View Full Details of Rownhams ManorMy mum had a very good experience during a short respite stay. The day after she came back home, she said she wanted to return for good and didn't want to consider other homes because she thought the staff were excellent and she had made friends there. Mum is returning permanently in 2 days. Permanent care is a huge decision as it involves the sale of a family home and parting ways with belongings but mum is positive about the decision and is looking forward to it. The staff and facilities are excellent, and Rownhams Manor is sociable and inviting. All residents seem to be very content.
Staff put on a lovely high tea for my mum (a resident) and my wife. The team were all very welcoming and set things up in a separate room from other residents so that we could talk privately with Mum as she is hard of hearing. Complements to the chef who prepared a tasty spread.
We had a delicious afternoon tea with my mother-in-law. It was thoughtfully served in the Garden Room so we could chat as a family group. The cake stand was beautifully presented and the cakes and scones were very tasty! Thank you to the chef and staff.
Rownhams Manor is a fantastic care home and its ethos of resident-centric care has meant Dad has settled in quickly, despite never wanting to end up in a care home. The food is amazing and he now looks really healthy, I don't think he is going to have any issues getting to at least 100 with the care he is getting. The atmosphere when you walk in is lively, the staff are all very friendly and you can visit whenever you like, so it means I can pop in after work. All in all, Rownhams Manor is the best care home I've seen in the area, and it is a relief to know he's in a home where he's happy and well cared for.
I've found my experience welcoming and relaxed and the staff are very helpful and caring with my Father. Good to have quality time with my Father and have a meal. 10/10.
I find Rownhams Manor wonderful. From day one I couldn't ask for any more than the staff are already providing for my parents. The facilities are more than a five-star hotel. Food is exceptional as I have personally had some meals at the Care Home myself. We are always welcomed at front door from the staff. We are well informed on my parents' health and well-being. All the residents are also just as nice and I cannot fault the home.
Rownhams Manor is a fantastic care home. From the moment we first visited we knew my mum would be very happy here. Like many people she was very nervous about such a big change in her life but all the staff have welcomed her with open arms, she has settled in very well and has made some good new friends. The bedrooms and lounge areas are lovely and mum loves sitting outside in the garden, watching what's going on and chatting with staff, other residents and their visitors. She also enjoys watching movies in the cinema room. Most important of all, it's the fantastic staff that make Rownhams Manor such a great place, everyone is so kind, helpful and caring. Highly recommended.
I visit a friend quite often and I find the service excellent and very good. Everybody who works there, is very helpful.
I cannot praise and thank ALL the staff at Rownhams Manor enough. Their care, friendliness, compassion, understanding and professionalism are outstanding. They treat both residents and their families with respect and are always available to chat through any situation. The property is beautiful and more like a hotel than a care home. 5 stars from us.
My mother came in on a month trial in July with a view to a long time stay, she very quickly became used to her surroundings and has settled in well. Now a full-time resident she enjoys all activities laid on, thinks food is good and loves her weekly trip to the hairdresser.
We always find the care home to be clean and tidy and the food is first-class. The staff are friendly, polite and approachable and are always available/willing to chat things through. Mum has settled in well and made some new friends. Would highly recommend it.
I visited my friend who has just moved into Rownhams Manor. I was impressed by the building and the facilities. The staff are lovely and very positive about the care home. At the moment the ratio of staff to residents is very high because the home is very new and has not filled up yet. My friend is very positive about the food. It is too early for me to judge how it will be when there are more residents.
