View Full Details of Henbrook House Care HomeFirst class care which cannot be faulted. In many respects like a first class hotel The staff are dedicated and clearly enjoy their job. It is a real pleasure to visit and see the joy on the faces of residents.
Mum arrived at Henbrook from hospital when she was bedbound and, at 97 with little chance of that changing. 3 months later, she is up, able to walk short distances and is enjoying life. The exceptional care she has received is a major factor. I can't visit without members of staff telling me of her latest achievement. Thank you all at Henbrook.
Every week, as a childminder we bring a group of children to Henbrook. The children, full of energy and curiosity, engage in various activities with the residents - from simple crafts to interactive games and storytelling sessions. The children and residents have formed a special bond. For the elderly residents, these weekly visits provide social interaction, with a younger generation. Many residents seen smiling, engaging in lighthearted conversations, and even helping the children with certain tasks. For those with more limited mobility, the amazing staff ensured they can still participate by incorporating seated activities or sharing story books with the children. These visits have created a positive, family-like atmosphere at Henbrook House. The residents and children look forward to the visits, it's clear that this initiative is more than just play; it's about fostering connections that bridge generations, providing emotional benefits to both young and old.
I have been coming to Henbrook House as a regular volunteer now for nearly 12 months, and I can honestly say that this is a truly wonderful place. All of the staff I have encountered go above and beyond for the residents and I love our visits. The personal touch at Henbrook House is remarkable, and the staff are always looking to make the experiences for the residents extra special. Well done Henbrook House.
The care for the residents is exceptional, the home itself is the best I've seen and is the reason why I recommended it to a friend who has said the exact same thing. The visitation is great as family are able to visit and join in with daily activities! The activities are incredible and really enhance the residents wellbeing both physically and mentally. I am very happy and content knowing that my family friend is living here with extraordinary care and most importantly she feels safe!
Mum came to live with us following the death of my father and has been with us now for 3 years. My wife requires breaks from caring for mum and we have tried other care home providers and can honestly say that the level of care, the facilities and friendly "can't do enough for you" approach to mums stay is just fantastic. Mum even asked if she could have her 80th birthday at Henbrook House Care Home and then a second birthday when she came home to us. Henbrook said, of course and what, when and how many would you like So mum had her brothers and there children (all in there 50's) on the day of her birthday and then another party on the weekend. Mum has dementia and in her words " the whole of her birthday are such wonderful memories it's just a shame that dad wasn't with her " Thank you all, from the care staff to the kitchen staff and everyone else involved.
My Nan has fairly complex needs and we had had a poor experience at a previous care provider. When we visited Henbrook House Care Home I knew it was the one. It has many lovely touches that should be standard across all care providers to offer a good quality of life, but sadly that is not the case. All the staff are lovely and spent time getting to know my Nan on her arrival - the welcoming flowers in her lovely room was such a lovely touch. The fact that I can visit on my birthday and have a private meal with my Nan has blown me away. Again this should be standard but just isn't. I am so happy that we found Henbrook House and that they were able to accommodate my Nan. I would recommend it - and I might just move in myself.
Where do I start? Henbrook House Care Home has been life changing for us. From the initial visit, the staff are excellent and always there to support you. The entertainment for the residents is outstanding and the team do an exceptional job with a weekly timetable. Henbrook house has an extremely warm welcoming atmosphere where nothing is to much for them. The food is amazing! We feel like it's become our second home. Myself and my mother cannot thank Henbrook house enough for giving my grandma the quality of life she deserves!
My mother went into Henbrook House Care Home for respite care in October 2024 and has been there ever since as she liked it so much. The staff are very attentive and Mother feels well cared for. The activities and the activity manager are excellent, putting so much effort into entertaining. My Mother is always getting involved. Any suggestions are acted upon and used as an avenue for further residents to get involved. The food is a high standard and all of the staff are friendly and work hard. The maintenance manager acts on issues very promptly and professionally. I am so pleased that Mum went into Henbrook House. I highly recommend it.
Henbrook House Care Home always go above and beyond with regard to their service, the staff are always pleasant and helpful. The staff care for the residents with compassion and personal touches, from the moment you enter to visit, you feel like you are in a high quality hotel, the food is first rate and always looks good. The cleanliness is also very good, the leader of the activities is always on the go engaging with the residents. I am so pleased that my mother resides here, I am comfortable in the knowledge she is well looked after.
Dad has been in Henbrook House since the summer and has received excellent levels of care. The staff are all really helpful and friendly, the facilities (including a cinema!) are first class and the food is fantastic. I would not hesitate to recommend Henbrook House to anyone looking for a care home.
Perfection. Couldn't ask for more from a care home. From the initial tour to day to day care, this is the best. Excellent management team, carers, bistro staff, reception, and super entertainment on offer. I like it so much that I spend most of my time there too.
From the moment we walked into Henbrook House to look around we felt so welcomed. All the staff go above and beyond to make sure their residents and the families feel comfortable and have everything they need. There are always activities going on for the residents and everyone is included. Truly is a wonderful care home. We can't thank the team enough for their support these last few months.
My mum went to Henbrook House for respite for a week after trialling another home which was unsuccessful! Mum has got Vascular dementia and the care that she received was outstanding. The staff and super friendly and great fun which really helped, nothing was too much trouble and was actioned straight away. The activities and trips out were fantastic as my mum loves to be kept busy. The food is outstanding with great choice and quality, Mum really enjoyed it. Mum also has had a lovely facial and shampoo and blow-dry. We never imagined having to put Mum in for respite but this home made the whole process so much less painful and really felt like she was getting the care that she deserves. Thank you so much, she will definitely be coming back soon to see you all.
The home itself is beautiful, modern, and welcoming. The facilities which include the cinema and spa are an added bonus! As a visitor, the staff are so welcoming and we are provided with food, drink and everything needed to make our visits enjoyable. As a resident, the carers meet my father's every need and couldn't be more friendly and helpful to him. All the activities arranged keep the residents both physically and mentally stimulated. I couldn't give this care home higher praise!
The very kind and well-trained staff are doing an excellent job looking after a friend of mine with Alzheimer's. She was given a great deal of assistance moving from her own home which made the transition as smooth and reassuring as possible. There is evidence of good teamwork between the staff and a friendly atmosphere in this beautiful home which is of an extremely high standard. Exactly the kind of place I would wish to live in myself, should the need arise.
My mother has been in Henbrook House for respite care for over three weeks now, she likes it so much she has requested to stay there long-term. The management and staff have been wonderful with her, kind, gentle, and caring. The facilities, food, accommodation, and surroundings are five-star. What a wonderful place, I couldn't wish for a better place for my mother to live.
I couldn't be happier with Henbrook - it's the most amazing place for Mum to live. The staff are so kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble. On Mum's first day they not only looked after her but me too - a particular member of staff who was wonderful and incredibly supportive and said I should feel this was my home as much as Mum's - we were all part of the family. That meant such a lot. Since then I have been blown away by the wonderful activities not just for the residents but for the whole community and the food is just delicious. I've really valued being able to talk to the carer team whenever I needed to, they are on top of Mum's healthcare needs and I know she is safe. I can't recommend Henbrook highly enough.
What a wonderful place with friendly happy staff. Fabulous decor, where every resident's needs are well cared for. Visitors are always welcome, with the Bistro being a great meeting point. The food is of restaurant quality, attractively presented and just the right portion size for my mum who spent 2 weeks in respite care. She was so happy and relaxed there, and is looking forward to her next 'holiday' at Henbrook. Although perhaps more expensive than other care homes in the vicinity, with so much included, together with the level of care, I believe it to be value for money.
My aunt had 2 weeks respite in Henbrook House in June what a place! So lovely, friendly staff very caring and helpful, beautifully set out more like a 5-star hotel food is lovely too. Beauty salon which my aunt enjoyed and cinema room. Trips out and activities for everyone of different abilities. Nothing is too much trouble. My aunt has dementia but she kept going on about how lovely the place was and the people, this obviously made her feel very relaxed and comfortable which was very reassuring for us at how she felt so at home in a different place. I did visit every day as I live nearby, I was made so welcome. Thank you for her lovely stay.
