View Full Details of Grappenhall Manor Care CentreI've been residing in Grappenhall Manor Care Centre for 5 days and love everything. Can't fault all of the staff who are kind and caring.
The staff are very caring and pleasant. Needs more activities; different and later (evening).
I cannot fault the overall performance of Grappenhall Manor Care Centre. The staff really care for the residents and go 'above and beyond' and they enjoy what they do. I would not hesitate to recommend Grappenhall Manor Care Centre to anyone who is looking for 'care' or 'nursing care' for their loved ones.
My husband has been a resident for 4 weeks following a fall. His care has been impressive, from the nursing staff, to care workers and everyone involved in his recovery. The food is fantastic and the staff are cheerful and welcoming.
My wife has been a resident of this care centre for the past 15 months. I am and continue to be impressed with all aspects concerning these premises. The building is open and airy, with good views out. The layout is ideal for the services offered. I have great respect for all the management and staff who sometimes have to cope with tragedy and quick changes in the day-to-day running, all with sympathy and a smile. Because of all the above I am very happy to have my wife in this establishment.
My grandma has been on a D2A bed from the hospital here at Grappenhall Manor this January. I couldn't recommend this care home enough, she is thoroughly looked after and cared for by all staff. She feels very impressed by the standards here and enjoys the company of other residents during activities and meal times. We as a family would highly recommend this care centre for future respite or ongoing care if and when needed longer term. Thank you to Grappenhall Manor for all that you do and the smiles you put on people's faces.
I was transferred to Grappenhall Manor Care Centre following orthopaedic surgery and was admitted to the room 106 on the first floor. I am so impressed with this home, beautiful building, thoughtfully laid out, lovely furnishings and decor and large ensuite rooms. I spoke with a cross-section of staff from reception through to a deputy manager and found at all levels of caring staff and hospitality to be wonderful. They provided a high standard of care and the staff are an absolute credit to the home.
My dad was a D2A (discharge to assess) resident in December and decided to return for respite in January while having renovations done to his bathroom, my dad has loved being at Grappenhall Manor, he's especially loved the choice of food. The staff have been amazing and the care he has received from staff has been wonderful, they go above and beyond to make sure residents are looked after.
This is the second time I have used Grappenhall Manor for respite care for my father-in-law. On both occasions, I have been very impressed not only with the dedication and professionalism of the staff but also the facilities on both his floor (2) and in the reception areas. His room was large, comfortable and well-furnished. Bathroom-disabled facilities are excellent. Always a warm welcome on every visit. Always staff on the floor to help and advise. Always able to call and get an immediate answer from the staff on the floor. Always a very prompt response from the home manager, whether by phone call or email. Always a comprehensive entertainment program. Consequently, I have every confidence in the very high standards of care and there is no doubt I will be using these wonderful facilities again.
My mum has been a resident of Grappenhall Manor for three months. She was taken ill on New Year's Day was taken to hospital by ambulance. 15 hours later we were told she could go home but there was no transport. available. We therefore agreed to take her home in our car. As mum has no mobility, it took 3 people to accomplish this. My mum was sick in the car. By the time we got to Grappenhall it was almost midnight and my mum, myself and my husband were all cold, tired and despondent. When we arrived, 2 carers came out to the car and took charge. They got my mum into a wheelchair and into the warmth so quickly and efficiently. We waited and within half an hour we went into my mum's room. She had been washed and was in bed in clean pyjamas and had even had her hair brushed. I could have cried with relief and gratitude. No words can express my gratitude to those carers who helped my mum that night and all the carers who so assiduously look after her day and night. Thank you.
My mother has been a resident at Grappenhall Manor for a year now. Though she has a very active mind, she was finding it difficult living on her own so moved from her home in Oxfordshire to take up residence near me, here in Warrington. As you might imagine, in the beginning, it was an emotional challenge for her but from day one the staff made every effort to help her settle in. Indeed, I was truly heartened the other week when my mother told me that when she is in her room, she doesn't feel she's in a care home at all but rather in her own, comfortable 'home'. I think that's a testament to the team at Grappenhall Manor and the effort they put into providing sensitive, effective and engaging care. What's more, my mother still finds reason to laugh and that's a delight that can't be taken for granted. To everyone at Grappenhall Manor, keep up the excellent work and thank you for taking such good care of my mother.
To all the team at Grapenhall Manor, I hope you all get to read this review. My father spent his final 4 days of his life in your care, after spending over 7 weeks in Warrington hospital. I honestly do not know where to begin, everyone is just the nicest person you could hope to meet, they remember you, they give you a warm hug, they offer you tea and cakes, they treat you, your loved ones and family with the highest of respect and honour. I honestly cannot rate this care home any higher or I would. The manager and her team have got this down to a T! I am so truly grateful that my dad got to be here for his closing chapter and that has brought a lot of peace to me and his wife. Forever thankful to you all, please never change.
My husband was admitted for assessment following discharge from hospital. We were both made welcome from the start and he soon settled in. Any concerns the staff dealt with and the staff kept us updated on his condition. Many thanks to all.
My mother, who has dementia, recently had a 4-week respite at Grapenhall Manor Care home. Throughout her stay, the staff were exceptionally attentive and supportive. They quickly spotted and dealt with a health issue that required antibiotics. The facilities are excellent and spotless at all times. There are a variety of daily activities and the food fresh and varied. I would be very happy for Mum to return here on a more permanent basis in the future.
Lovely experience to bring a little sunshine into someone's life. Great not having a time limit to visiting hours. Friendly staff.
Mum had a short rehab stay at the care centre, but she was well cared for and enjoyed the new, modern facility. As family visitors we were always made to feel welcome and our questions and concerns regarding Mum's health were responded to promptly. Mum's only less positive comment was that when she first arrived and was unable to get out of bed or the chair by herself, her call bell was not always responded to in a timely manner. Overall, thank you for taking care of Mum.
All staff, without fail, are friendly, proffessional, caring, attentive and give the appearance of enjoying their job. All requests are met promptly. The whole facility is spotless and calming which aids recovery.
Mum aged 94 moved into Grappenhall in August 2023 from living in her own home supported by carers. She was mobile and the open setting meant that she could easily navigate between her room to the lounge and dining room and outside. She became frailer and died at the home in March and we couldn’t have asked for a higher standard of professional or personal care for her, or for us as a family. While she was mobile she enjoyed trips out and a wide range of activities in Grappenhall. Mum had a good appetite and enjoyed the meals and the varied choices on the menu. As she became weaker, meals were adapted and the staff were really supportive in ensuring she continued to eat as well as she could. We were kept well informed of any changes, medical or personal, and involved in decision-making - very relevant for those with PoA. All visitors said how welcome they were made. The care and good humour from every staff member helped to make it a special place for us and Mum.
Brilliant! The staff, food (lots of it), and accommodation are just absolutely spot on. Every member of staff I've met has been warm, engaging, approachable, and can't do enough for you. I'm fairly independent so don't take much looking after, however, to see how the staff engages and cares for some of the other residents is heartwarming and has played a big part in my recovery a progress so far. The only problem I've got is that I'll have to leave soon, which I think sums it up. Thank you all.
From the minute Dad arrived, the staff at Grappenhall Manor Care Centre were lovely with him. They were caring/considerate and took time to explain everything he needed to know. Outstanding level of understanding and care.
