View Full Details of Cavell Park Care HomeDuring my stay at Cavell Park I was treated with respect and kindness and should I need care in the future I would go there again.
My mother was looked after extremely well by the staff. The atmosphere throughout the nursing home was so warm and friendly together with the care given to both residents and guests. The highly recommend Cavell Park and cant thank them enough for the care they gave my mother whilst she was there.
Our mum and dad have just joined Cavell Park a few days ago. Words fail me to express our gratitude towards all the staff and residents for making them feel so welcome and at home. Leaving your home of 63 years to move into a new one is extremely hard, and settling is not easy. To say Cavell Park is like a 5-star hotel does not do it justice, because a hotel stay in wonderful surroundings with amazing food would not also bring the level of care provided from every member of the team there, whatever their role. The energy of the place is nothing short of incredible. The management is superb. To the manager, you run the place with your heart and you can see that running through every single member of your team. Nothing is too much trouble and it is so clear to see you are all there because you want to be and because you love looking after others. I cannot recommend Cavell Park enough. I had no idea care homes could be this good! I would actually happily move in myself. Thank you all so much.
Our experience with Cavell Park Care Home has been excellent overall. Staff members get to know residents and their relatives as individuals. Everyone is treated with respect. The food is excellent. We had a lovely family meal in the private dining room. My father needs lots of encouragement to join in activities but has enjoyed musical performances. He also likes going to the cafe with family members.
Excellent experience. Very impressed. Every need catered for. Was apprehensive about going to a care home but Cavell Park has changed my mind. Family love the home. Beautiful room.
Excellent experience from enquiry call to my aunt's admission which was an emergency. Excellent advice and treatment.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the wonderful team at Cavell Park for the exceptional care they provided to my father during his time there. From the moment he arrived, the staff became an extension of his family, treating him with the utmost dignity and respect. They made him feel valued and cared for in a way that truly touched us. The team also created a joyful, lighthearted atmosphere, always taking the time to laugh and joke with him, something that was incredibly important to him. The Hawaiian themed garden party was such a delight and we will treasure that special memory. These moments of warmth and happiness made a real impact. Thank you for making such a difference in his life.
My mother had a respite stay as a break following her recent bereavement, She was unsure whether she wanted to remain living by herself, or have others around all the time. She was anxious about whether this was the right thing to do, but the staff were so friendly and helpful and put her at ease and encouraged her to make contact with others and get involved in some of the activities. Not all the activities were her first choice, at least they were available and got her involved in something different in an attempt to give her a more positive outlook. The food was lovely, with a good level of choice. It was good that her local friends could also visit when they wanted, and that they could take her out; they too were welcomed. Whilst she enjoyed the stay at Cavell Park, it's still too early for that final move. The plan is to wait a little longer for life to settle down before deciding where home will be, and consider short holiday breaks in the meantime.
My mum came in for respite and really enjoyed her stay. She was very anxious, however she was made to feel very welcome. She very much enjoyed the food which was amazing and a glass off wine in the evenings. Beautiful surroundings and very homely with lots of cosy seating areas to relax in with visiting family and friends. Very friendly and helpful staff on hand 24/7, nothing was too much trouble. It gave my mum a well needed rest and us as a family.
Whenever we have visited Cavell Park Care Home the staff have always had a smile on their face. Friendly and helpful.
Mother-in-law moved in after a failed first attempt at a care home. She's been here a few weeks now and has settled so well. She says "We have chosen well.". As a family, we have visited a number of times and have been welcomed by name and made to feel so comfortable. It's such a treat to visit the coffee lounge, it makes us feel as if we have taken our relative out for coffee. Nothing is too much trouble "a glass of wine perhaps", is such a treat. So happy with our choice.
We are new to the home (6 weeks), but we are finding it excellent in all aspects.
I have been visiting my friend of many years for several months, once a week, and am impressed with the level of care provided in a lovely room overlooking well-kept gardens and a peaceful atmosphere. I would be happy to be cared for in this environment should the need arise and finances allow.
Excellent as always, clean, staff friendly, attentive to the service users and the gardens are immaculate. Overall very happy with Cavell Park.
Thank you so much for the care you have given my mother. I think you gave her an extra two months of dignity, comfort and fulfilment that we never dreamt that she'd get when she came out of hospital and we are so grateful for the quality time we had with her. I know she must have touched many of your team, as they were shocked and upset to learn of her passing.
Mum was welcomed with smiles and a large vase of white roses. The next day she was showered and dressed and was sat upright in her lovely chair knitting. She looked so happy. It was a pleasure to see. It was an eight-and-a-half-week stay for palliative care. We are pleased to have sent her there. Mum loved it. She made friends with her nurses, carers, entertainment staff, and management. She even managed to enjoy old favourites like coffee, cake, chocolate, and cheese again. She took part - arts and craft, bingo, flower arranging, gardening club, dancing with singers, karaoke, knitting, and quizzes. She was treated to afternoon tea, a cocktail, and a glass of red wine. She was able to give her life story to a willing listener. Mum was pampered too her nails were painted and had heavenly bubble baths. We lost Mum in May but the staff at Cavell Park were exceptional. Mum had the best possible end of life and she passed away with dignity surrounded by love. Thank you.
My ex-husband was in Cavell Park for the last few weeks of his life. We found the home extremely impressive in its quality in terms of accommodation, facilities and most importantly care. Without exception, all the staff was friendly, helpful, and caring, well beyond a level that we might have expected. Cavell Park gives the impression of being a luxury hotel, rather than a care home and everything was done to make my ex-husband's weeks as pleasant as possible. I would highly recommend this establishment.
I am so grateful for the care and attention paid to my mum since her move to Cavell Park. She has been treated with dignity and respect which has reassured me my mum is in a safe environment with attentive staff who care for her well-being. I am impressed with the detail in the care plan, the activities available and being able to be involved in Mum’s care. The staff are so kind and supportive. I highly recommend Cavell Park as excellent place and great we can visit anytime which maintains very high standards. I also add the home is well run from the management side.
This is regarding my parents. The home is a new home and is getting up to speed with staffing, activities and catering. The care in the dementia floor is excellent for the first time now in several years I sleep at night knowing my parents are safe. This is because of the excellent leadership from the manager of the floor, and expert care leads. I can finally be a daughter again.
Cavell is a very unique care home. All the staff have been amazing. My mum is on the memory floor and all the staff have been so kind and helpful with settling Mum into the home. Always the utmost care for Mum. Can't fault any of the staff on the memory floor, all so lovely.
