. The carers in his own words are caring and do a great job, as do all the rest of the team. We would recommend it to anyone, it's a friendly caring place. It's more like a luxury hotel than a care home
My family selected this care home when they decided that my husband could not leave the hospital and go back to our lovely flat without some respite care first. We thought it was too expensive and we felt it was nowhere worth what it cost. I arrived from the hospital first and when I asked for a tour, but I never knew of most of the facilities because I was never shown them. Our main complaint is the same from most residents was the food. It was such a simple thing but several times I had to send my soup back as it was hardly lukewarm. The chefs should not really try making Italian and Indian meals if they cannot find better recipes and make them any better than now. The worst one was slow-cooked chicken korma'. First of all the sauce was thin, like water, with little shreds of just added bell peppers. If this was really 'slow cooked' the sauce would have been much thicker, the peppers cooked, and the chicken not so tough we couldn't eat it.
I visited Angmering Grange and found it to be an enjoyable experience. My room was on the 2nd floor. Not good in hot weather without air conditioning. The food was good but I would have liked more cooked vegetables. The gardens are immaculate and accessible by paths and benches to rest on. A weekly typed activities programme is given to each resident. A hairdressing salon for weekly appointments, a visiting nail specialist and a treatment room for massage or facials and a visiting chiropodist, all-inclusive in the home's charge. I appreciated prepared meals, and no washing up, shopping or thinking about what to eat. The chefs made me a superb 90th birthday cake and I received chocolates and flowers from the management. My renewed thanks to everyone.
For my friend's 91st birthday, we asked Angmering Grange to host a short birthday party. The team at the home went above and beyond organising an incredible afternoon tea for 10 people. This included sandwiches, scones and a birthday cake. My friend was so surrounded with care and love, a real testament to the family feel at the home.
The staff were so friendly but efficient. They obviously care about each member of the community. Staff training is a priority. The friend I went to visit receives care and attention. She is seen as a special person but all residents appear to be treated in a similar way. Well done everyone! Thank you.
A marvellous home to all residents and visitors. Wonderful team, stunning gardens, beautiful decor inside. Stimulating atmosphere as soon as you enter The Grange. If one has to live away from one's own home, then The Grange is the place to be.
One week's respite after a hip replacement. Lovely restful recuperation with caring staff. No regular cleaning of room, trip hazard! Food could have been more imaginative, no offer of salad dressing etc. All meat very tender and flavoursome. Bread excellent. Serving staff very accommodating to individual needs. Very patient with individual requirements.
People with dementia are not supposed to improve. My Mum didn't walk for a year and Angmering Grange have got her walking. But what they have given our family is so much more. Mum's carers honestly look after her like she is their own Mum. I think her naughty sense of humour helps but the kindness I have witnessed goes above and beyond any expectations. I see the same care with other residents from all the staff. Reaching the stage where your Mum has to be in a care home is so tough but the team are so wonderful and shows so much kindness to our whole family. Their concern and love extends to all of us. Some of the girls are young but so unbelievably mature, showing a wisdom way beyond their years. From the reception team to the seniors on the floor I always feel that every person involved in the home cares about their job and the huge difference they are making to our lives. I had the pleasure of meeting the night girls recently and they too were incredible. Thank you, Angmering Grange!
We had to find somewhere very quickly after my Mother had an unexpected operation and needed respite care for 4 weeks. Within a couple of days of calling Angmering Grange an assessment was organised on our Mum's needs and she moved in. It is a beautifully kept nursing home with lovely gardens to walk around in. They have wonderful facilities, a cafe, and various lounges to sit and relax in, watch television and read. There is also a cinema room which show films every afternoon. There are various activities on a daily basis, should you wish to use them. They also have a weekly hairdresser and manicurist. The food in the dining rooms is superb! The nurse and care assistants were all so friendly, kind, caring and supportive to our Mum. There is nothing to fault and my sisters and I, would not hesitate to recommend Angmering Grange.
My wife has received excellent care since moving in five months ago. The staff do a brilliant job and cheerfully manage all situations, no matter how challenging.
Angmering Grange is a very comfortable place to be. The staff are friednly and extremely helpful. The rooms are all clean and comfortable and the house is set in gardens that will when fully established rival and garden. They are lovingly cared for and a joy to be in. I am very happy here.
We had originally visited Angmering Grange with the intention of Dad having some respite care and we were very impressed with all the lovely facilities and the friendliness of the staff. Due to his health deteriorating in hospital, he was actually admitted to Angmering Grange on a permanent basis for palliative care. The nurses and care assistants were all wonderful so cheerful and supportive. They went out of their way to meet his individual needs both re his favourite foods to encourage him to eat and on his good days getting him into a wheelchair to enable us to take him into the garden or cafe to read the papers to brighten his spirits so he didn’t feel he was totally bed bound. It was lovely for us to be able to spend time with Dad in his last weeks in such a lovely friendly place having our privacy when needed but also knowing he was well looked after by the staff 24/7 and all the staff made us feel at home whatever time we were visiting.
From choosing Angmering Grange to moving Mum in, the care and attention have been fantastic. Every member of staff from all the different teams goes above and beyond normal duty to ensure the utmost care to all residents. Absolutely, the residents come first. This is a happy home for all. My brother and I live overseas and we can rest at night knowing our mother is in the best hands. The gardens are beautifully kept and thoughtful daily activities are organised. The care, well-being and safety of each resident are forefront at Angmering Grange. Thank you for caring and your compassion.
