View Full Details of Furze Field ManorJust so grateful to get my sister back. She is stimulated comfortable and happy. Thank you all so much.
Lovely environment and quality staff and have been very accommodating towards the specific requirements including allowing home effects. Also visiting is easy as free parking. Would recommend it to others needing a care home.
After 53 years of marriage, the need to place my husband in a care home had to be faced. From the moment I walked into Furze Field Manor I knew this was where I wanted him to be. The warm and welcoming way I was met was a clear indication of the care, dignity, respect, and support I was looking for. The Management of the Home is excellent and they and all their wonderful team are like an extended family to not only my husband but to also to our family. Their care, time and understanding is never rushed. The choice of delicious and nutritious food is served in first class dining areas, with attention paid to residents dietary needs. I cannot find appropriate words to rate the Home and the staff highly enough, but what I can say is if my beloved husband cannot be with me, this is where I am happy he is. Thank you to all at Furze Field.
I looked at many care homes for my 97 year old grandmother and Furze Field Manor was by far the nicest. My grandmother was not looking forward to the move at all but has surprised us all by immediately settling in and reports that she loves it there. I think this is due to the wonderful facilities and food but more importantly the staff. They take the time to update me on how she is doing and address any of my queries very quickly. They are very kind and engaged with the residents. It's good to see the same staff members regularly. The management team have been delightful to deal with and the whole process has been very easy. The Memory Clinic nurse couldn't say enough nice things about Furze Field Manor, not just the facilities but that she spotted staff spending time with and engaging with residents which is so helpful. I would highly recommend.
Very comfortable and modern with excellent friendly staff.
Mum moved to Furze Field after a very frustrating time at another (much older) care home. We are very happy with our decision. The staff are all very engaged with the residents and their families: helpful, professional, and above all genuinely caring. The quality of the food is exceptional. All of the support activities (housework, laundry, IT etc.) are carried out smoothly and effectively as part of the running of a friendly home. Communication from the managers and care staff of the home has been diligent, timely, and proactive: I have not had to spend any time chasing things up. I feel that my mother is safe and well looked after by people who care about her as a person.
My dad initially stayed at Furze Field Manor for respite care. A sudden further change meant he required full time care and our immediate choice was Furze Field. I'm full of praise for the way the home is run and for the staff that work there. The home is clean and welcoming and the food is brilliant! The staff are kind, friendly, caring, respectful and thoughtful and always professional. The last few months have been incredibly hard for us as a family and we have all been supported in varying ways by Furze Field. We could not have asked for more, as Furze Field is like home from home. Even my teenage sons look forward to a welcoming environment where they can spend time with their granddad. We have been able to enjoy time as a whole family, having a delicious lunch with my father. I can honestly say many of the staff who look after my dad have become friends who I trust and respect. Thank you to all at Furze Field for bringing some light and kindness to us at a very tough time.
I booked my mum in for respite care for 10 days whilst I was away on holiday. She enjoyed the support and care of the kind staff, made friends with the other residents and meal times were a highlight. Mum left here to more happy and relaxed person. Thank you.
My husband has just returned from a 2 week respite stay at Furze Field Manor. His illness means that his condition is erratic and he sometimes has significant mobility problems and, increasingly, confusion. He needs medication every 3 to 4 hours day and night. But the staff at this home managed to cope with this and support him with great kindness, good will and patience. The whole team in every department is doing a great job. Being a brand new purpose-built home, it has excellent facilities and the interiors are calm, spacious, comfortable and beautifully designed. Special mention to the chef and his team. The menu was interesting, healthy, varied and beautifully served. I think we are lucky to have Furze Field Manor close by. Thank you to everyone.
Very pleased with the care given to my wife during her two-week respite. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The home is kept very well and clean. Food and restaurant are very good. Good menu. Amazing staff. Hope to be back soon.
My Mum initially agreed to a trial respite stay at Furze Field as a backup plan for her care when it became necessary. Within two weeks my Mum looked happier and healthier than I have seen for some time and she could not speak highly enough of the home and especially the staff, and the food! Mum then asked if she could remain there permanently rather than return to her home where she lived alone as she realised her needs could be much better met by remaining there. The home itself is beautifully decorated and furnished with so much careful attention to detail and there are various activities available to residents. I have nothing but praise for the wonderful care team at Furze Field who have shown my Mum nothing but kindness and care since she moved in whilst supporting her both practically and emotionally to remain as independent as she possibly can. All this alongside an incredible menu every day makes for a very happy Mum and a very happy and grateful daughter. Thank you all!
Called Furze Field Manor in a panic to try and find onward respite care for Mum who was in hospital and following recommendations from her current carers at home. Very friendly and efficient process of being able to view the home, assess her in the hospital and arrival at the home. Beautiful place with wonderful staff. Had a few teething issues as everything so new and mum not the easiest but everything was sorted quickly and efficiently. Food wonderful and she is beginning to look so much better after just a few days.
My mother moved into Furze Field Manor for respite following a period of illness. We chose this home, for its peaceful setting, cleanliness and for its immaculate purpose-built design. After 14 days of respite, we experienced a complete transformation in my mother's well-being. The facilities, atmosphere and commitment by the carers are second to none. My mother felt secure in this environment and quickly gained the strength to find her confidence again. I cannot speak more highly about the professional way this home is run. The staff engage fully with their residents, using humour and positivity as a tool for rehabilitation. My mother left the home a happier, healthier person all thanks to the care she received. The food provided by the Chef also deserves a special mention. Thank you to the Management and the Care Team for making my mother's stay so enriching.
A wonderful life-saving experience for my wife. Without the help of all the Staff at Furze Field Manor and the care and attention she received her recovery would have been difficult and prolonged. The whole ambience of Furze Field was so very welcoming with beautifully crafted lights and furnishings but none of this would have mattered without the constant care and attention provided by all the Staff to their residents. That was what, more than anything, made Furze Field so special.
We viewed the care home just after they officially opened, in the view of Mum staying for a couple of weeks respite. From start to finish the staff are very professional and will work with your loved one and family to tailor make care plans to meet individual needs. Mum enjoyed her stay here, in the comfortable surroundings. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend Furze Field Manor whether you're looking for short or long-term care, which feels like home from home. Thank you again, team.
My aunt was very hesitant about coming into the home for respite care however from setting foot through the door everyone was so lovely and welcoming putting all her fears at rest. All of the carers have encouraged her, calmed her and supported her in all of her needs. Thank you for a great time, we would highly recommend the home.
Mum entered this care home after a short stay in hospital. We had previously viewed the home with her before they were officially opened. The facilities here are new and the standard is excellent. Unfortunately mum was only here for a short time as she passed away, but whilst there the staff cared for her wonderfully, helping her with her meals and including her in activities where possible. I would highly recommend this home.
If you are looking for a care home in the South East this is a must-see. It is brand new, purpose-built and in immaculate condition. All of the staff are extremely competent, and compassionate and clearly enjoy working at Furze Field Manor. Despite my father-in-law initially being reluctant to give up independent living, he was very quickly won over by the facilities and atmosphere of this care home. Not to mention the amazing chef who prepares restaurant-quality food each day. It is set within the Sayers Meadow housing estate, in a lovely, small village with a local church, pub and shop. Do go and visit, you won't be disappointed.
