View Full Details of Guiseley Manor Care CentreVery happy with my settlement and treatment. The staff are always pleased to help me in all situations. Keep up the good work!
I feel very grateful to be here. I like it here very much, the girls are marvellous, kind and caring. Care is very good and very safe.
Really pleased with the home. Very clean. Friendly staff. My dad has settled in well and enjoys the food.
My wife suffering from advanced Alzheimer's came into Guiseley Manor near the end of July 2024. She can't stand or walk and is in a bed with rails. The staff have been very kind to her and she is always clean and in clean clothes. The food is varied and good and she has a good appetite. Above all, the staff, from management to nurses to carers have treated my wife very well with humour and patience and any problems have been promptly dealt with.
It would be difficult to find a better care home than Guiseley Manor. This was Mum's 3rd care home, having only been assessed for nursing care in late April 2024. We had been recommended Guiseley Manor by Mum's hairdresser based on the quality of the staff there and her judgement proved to be spot on. The level of communication with management was at all times extremely clear and professional. I moved Mum there as soon as possible as she was already deteriorating and the level of care she received was truly remarkable. All of Mum's carers were truly wonderful people Mum always set high standards and here she found what she needed - love, care and compassion. Sadly she didn't live long enough to fully experience this wonderful place but even at the end the love and care she received was outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend Guiseley Manor to anyone who has a loved one in need of care, this is how all care homes should be. I just wish we'd got her there sooner.
All very good! A strong and excellent team of staff led by a very capable manager who all go above and beyond to help both my mum and dad. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Very clean and well decorated and beautiful gardens. Plenty of entertainment and activities going on.
We could not have asked for more. The manager all his staff and carers treated Mum and ourselves with the utmost level of dignity and kindness. They guided and supported us through a difficult time with absolute professionalism. A beautifully designed home with all the comforts; we appreciated being able to personalise Mum's room and were all made to feel 'at home'. We would highly recommend Guiseley Manor.
The service at Guiseley was incredible! The team are very caring and supportive, not just of my mum but the whole family. The food was very good, and the room was like a hotel! Sadly, Mum wasn’t there long before passing, but the team were amazing with their care for her and how they allowed us to be with her 24 hours. Truly wonderful.
I cannot thank the staff at Guiseley Manor enough for the exceptional care they provided my mum during an unbearably difficult time. After several awful weeks in hospital, my mum moved into Guiseley Manor for what we hoped would be a much longer period of time than it turned out to be. The manager takes great care in selecting his staff, and this really pays off, from those in reception through to the carers, chefs and administrative staff - all were truly amazing. Mum was treated with love, dignity and respect 24 hours a day. Towards the end, we took turns to stay with her overnight, and the night staff really were like angels in the night. All the carers were exceptional in their care for Mum and support of us. We were made to feel instantly at home, and all of our requests and needs were met with care and compassion. I wish my mum could have had longer there as I really believe she would have loved it (and she was not keen on going into a home!). Thank you.
One of the most difficult, yet important, decisions is finding the best care home for your loved one. Five months in and I can say that we did that. Greeted with a warm smile on arrival perfectly sets the scene for how lovely this home is. My dad has lots of care needs and is nursed in bed. He is treated with dignity and respect. Although he can't join in many activities due to his health and eyesight, the staff do all they can to keep him engaged and entertained. They also take great care of us and especially my mum, who visits every day. On their 61st wedding anniversary, a lovely meal for two with card and flowers. At Christmas, as Dad couldn't attend the carol service, the choir came and sang in his room. Staff recorded this so we could see Dad was joining in (very thoughtful and moving). Most recently, Valentine's day, Dad's room was bedecked with hearts and flowers (Dad given a rose to hand to Mum) and a lovely afternoon tea for us all to share. We couldn't wish for a better care home.
After having a very stressful time trying to find a nursing care home for Mum, we were told about Guiseley Manor and decided to view it; we were not hopeful; however, the manager showed us around with a high degree of professionalism and an attentive attitude. Since Mum has been with the team, she has settled really well. All the staff have made an extremely stressful time much easier, and we cannot thank them enough - we trust them completely, and this is huge.
From the word go my overall impression of Guiseley Manor was of professionalism coupled with sympathetic treatment. My father has consistently been treated with dignity and helpfulness, as well as understanding, when he has presented difficulties to the staff.
