View Full Details of Barchester Wilton Place Care HomeWilton Place certainly makes the most of a challenging site, on a slope with limited space for development. The exterior of the building presents clean, attractive lines with a pleasing combination of materials and colour scheme. The interior decoration is interesting and eye-catching and the floor plan on each level is well thought out with plenty of space on the landings and main connecting walkways. The rooms are comfortable and well-decorated with pleasant soft furnishings. The staff are cheerful, friendly and in the main local people, which makes a great difference to ease of communication and interaction. The first impression on reception is helpful, polite and welcoming. One could probably settle to a pleasant life at Wilton Place in one's declining years.
My mother went to Barchester Wilton Place Care Home for respite care in April 2023 and liked it so much she decided to move in permanently. She stayed there until autumn 2024 when she needed extra care. She really enjoyed all the activities and her room, she loved sitting on her patio outside and socialising in the bistro. The staff were excellent, some visiting her on their own time while she was in hospital. It was such a special place for her that we mentioned her time there in her eulogy. Thank you to Wilton Place and their sister home for making her last years so special.
Staying for three weeks respite at Barchester Wilton Place Care Home. Wilton Place Care Home was very similar to a top-class hotel. What a wonderful experience. All the carers were such lovely, helpful, caring people. There was a wonderful, calming atmosphere and such a special place for people to spend their remaining years. Thank you very much.
Outstanding! Responsive. Consistent. Reliable. All staff work as a team.
At the beginning of December 2024, I had to find a care home for my father at very short notice. Barchester Wilton Place Care Home was recommended to me and I was able to visit almost straight away. They made everything so easy, were kind, understanding and communicative. My father was able to move in within a week and has settled with absolutely no problems. He is comfortable, cared for, shown respect and thanks to the staff and wonderful environment of the home, has settled very quickly.
Exceptional staff service, highly trained staff, very efficient, excellent bedroom/bathroom. The home was a great experience, well-run and very friendly from waking up to going to bed, faultless. I have booked, again, two weeks in January. Thank you for everything.
Every time I am able to visit my grandma, who's a resident, I am blown away by the standards here. So clean, welcoming and high quality. The staff also are always so friendly and personable and I love seeing how they interact with the residents. It makes me feel happy and reassured that my grandma is somewhere so lovely.
The warm welcome for all visitors is evident as soon as you come into Barchester Wilton Place Care Home. All the staff were keen to help in any way possible, it was obvious that all staff are proud to be part of Wilton Place team. The rooms are beautifully clean and every effort was made to enable my friend (coming for respite care) to be as happy/safe as possible. Thank you!
A very caring and friendly environment, that makes the most of life for my mum.
Contrary to expectations, my husband was pleasantly surprised at how much he enjoyed his recent weeks' respite care with you at Barchester Wilton Place Care Home as I was too. I feel we have both made new friends amongst staff, management and the residents. As is probably natural, I felt slightly guilty at not wanting my husband home too soon after his stay in hospital. As if happening, I went down with Covid so it was a blessing in disguise. I was more than happy with the care he received and know he would be happy to return when I need a break!
I agreed to come to Barchester Wilton Place Care Home because I needed to give my wife a break (she was having a long-awaited jolly) and fourteen days was the minimum stay and I'd heard of your reputation. I've enjoyed socialising with some of your residents and your lovely staff. Unfortunately, I had to be ambulanced back to hospital with a serious UTI which weakened me considerably and it was two weeks before I could return to you. I was encouraged to play the harmonica in the bistro which people seemed to enjoy and would return if required at Christmas or before.
My mother had two weeks of respite care and we could not have been happier with the experience. The care staff were very kind and considerate, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and the ambience and atmosphere of the home was comfortable, friendly and caring. We are already talking about another respite.
My grandma has lived at Barchester Wilton Place Care Home for over eighteen months now and she is receiving the highest standard of care. The staff are brilliant, very friendly, kind, caring and know their residents so well. Whenever I visit, the atmosphere in the home is lovely, there are always homemade cakes and teas and coffees on offer. The home also puts on lots of fun weekend events throughout the year for the residents and really encourages families to get involved, making sure there is always something for the little ones to get involved in too!
Mum looks so calm, settled and fresh when I arrive for my weekly visit. I can't thank Barchester Wilton Place Care Home enough for the care that they provide in her new home. I know she is safe.
I feel that my four weeks respite experience was long enough to gain a fair and balance view of life at Barchester Wilton Place Care Home. Every aspect of my needs at the time were fulfilled. I was graciously welcomed by kind, friendly staff. This helped me to settle quickly. All the staff were respectful, friendly and kind. No request was ever too much. Staff knew everybody's name and worked well together. As I needed to extend my stay, I had the experience of occupying two different rooms. Both were light, quiet and had good outlooks. I made a good choice in going to Wilton Place.
Mum started off with respite care but she has settled in so well that we are going to make it permanent. It really is a home-from-home. Mum is going to thrive in Barchester Wilton Place Care Home. The staff make us all feel very welcome and part of the everyday life of Mum at Wilton Place.
My mother enjoyed her stay and was very well cared for.
Excellent modern care home with first-class facilities. Bright clean rooms, well managed with thoughtful and caring staff.
My experience was immaculate - the staff, particularly the manager, were extremely kind and helpful. I couldn't fault my stay there. The chefs were accommodating of my dietary needs, and went out of their way to provide what I needed. I would definitely return.
Incredible environment and service. The manager made our visit so comfortable and the whole home is clearly run very well. All the residents seemed so relaxed, enjoying the facilities and looked after. The list of activities looked really fun and it's such a comfort knowing loved ones are living in a clean, well-organised, welcoming atmosphere.
