View Full Details of Moat House Care HomeMy mother has vascular dementia and Alzheimer's so has been in need of extra care and help for many months. Moving my mother into the Moat House Care Home has been an absolutely amazing experience for myself and the family. Everyone from the wonderful manager to the lovely receptionist and the fantastic professional care team has been outstanding. My mother is so happy, relaxed and beautifully cared for and is sleeping well. The food and beverages are tailored to her needs and she is so very happy. Thank you so much.
My husband was in Moat House for two weeks for respite. I was impressed with what I saw at Moat House and felt reassured to leave my husband in their care. His room and en-suite were very nice, clean and well-furnished. Cannot praise its staff enough, very kind, caring and respectful to my husband. There were very nice facilities for visitors, coffee, tea area, private dining facilities. A lovely outside area to relax in.
My sister is so happy moving into the Moat House. Lovely care is given. Never seen her so happy, she loves the staff. The food is so good.
My husband stayed at Moat House for two weeks of respite care. Care it was, the staff are very professional and kind. He settled in immediately. The laundry service, the food, and attention to residents is paramount. I would be happy for him to have respite care again here. Nothing was too much trouble. We also were there for the summer fair which was an excellent day, with many staff on their day off attending - it is a place where all are made to feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you Moat House.
Mum and Dad visited Moat House Care Home for respite care whilst I was on holiday. From the moment Mum and Dad walked through the door they were looked after perfectly. The team of staff including carers, housekeeping and cooks provided all they wanted for their stay. Mum was very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food which was well thought out, balanced and served hot. Mum and Dad joined in a few of the activities but their privacy was respected if they wanted time to themselves in their room. They were so impressed that both Mum and Dad have requested they visit again for; 'all-inclusive' holiday when I go away next time. Thank you to all the staff at Moat House. I went away on holiday knowing Mum and Dad were being well looked after.
Beautiful, fully refurbished care home. You feel like you are entering a hotel. The staff are incredible, always there to help with a smile and have so much time and patience for the residents. My mother is thoroughly spoilt with care and attention, down to the smallest detail. They have regular events and fun activities & the food selection is great, always with tea, coffee & cake on offer. I have no worries that Mum is in the best hands. The home is set on beautiful extensive grounds which my mother particularly enjoys, with pathways through stunning flower beds, trees and around a large pond with a fountain. I am very impressed with everything Moat House has to offer. Thank you to all the team, they are like extended family already.
Great staff, great care home. Staff are great and can’t do enough for the residents. The care home has recently been refurbished and is like new. Great setting as well. Can’t recommend Moat House enough.
Cannot fault any of the services. Lovely surroundings, beautiful furnishings and friendly, kind and happy staff. Perfect. My husband had a very happy respite care whilst I was in hospital, and I had no need to worry about him.
Our family couldn't be more pleased with the care that the Moat House is providing for our 93-year-old mother. Everybody without exception has shown great understanding and compassion. It is like staying in a really good hotel with all her needs taken care of. The building has been recently refurbished and is lovely and clean but the greatest asset is the staff who I can't praise enough. I would wholeheartedly recommend the Moat House to anyone.
My auntie stays here and she has good care, staff were lovely, food ok. The events programme has just started but looks great my auntie keeps talking about it. Nice, clean and cosy for her, like home from home.
On recently visiting a loved one at Moat House, I am so impressed by the care given at the home here, residents and staff all seem lovely. Food looks good, I would recommend and feel happy that everyone is well taken care of as if they are all a big family.
My mum had a lovely respite holiday at the Moat House while I went away for a break. Mum had some concerns before going but the team took great care to explain everything and to find out what she likes including visiting her at home. The staff were friendly, and kind and made Mum feel very welcome. The home smells lovely and feels more hotel than a care home. The facilities include a coffee bar serving proper cappuccinos, a large terrace overlooking beautiful gardens, a hair/beauty salon that could easily be in a posh spa and a library. Mum’s room was new, and beautifully decorated, with an ensuite walk-in shower room, and views over the garden. There were drinks and snacks available at all times and staff catered to my mum’s timetable - no one rushed to get her up for breakfast - she got up when she wanted. The home is new and there aren’t many residents yet but I hope there will be a space available when Mum needs it next.
All the staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, attentive and kind. I feel so assured my grandma is incredibly well taken care of there; she's very happy, comfortable and right at home! It's a lovely place.
I am very happy here, nothing is too much trouble.
The carers are always just caring. I am constantly offered hot drinks and snacks at any time. One or two individuals are not always available, but that is inevitable. I am very deaf and that is taken into account and considered accordingly. Today, for example, my scooter was accommodated and I am sure that was difficult but was done.
I would definitely recommend the Moat House Care Home. All aspects of this wonderful home are excellent. The facilities are first class and the staff are well trained and have cared for my sister in a considerate, caring and loving way.
My closest and dearest friend is in Moat House with severe Dementia. I cannot believe how wonderful this home is and I was amazed on my first visit at how friendly and helpful all the staff are. The constant loving care and attention they give her 24/7, even small personal touches, I am so grateful and relieved. She is happy and content and I would recommend this Care Home to anyone caring for a loved one and who needs that extra helping hand.
I was booked in here before I had even seen the place. My daughter said I would love it here and she was right. It's a lovely atmosphere of comfort and even luxury was there from the start. Nothing is too much trouble and all the staff are very helpful and cheerful, you get the impression they really enjoy working here and helping a lot of old biddies! I love it here and would be happy to die here - but not yet!
Choosing care for a loved one, in our case for my mother, is a very difficult journey at the best of times. However, I knew the moment I visited the Moat House in Great Easton, we would be happy for my mother to move here. Every member of staff without exception has made the transition as easy as possible from the initial enquiry to the day-to-day kindness and friendliness shown by carers and support staff. There is flexibility wherever it is needed and there is no doubt that my mother's needs are prioritised. I was initially concerned that a new facility wouldn't host many activities to stimulate my mother who has Dementia. However, the close-knit 'Moat House' community provides an informal, engaging family atmosphere and I can already see a positive change in her demeanour. My mother has also had a few medical hiccups and the response to these needs has been immediate. I honestly could not have asked for a better welcome for my mother. Thank you to all the Moat House team.
My mother was the first resident at Moat House. She was extremely reluctant to become a resident, albeit for three weeks respite, and she had been living completely independently and found the transition hard. All the staff were aware of this and respected her desire for privacy and to retain as much independence as possible. She was so reassured by the excellent care given by all the staff following a couple of minor medical procedures, she decided to stay an extra week, maybe longer! From when I first made enquiries all the staff have been professional and understanding. The building is beautifully appointed, and the hospitality and food are excellent. I cannot emphasise how friendly, courteous, professional and caring the staff are, and I would recommend Moat House to anyone seeking care.
