Truly grateful to all the staff at Edgewater who went above and beyond. the care that was not only shown to their patient but to us as a family was truly overwhelming. We will be forever grateful for the memories we were able to create as a family. Exceptional care home.
My father recently moved to Edgewater, what an excellent service. There is a noticeable improvement in my father since he moved here. The staff are very friendly and helpful and you can definitely tell they are committed to their jobs and learning. The staff are specially trained to support those with an acquired brain injury. The accommodation is clean and tidy and the ward environments offer low stimulation with an activity ward separate. It is a real shame that these providers are few and far between and that there aren’t more of them across the country.
My father has been a resident of Edgewater and I live 250 miles away. The guest room can be booked with the manager. It has a sofa bed for sleeping for two. There is an ensuite wetroom and the room is wheelchair accessible and beautifully decorated. It has underfloor heating! There is a shared kitchen with a microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and water fountain. The room has wifi. The room is below the resident's room. I was made welcome by all the staff I met. I was easily able to see my father. Thank you so much. Outings: my father loves going out and about. I joined him on outings for shopping where he bought himself Christmas socks and cards and warm gloves. Another trip was along the promenade and then to a coffee shop for drinks, biscuits and chat. The carers pushed wheelchair users, everybody had a great time and my father was so well looked after. The staff are so very kind and caring at Edgewater. Dad is 92!
Both my husband and I have been made very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and all his needs are being met. I feel contended that he is safe and they understand all his complex medical needs. It's a thoroughly lovely home-from-home.
This is a fantastic place with wonderful staff who make the residents feel at home. The staff all seem to enjoy their work in this lovely care home, which also makes it feel very homely.
Since my husband has moved to Edgewater, he has settled well with the support if staff. I have been made to feel very welcome. I feel very relived that his placement here is working well. It's always a worry when someone has to rely on care and I feel so happy he is here.
The staff are very polite. 100% good care. The food is brilliant. My life has changed for the better since moving here. I've been getting up every day, as I was unable to do this previously, due to physio and staff.
Edgewater has a lovely calm atmosphere and is set up like a home-from-home (not clinical). My sister is well settled and happy here, always has lots of smiles for staff and is always presented as clean, tidy and well looked after. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful when visiting.
My relative just moved into Edgewater. I had my first visit last weekend. What a beautiful place. The staff I met were friendly, reassuring and helpful, and I left feeling my relative was in good hands and will receive compassion and professional care. Thank you; it's a long time since I felt hopeful for my relative.
