View Full Details of Brookwater House Care HomeBrookwater House is, in my opinion, a 5 star rating home. I visited around 15 homes before choosing this one for my partner & definitely know this was the right decision, The staff are friendly & kin and do everything they can to make the residents feel at home. On the 11th Feb it was my partners 89th birthday & on my request, they organised a birthday party for him and all the residents. We had a beautiful cake & proccesco & a singer to entertain us *organised by me) I visit the home every day, all the staff & residents know me by name and treat me with great respect & kindness and as if I am one of them! Thank you & well done Brookwater House. I love you all!
The homemakers are very kind and helpful. The rooms and the rest of Brookwater House Care Home are always kept clean. Activities are quite varied and adequate, especially the crafts. The chef is very attentive to my requirements and tries very hard to please.
I came to visit my old neighbour at Brookwater House Care Home yesterday. I was so impressed with everything about the home and I left incredibly happy knowing she lives there now! Brookwater House is extremely clean, comfortable and the resident's rooms are well-maintained and spacious. Every staff member we met was friendly, kind and very helpful and you can tell they are all very caring individuals and are all passionate about their role at the home. There are plenty of activities daily which the residents can choose to participate in. I was there for a very lovely celebration of Remembrance Day, followed by some dancing. The surroundings are wonderful, it is next to the New River so it is very peaceful. There is a vegetable garden and my neighbour explained she enjoys living there as there is always lots to do! I can't fault anything about Brookwater House - we were made to feel very welcome and the whole atmosphere and experience were incredibly positive. Thank you!
I think this is an excellent care home and as a retired GP, I have visited former patients in a number of local care homes. It is a bright and cheerful environment and kept immaculately clean. The staff are delightful. There is a nice friendly atmosphere too. Well done all and thank you.
From the day my father entered this care home, he has been looked after in such a high degree with kindness, respect and abundance of love. Because of this, he sleeps and eats so well. Once again, the management and her team are amazing people.
When I first arrived at Brookwater House Care Home it was at the tail end of bad experiences with other care homes. A lack of integrity and quality of care had left our family feeling frustrated and cynical about finding a suitable home for my mother. Brookwater House however has been a revelation in terms of my mother's recovery. The customer relations manager and home manager helped restore our trust and have provided exceptional service for not only my mother but the entire family. Amazing care home!
Brookwater House Care Home is an absolutely stunning care home with great attention to detail. There's always something fun going on, whether it's exercise classes, baking or live music, meaning the residents don't ever get bored. The staff are absolutely lovely! So many friendly and helpful, caring people in one building! It fills me with so much confidence knowing my mum is in such good hands. The building, bedrooms and communal areas are also gorgeous, as are the gardens. I'm delighted with Brookwater, as is my mother. Thank you!
My only concern is the future with climate change - really the care home should have been built with air conditioning - fans were used when necessary in communal areas. I will never forget the kindness, compassion professionalism and respect. I was cared for at a high standard. The food was excellent, they have multiple choices every day. It was nice to have visitors whenever you want. It has a lift, wheelchair access, gardens, bar/café, residents' kitchenette, phone point, television point in own room and residents' internet access. Single Rooms are available, some with lounge for more cost. It is very good for older person care and those with physical disability. I, myself, was recovering from hospital following total knee replacement. The home manager kept the home running very well. An improvement would be if those giving out medicine and therefore, more senior had a name badge showing that and nurses were identified by that on their badges.
I was delighted to discover what a lovely care home my elderly friend is now in. The facilities are wonderful, both decor and atmosphere give an impression of light, space and peacefulness. The staff, whether reception or nursing, seem to be very friendly, polite and caring, always greeting visitors warmly. I have, over many years, visited many care homes, poor and good, but Brookwater House Care Home excels all!
My mother has been a resident here for approximately six weeks. The staff have gone over and above to make her feel welcome and to help her settle. This was not an easy task but their expertise, kindness and consideration have been second to none. As a family, when we wish to discuss issues, the staff are always available and we are listened to. This is important. The staff are all very welcoming to us, as a family, and put our minds at rest. We can relax and be assured that our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother is being taken care of to the highest level. Thank you Brookwater House Care Home!
We sadly lost Dad recently to Alzheimer's. All the staff at Brookwater House were so fantastic. They treated Dad with the utmost kindness and respect. We can never repay this kindness. It meant so much to all of our family. When family and friends visited, we were always made to feel welcome. Even when I took in our little dog for a visit. After Dad's passing, we were treated with compassion and given time to clear his room. We will never forget their kindness, compassion and professionalism. I cannot recommend this facility highly enough.
This is a tough experience for me, with my wife newly resident at Brookwater House as a result of her Alzheimer's dementia. First impressions of seeing the home and meeting the team were very good, so much so that it was easy to make the choice when it came to decision time. It's both positive and constructive to deal with everyone there and know that my wife is receiving the necessary care and attention at an immensely difficult time.
Mum was cared for at such a high standard. All of the staff were kind, caring and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them to do. Mum enjoyed the food as they have multiple choices every day! The facilities were great, and the bedrooms and lounge areas were spotless. The activities provided were wonderful and we had fun taking part in them with my mother and seeing the other residents coming together and having fun too. The management team were always on hand with a smile and very helpful and professional. I would definitely recommend.
The staff at the home have been so lovely and kind to my mum and she has really settled well. The rooms are lovely and it is so nice to be able to visit whenever you want, making it feel homely. The meals are great and it is always warm and comfortable.
Having spent 2 weeks recuperating following knee replacement surgery, my experience was all positive. Staff are very warm, friendly and very prompt to all requests. Very hardworking, kind people. My observation of them with all residents was excellent. I have to thank a few favourites who made me feel very cared for and nurtured.
Brookwater House is a gem of a care home. Setting aside the luxury furnishings, the planning of the care home has been carefully considered to provide safety and security and meet the needs of all residents. The homemakers provide loving care with dignity and respect, are welcoming to all visitors and respond quickly to requests. I have no hesitation in giving this home five stars to recommend it to anyone looking for a loving, luxury home for a loved one for respite or long-term care.
From the first time we walked into Brookwater House, we knew it was the right place for our mum. The home is a lovely, clean, bright environment with friendly and welcoming staff. The staff are very impressed with how caring, compassionate and informative they are. It's lovely for us as a family to know our mum is in safer and caring hands.
The staff are friendly and kind and very helpful. My father-in-law says he likes being here and interacting with the staff (playing chess). Every question we ask is answered straight away or they find out and let us know.
The care my dad has been given is fantastic. He's so happy living at Brookwater. The staff are so kind and friendly, and nothing is too much for them to do. I would recommend to anyone to send their loved ones there.
Always a very good experience. Staff are very helpful and friendly and my friend seems very comfortable and happy here.
