View Full Details of Barchester Parley Place Care HomeMy husband had a two week Respite care stay and was very happy and well cared for whilst there. The home is bright, clean and very welcoming. It's feels like a welcome hug when you walk through the doors. All the staff were cheerful and ready to help with any request. He enjoyed the change of scene, conversation and interaction with new people which gave him a lift on his outlook. I spoke to him on various occasions on social media and he had so much to relate about his day and the outings he went on. In fact he is saying he will look forward to his next visit when I take a Carers break in September. His room was warm and comfortable with his own facilities and he enjoyed looking out the window at the wildlife, especially the Rooks. I enjoyed a lunch in the dining room the day he went there and spent a few hours with him to get settled in. It didn't take him long to feel at home. Thank you one and all for your care and attention during his stay.
Mum stayed 9 nights at Parley Place so I could have a break. She gets very anxious due to her dementia, but the team always put her at ease and seem to go the extra mile to make her stay as enjoyable as possible. I have no hesitation in putting mum in the great care of Parley Place and will be doing so every 8 weeks or so. Mum is fully aware that I need to have a break from her as I'm her sole carer and she insisted that she wouldn't want to go anywhere else but Parley Place. Thanks to all the staff as from the minute I drop her off I can switch off and get some me time.
My mother was very well cared for during a 2 week respite stay after being discharged from hospital. The staff were all very helpful, exceptionally kind and caring- nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you.
Mum stayed at Barchester Parley Place Care Home for two weeks respite and I can honestly say that we were all very impressed with everything it has to offer. The design of the home is lovely, the rooms are great, with everything thought about very carefully and all staff were amazing. Mum is 94 with advanced dementia and has said many times how lovely everyone was to her. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Parley Place.
I was very happy whilst I was there and all the staff were very friendly. I had a very nice room with a big window, en-suite wet shower room, TV and comfortable armchair and footrest. The dining room was spacious with nicely set tables, white tablecloth and good table service. Teas, coffees, cakes, fruit and biscuits always available for me and my visitors opposite reception overlooking the garden.
Excellent care from everyone.
As part of a group of volunteers, I had lunch in one of the small dining rooms. Food and service were excellent. We were made welcome from the time we arrived until we left. The member of staff who served us was cheerful and very helpful. Thank you.
Excellent care for two weeks respite. Nothing too much trouble. Everyone is very kind and caring. Thank you to all the staff, day and night, domestic and professional.
Barchester Parley Place Care Home is a wonderful care home which I would recommend to anyone. The standard of care, the commitment of all staff and the actual home itself are all five-star! I have total faith that my mother is safe and all her needs are fulfilled.
A very good experience and I would recommend it to others, the staff were so attentive and the facilities are excellent. I enjoyed meeting the other residents and engaging in the activities. The facilities in the room were very nicely presented and I was so pleased to be able to have a garden view.
Mum is very happy at Barchester Parley Place Care Home, the level of care, friendly staff and attention to detail are very impressive. From my perspective, I don't need to worry when I am not around - everything is taken care of, the facility is more akin to a five-star hotel and is always a pleasure to visit. The processes in place are democratic and involve family, residents and staff.
My mother was in Barchester Parley Place Care Home from the 10th until the 24th of January, following a stay in hospital. During her stay, she got back her strength and confidence, thanks to all of the staff there. She was treated with kindness and compassion. A big thank you from the family.
The staff are the exceptional thing that stands out for this lovely home. They are so welcoming and professional. They put both me and my mother at ease and I feel relieved that she is receiving such good care. The facilities and the home, itself, are top-notch and feel more like a hotel at times. Very impressed!
Barchester Parley Place Care Home is a stimulating home with caring staff who are dedicated to their roles. It has a whole care home approach to staffing, where even staff who are not carers take a keen interest in the residents. There are plenty of daily activities for residents. It is a pleasure to visit my father as we know he is being well cared for and there is always a friendly welcome. I would highly recommend Parley Place.
Very impressed with the care and dedication that all the staff have given to my mother. Always above and beyond. We are also free to welcome to visit at any time and made to feel very welcome. The staff are very welcoming. My mother is well cared for and we feel happy with the attention that she receives.
Thoroughly enjoyable two weeks of respite care, although more of a holiday week. Live very local so first choice for such a break. Will undoubtedly return in early 2024 for a similar break. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. More like a 'family' break. Can't wait for a repeat! Facilities very good, but marked down because I felt a simple exercise room would be beneficial, with a treadmill, exercise bike, and upper body equipment.
My second stay at Parley Place, I'm looking forward to my third stay later this year. The care I receive is outstanding. All staff are always warm and welcoming, and I'm very happy to stay at Parley Place.
Having had the experience of other care homes, I am being very honest in telling you there is absolutely no comparison, this is one hundred per cent perfect. Thank you.
My room was lovely, lovely outlook and clean and tidy. The staff are all angels and the management all come to introduce themselves. The facilities are brilliant, you can't fault anything at Parley Place. The food and drink are class-I need to buy new trousers! The activities are very well organised and well thought out, I enjoyed the word games. All the staff made me feel safe. Excellent value for money-first class home! Most enjoyable experience and would come back again.
Parley Place Care Home is truly exceptional! Our first visit was on a sunny Sunday afternoon, we had not made an appointment but we were welcomed openly. The first thing that struck us was laughter coming from the direction of the garden where several residents were enjoying tea and cake. The feeling of a warm, caring community was quite striking. Within five days we had made all the necessary arrangements to move Mum to Parley Place, she is now happy, feels safe, eating well and is truly enjoying her stay. Mum has said on multiple occasions that when the staff ask her how she is - she feels they are interested in her answer. The building itself is stunning and the staff are knowledgeable, kind and caring. My husband and I cannot think of an improvement that would make Parley Place any better and more importantly, neither can Mum.
