View Full Details of The Bridge Care HomeExcellent staff who care about residents. My father was welcomed from the start, with a person centred plan from day 1. The food was impressive and adapted to meet dad's particular needs. The activities were great eg theatre visits and visits from local groups. staff worked as a team and all staff had basic care training, including reception and kitchen staff. The standard of hygiene was impeccable. The personal care was kind and respectful, doing things with dad rather to him. The management team are determined to provide an exemplary service. The administration was slightly concerning but issues were rectified with the promise to learn from the error. When dad became very ill with a rapid deterioration in his health, they kept in good contact with the hospital and showed dad and us love and kindness. They gave up a room for free so that we could stay with dad, even providing a put you up bed to be alongside him in his last hours. I recommend the Bridge Care Home unreservedly.
Absolutely amazing experience. My mum was happy, content, relaxed and safe. There was so much to do activities-wise, the food was fantastic. Staff and management were so helpful. Thank you so much, we will be back.
My wife and I stayed at The Bridge Care home for four weeks of respite care. We both thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend The Bridge Care Home to all.
Firstly I would like to thank all the staff at the bridge care home from the administration team, reception ,management , carers along with the ladies who make your tea and coffee when you arrive , plus the chef who I have been told by mum the food is tasty . The home , I can only describe is run like a well oiled clock . Perfect in my view with such lovely staff , nothing is too much trouble for them , so welcoming. It's a little gem of a place and my mum comes in on respite regularly and has been so happy and is also extremely happy to go back on respite again which is always a good sign , she has made friends and has a special friendship with one of the residents. My mum came home from this home so much better than when she went in , her mind , her speech everything she was happy . I am happy to leave my for her respite here and peace of mind she is looked after . I only ask one thing , please don't change and STAFF please don't leave . Well done !!
We went to view this home after having a bad experience elsewhere. I wasn't sure what too expect reading reviews it looked too good to be true. But wow! This home is amazing, it doesn't feel like a home it's first class care, making the residence and family feel like they are at a hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spotless, and cleaned everyday. They welcome family to eat with there loved ones every day if wanted. The food is amazing, they have so many activities each day and lots of trips each week. They have entertainment weekly where they welcome residence friends and family to join in. All staff are so helpful and tentative to residence. I highly recommend. It's the best move I made for my mum.
I stayed at the Bridge for a second time and was very pleased to see that the level of service had not decreased. The service is beyond anybody's expectation. This care home would be my choice above all others if I needed to stay as a resident for a long time. There are so many things on offer that include any, or all of, the residents, with plenty of different activities and outings. The standard of the building, it's gardens, rooms and meals are outstanding. The way that I was treated relieved me of the fear that I have had if I need to have long stays. I have visited 5 other care homes and found that the basic price for a week is £1650 and were very wanting. The price of staying for 7 nights at The Bridge was £1950. I could not believe what you actually get at this care home for that price was a brilliant surprise. I found this care home by chance. Every member of staff were experienced, respectful, kind, caring and genuine. I would look forward to the next time that I stay.
I'm so over the moon that mum has really, really enjoyed her stays at The Bridge Care Home. Everytime I tell her I've booked her some restbite, she lights up with a huge smile and really looks forward to going there. They're so amazing at the home, so much so, that I can honestly say that I can go away on my own little trip and not have a single worry. They bath mum, wash and style her hair and do her nails and she feels and looks radiant and renewed; especially as it's far easier for her to do so in one place and with more help than just what I can provide at home in-between times. I've even been invited to eat with mum when I take her there and pick her up - I make a day of it, as I also love to see the staff and eat with mum's friends, the other residents. It's like a dream there. I never imagined there was such a care home...until The Bridge Care Home. I'm ever so grateful to the staff and I just hope they know that I really do mean that.
The Administration Manager was very responsive at last-minute request for accommodation - same day. The support driver was very caring and compassionate in transporting me from my hospital stay down to The Bridge. The carers were very supportive of my disability needs and bed responses to hospital - prescribed medication, taking time to take care of me as a priority. The chef was very accommodating in light of allergy to eggs and dietary choices (no pork products). Overall, the experience was great in spite of my limited mobility. Only one failure - I would have welcomed in house physio. Thanks for all the care and compassion and support.
We've been blown away by the level of care at The Bridge Care Home. So much has gone into making it a 5 star experience. The manager is fantastic and the activities are brilliant - they really lift dad's time as they are so frequent and fun. The friendly homely care and attention to detail makes me feel dad is in really safe hands. They go out of their way to communicate with family and do all they can to support. They have such energy and enthusiasm there. Thoroughly recommend.
A wonderful environment in which to find one's way back to good health.
I attended the The Bridge for two weeks respite care following major surgery. The level of care, friendliness and professionalism was outstanding. It is clear that senior management set the agenda that all residents are treated as if they were a favourite family member, and this cascades down through all the staff irrespective of if they are carers, cleaners, chefs or maintenance. Visitors are also treated like royalty with nothing too much trouble and refreshments and snacks are available at all times. I can't speak highly enough about the staff or the facilities which are superb. I would strongly recommend The Bridge Care Home and would have no hesitation returning or recommending to my family and friends.
All staff have welcomed my mum into The Bridge family to which we are all thankful for. The care she is receiving is outstanding, from personal care and well-being to ensuring her diet is well catered for and a comprehensive entertainment programme to keep her both physically and mentally active. Although she's not been there long, we have seen an improvement in both her physical and mental health. In addition to all this The Bridge is welcoming to all the resident's family, there is always a friendly face, a cup of coffee (or something stronger!) and something to eat!
The Bridge is nearing its first anniversary and it has been an amazing year. My mum has received first-class care and in a first-class home. Her family have been able to enjoy with her some of the many events and social occasions and, in particular, attended Buckingham Palace with her and the team - a priceless memory. The Bridge offers exemplary services and I couldn't have wished for anything more.
The personal care my dad received on 8 January was exceptional, when being discharged from hospital, a member of staff came to collect him. This meant that Dad didn't have to wait hours on a trolley in a chilly makeshift ward for transport back to The Bridge Care Home. It also meant that we could start our journey back to Oxfordshire knowing dad was safe. Then on our visit on 11th January, I witnessed the most dignified personal care, when Dad needed support in the bathroom. The staff member, was kind, patient, reassuring, not only to Dad but to myself. On both occasions, it felt that the care wasn't just for Dad, but also for myself, which is so reassuring to know Dad is receiving the best possible professional care, even when he is being difficult. Thank you to all of the team.
My Mother moved in October from another care home in Salisbury. After not a very good experience we were very worried history would repeat itself, however, Mum being at The Bridge has given Mum a new lease of life. The home is an excellent place for Mum, the staff are friendly and helpful and always smiling and happy, as a family we are very happy with the choice we made and hope Mum enjoys many more years to come.
I think the staff are amazing. They go out of their way to help. My aunt is very happy and well looked after. Every time we come to see my aunt we are treated as part of the family. There are so many things my aunt can do (arts and crafts). They also take them on outings.
Very impressed with all the staff at the home in their varied duties from management to cleaning staff. The home is well organised, clean and clearly signposted to the various facilities and rooms. Have eaten there twice and food/service have been excellent. All the staff are considerate, caring and informative.
My cousin moved in at very very short notice. My cousin was made welcome. Moving happened quicker than we thought. It was not a problem for the staff, everything was sorted with no problems. The staff are excellent and the care has been amazing. They have helped my cousin settle in. The rooms are lovely. The residents are great, they all get on well. Their families take notice of the residents and talk to them. So your loved ones are not left with no one to talk to. It's so friendly, the carers are brilliant with the residents. We were so lucky to find this home. I now have my sister and cousin both in there and happy. Thank you to everyone.
I came for a fine dining experience, the deputy manager met us on arrival, she was very nice, and the bar manager and waitress could not do enough for us. The food was amazing.
The team at The Bridge has shown my mother great compassion. Their experience with dementia sufferers has been crucial to improving her wellbeing. We feel relief that she is safe and being cared for by such an excellent team - from the managers to the carers to the staff in the bistro, on reception and behind the scenes. Communication with family is always forthcoming. The activities offered are wonderful. The Bridge team truly understands community.
