View Full Details of Butlers Mews Care Home - Avery HealthcareMy mum arrived at Butlers Mews a few days ago. She has settled in exceptionally well and very quickly. The facilities are fabulous and she has already commented that everywhere is spotless, the cutlery is sparkling and the white linen tablecloths. All the staff are so welcoming, friendly and cheerful. It has been a huge relief to me that mum has settled in so quickly and is being cared for by such lovely and caring staff including the management, who have been so supportive to me too.
On arriving at Butlers Mews we were greeted by the staff The room was very spacious and clean Had lunch with my friend which was well presented and tasty All the staff chatted to my friend and made her feel at home Returned two days later to have private dining with my friend her sister, my partner and myself, The chef came and introduced himself and the meal once again was fabulous After three days my friend felt at home.
My first visit to Butlers Mews and I was very impressed with the facilities, food, friendliness of staff and general feel of the place. My sister seems to like her room but is still 'settling in'. Our private dining experience with 2 friends was lovely and the food, was delicious.
It has been a huge relief to all our family to know our mum is in such a comfortable place and being looked after by genuinely caring and professional people, that includes both staff and management. It has made dealing with a difficult time so much less stressful. Thank you!
Given what are fairly distressing circumstances for a loved one, the experience at Butlers Mews Care Home was exceptional. The home itself was kept spotlessly clean, lovely facilities, plenty of activities and generally a very happy atmosphere. Although the above is very important, more importantly, the care is wonderful. I witnessed wonderful attention and affection from young girls given to very elderly residents which was definitely above and beyond basic care. As far as l was concerned, as a very regular visitor, nothing was too much trouble. They frequently laid a table especially for us, in what was the piano room, so that l could join my husband for tea as there obviously wasn't a place for me in the dining room. We were offered the use of equipment and facilities in the hair salon so that my son could do my husband's hair and beard. Finally, the manager and her deputy were a wonderful team, clearly very happy to be working with each other and the atmosphere came from the top.
I spent a 14-day respite in Butlers Mews. The staff, Carers/management were very attentive to my needs. I could not have asked for anymore. This is my second stay at this establishment as I had a 7-day respite here in July 2024 and the carers remembered me and my needs I have Primary Progressive Multiple Scleroses.
I was very worried about my mum going into a home as she has lived with me for many years and is a very nervous lady but she has a lot of respect for all the staff and has made lovely friends. She is still very nervous and doesn't like to be a problem when asking for help. I can sleep at night knowing she's in a great place.
Staff were helpful when we arrived, they were very attentive to my auntie. We were taken to a quiet place to spend time together chatting. When she needed help, it was very easy to get hold of supportive staff to help her back to her room. Her wishes were listened to and the right support was given. When we left, I spoke to staff and someone went back in to sit with her. It was a very friendly and inviting place to be in.
We have visited our longstanding friend in Butlers Mews Care Home for two years. The home has a relaxing, warm and friendly environment. On our recent visit, our friend looked relaxed and happy. The staff are friendly and welcoming.
First time using respite for Nan. Despite her nervousness about going in beforehand, she was instantly put at ease when welcomed by the staff. This is more like a five-star resort than a care home. Nan's health, overall, improved during her stay. Food is a bit "too nice" for the elder generation who have a simpler taste. Staff are always smiling and do their utmost to keep residents engaged and happy.
My mother came for respite care after a serious illness. The staff and managers were extremely caring and friendly both to Mum and to us and other visitors. We always felt welcomed and Mum always felt respected and cared for. The managers and staff related easily to each other and to visitors and residents and clearly took their work seriously yet brought fun and joy to the residents. We are very happy to have spent time at Butlers Mews and would not hesitate to use the home again and recommend to others.
I have come to visit my nan today. She has not been this happy in a long time. What a fabulous place and the staff are absolutely amazing they really are. My whole family totally agree with me on this also. I will fully recommend this beautiful home going forward.
Excellent facilities. Friendly staff. Good care.
Butler's Mews Care Home is a wonderful care home. From the carers, housekeeping, caterers, managers, well-being coordinator to the maintenance man, you are obviously selecting extremely caring staff who make a real effort to connect with residents and visitors. It makes a real difference by creating a welcoming community feel to home. Thank you so much!
All good except food. Advertised as a la carte. But not.
My Mother-in-law is a largely bedbound resident at Butlers Mews. She has been at the care home since February. The carers at all levels have been polite and friendly to my husband and I. To my Mother-in-law they have been professional. I feel she is safe, comfortable, and generally well cared for - what more can we ask? The staff's patience seems boundless.
An excellent care home, with wonderful caring sensitive staff. It has given my mother the support and security she needs and we are all very grateful for the positive attitude of all the people involved in Butlers Mews.
My mother arrived at Butlers Mews Care Home earlier this week after having had a stroke and being given 48 hours. Every single member of staff that we have met in the last few days has been amazing! When it is such a stressful time for relatives, it is so nice to have such patience and understanding when sorting out issues that inevitably arise. The management of Butlers Mews has gone out of their way to make my 93-year-old mother settle as fast as possible whilst ensuring my father, aged 94, is happy too. The assistant managers have answered questions and been ready at hand in a practical way to sort out issues. The care staff are phenomenal people. What a great team! Thank you.
My mum is a resident and I can honestly say Butlers Mews has made a decision we hoped we would never have to make so much easier. Mum has always had the mantra “I'll go into a home over my dead body!” (and meaning it). Having visited many homes and dreading having to discharge her from hospital into any care home, the transition has been just about as perfect as it could be. Not only is the whole place beautiful, immaculate, luxurious and like a 5-star hotel, including wonderful food, but even more importantly the staff we’ve encountered have all been wonderful. Caring, always smiling, it’s like a home from home and everything is so peaceful. They have a brilliant array of activities but also don’t force them on people who don’t want to do them. In the last few weeks, Mum has met alpacas and tiny horses, done crafts and chair exercise classes and seen a great magic show. There are so many things she’s been involved in we never thought she would agree to and she’s loved it!
Our friend, whom we have POA for, spent two weeks at Butlers Mews Care Home over Christmas. The rooms are lovely and on observing staff interacting with residents, they are very caring, therefore we felt confident leaving our friend in their care. We needed a meeting with the manager to chat about future care and she saw us immediately (we were expecting to have to make an appointment) and she was able to answer all our queries. We had previously looked around the home and were very impressed with it.
