View Full Details of Brize Meadow LodgeI have had a good time staying here. Was only for 2 weeks of respite care, but I am going before I can't manage on my own. The staff are very friendly and helpful, it is like a hotel. Could do with different activities some weeks. Needs a few different fillings in sandwiches.
A nice break from the hospital to home. Very enjoyable. The stay has helped me back to my feet.
Accommodation clean and comfortable, like a luxury hotel. Staff all seem professional, caring and helpful. Food seems attractive and looks nutritious and varied. All in all, I am impressed with all aspects and consider it fortunate to have a care home so close to home (approx. 5 miles).
I have used Brize Meadow for respite several times over the last couple of years for my parents who are in their nineties. Due to an infection and their increasing needs they moved in permanently in November 2024, where the staff helped with the transfer of my mum from hospital directly to the home. I have been very grateful for the enormous care that my mum and dad have received throughout this process. They are now settled and content and looked after excellently. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and their commitment to ensuring that their stay is comfortable. As has been mentioned elsewhere, the home is bright and feels like a high class hotel. The atmosphere is calm, comfortable and welcoming and the staff display a genuine affection and care for the residents. Would give 7 stars if I could!
Mother, aged 103 years, stayed for six weeks. We were delighted with the whole standard of care. Facilities, food and cleanliness were excellent. A special mention to staff who went above and beyond. Always cheerful and kind.
Since my mum moved to Brize Meadow Lodge in August this year, the staff could not have done more to support her and our family. The management team have shown patience and flexibility as we continue to navigate our way through securing funding, sharing their knowledge and experience of the systems in place to support us while in the process of selling Mum's house. The management team and carers work tirelessly to establish relationships with residents based on trust and respect. They are always quick to respond when there is an issue and their understanding of and insight into Alzheimer's disease on my mum's behaviour has been invaluable. My mum feels safe and secure at Brize Meadow Lodge and I am confident that she is well cared for by a team that puts the needs of their residents at the heart of all they do.
My mother has been well looked after in the eight months that she has been residing in Brize Meadow Lodge. The staff are wonderful and the management are caring, kind and very approachable. It is more like a family home with a good feeling. My mum likes all the staff, particularly three members of staff. The rooms are fabulous - more like a posh hotel and Mum is so happy to have her own shower.
My mother has been in Brize Meadow Lodge for nearly three months having respite care, prior to us moving her to a retirement apartment. We have been very happy with most aspects of the care home and even my mother, who has always been hard to please, has been unable to find fault. The only area for improvement would be communication. Acknowledgement of emails would have been reassuring and there were times I should have been informed when something had arisen. Would have liked regular care updates and Mum would have appreciated more organised trips from the care home.
I was extremely impressed by this care home on both occasions that I visited a friend who is a resident there. It is a very welcoming environment in terms of the very pleasant decor and furniture. The level of quality of care was excellent as far as I could see. I was amazed that meals are served to visitors at no extra charge - and they are very good too!
Brize Meadow has the feel of a four-star hotel. I knew this was the place for Mum the moment I walked through the doors. There is always a friendly welcome, and the staff and carers could not be more kind and helpful. Mum has said how happy she is there. I have been able to stay for lunch with Mum on occasion, and I know some family visits when tea and cake are being served! There is something happening most days which Mum enjoys, and I am enjoying seeing my mum again as a daughter and not her carer any more.
From pre-respite to the present day, they could not do enough. In fact, have gone above and beyond. The only reason they haven't got 100%, is I can't believe any place could be!
Very pleased with how Dad is looked after, his care is amazing. Perhaps a little more to do is the only thing I could comment on. Well done team and thank you.
Excellent care manager, staff are excellent, friendly and caring. Food great. Good staff.
Having had a distressing experience with a care home where my husband (who has Alzheimer's disease) stayed for respite care, I was reluctant to place him in residential care. My opinion changed when, on the recommendation of one of my husband's carers, my daughter and I visited Brize Meadow Lodge. As soon as we arrived, we had good vibes about it. After one week of respite care, we could see that he was being well looked after. He has now been a permanent resident for 3 months. We are very pleased we made this decision, as he looks well and content in their care.
We just wanted to say a big thank you to the managers and all the other staff who have supported our Grandma to settle into lovely Brize Meadow Lodge recently. We have had a few visits to Brize Meadow to meet with management prior to her moving there and the support and patience they offered really was second to none. Always so welcoming, taking time to listen and offering advice as we needed it. It has been a big step to get to where we are today and we couldn’t have done it without this support. As a family, we are comforted that you will be taking the best care of her, in the beautiful, welcoming home and lovely staff she is surrounded by. She has commented herself on how great and lovely all the staff have been and that nothing is too much trouble. Thank you! Kind Regards.
Can't fault anything about the care home and staff. They are all so friendly and caring. The home is always welcoming and clean - smelling lovely, unlike other homes we visited. Mum is looked after really well and is great at coping with her dementia outbursts.
I would like to thank all the care team at Brize Meadow Lodge Care Home. Mum has now passed (in hospital on 29/10/2023) however prior to her visit, she was supported and cared for by your team. She enjoyed her puzzle and talked of going home to 'Brize'. Some really five-star treatment for Mum (my brother's words). Thank you on behalf of all our family.
Lovely, welcoming home. It feels like a luxury hotel with very friendly staff. A beautiful place to spend your last years.
It is like a hotel. We are well looked after. Staff are all very nice, kind and helpful.
Right from the beginning the level of care given to both my grandad and to us as a family, made a difficult decision a lot easier. The home is immaculate, the staff are fantastic. My grandad has settled in so well and we are very well looked after too when we visit. The food is amazing, activities are plentiful. Laundry is done for them, doctors will visit, hairdresser on site, grounds are well maintained. I cannot thank the amazing team enough for what they do.
