View Full Details of Barchester Iris CourtMum's time here was shorter than we would have liked. The staff were amazing from start to finish. She came in difficult circumstances and at short notice. The management were extremely helpful. Mum adored the care staff who were always so kind and patient. The food and coffee were amazing! Thank you so much!
This was my first visit to Barchester Iris Court. I was very impressed with everything I saw from the moment I got there. The rooms were immaculate, the staff were friendly and extremely attentive. As somebody who has worked in nursing homes, locally, for 17 years I can justly say this is the best I have seen. Congratulations to the owners and staff.
Can't recommend Iris Court enough. The team and management are so kind and attentive to everyone's needs. The accommodation and grounds are truly stunning. The attention to detail and accommodation of food preferences are second to none. The activities team are amazing and work tirelessly every day to organise activities that the residents enjoy.
From the moment nan moved into Barchester Iris Court, I was immediately impressed with the staff and facilities. Every member of staff is always warm, welcoming and genuinely cares about each and every resident. As someone who was always adamant that they wouldn't move into a care facility, nan has settled in better than I could have hoped or imagined and I think that in itself is a testament to the staff and level of care delivered at Iris Court. Nan even refers to Iris Court as home now! I have already recommended Iris Court to those looking for a care facility for themselves or a loved one and will continue to do so in the future.
My father could not have been cared for better. He was encouraged to join in the many activities that they put on. Medical care could not have been better. General care could not have been better. General care could not have been better. Personal care could not have been better. In the time he was there, he considered it his home. As a visitor any time of day, coffee and cake always available on tap. Overall a dignified, safe and balanced way for my father to be cared for and we as a family never had to worry about him in anyway.
My mum has been at Iris Court Carehome since the beginning of July and all the staff have been wonderful. The attention to detail is 100%. I can already see that my Mum is in better shape after just the few weeks of being at Iris Court. They are so kind, caring, super efficient and a very happy passionate team and peace of mind for me that Mum is being given exceptional care. Thank you to all the Team at Iris Court.
Mother-in-law has only been in Barchester Iris Court a short time as she was moved from another care home. Despite only being here a short time, her well-being seems to be much improved, which I can only put down to the wonderful care and support she is receiving. Keep up the good work and thanks for your kind support from all members of staff.
Barchester Iris Court has welcomed my mother with open arms. My mother, who has Alzheimer's, was nervous about coming but she has settled in and has made friends with some of the other residents. Mum was unable to live alone and now she has more than just new friendships, she is busy every day rather than just sitting on her own at home. The activities program is varied and they cater according to the residents' suggestions. They also prompt the residents to join in each time. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and they all get to know the family who visits too. The food is good and there is a variety of dishes, the main being at lunchtime. Any time I have had a worry about Mum (which is to be expected at the beginning) I have been listened to and the carers have offered feedback on her progress.
On arrival, my first impressions were an outstanding building and beautiful gardens. The staff are friendly and helped us to realise our mother would be well looked after. This is her third day and are well impressed with her continuing progress.
In about three months I have learned to enjoy this home as my calm, happy home and building on things learnt and planned to wider fellow residents.
Beautiful location, very restful and peaceful with first-class facilities. Staff are all very friendly and various activities to do.
The first impression is of warm, pleasant atmosphere. Staff are very able and there is a constant buzz of happy movement and plenty of sport, in a chair as well. Altogether, a pretty swimmingly, active, pleasant place, super garden, of course, very accessible - with rooms garden doors.
Early days and a great start to my mum's stay. Everyone is very kind and Mim is enjoying the food. Beautiful accommodation too.
The words that come to mind are 'home from home' and it can be summed up by 'tasteful'. As the resident's friend, I couldn't be more pleased to see my friend so happy and relaxed and putting on weight! Thank you so much. My friend regards the staff as her friends.
From the first time I visited Barchester Iris Court, along with other members of our family when we were considering various options, it was immediately clear that this care home would be perfect for my mum to move into and reside there in comfort and peace. Once I and the family had shown Mum the details of Iris Court (including numerous photographs of the general and specific facilities on offer), she was very enthusiastic about going there and taking up residence. And it wasn't long after moving in that Mum stated that 'here was her new home' as she had immediately taken to the members of staff who, without exception, welcomed her into 'their home'. In visiting to see Mum over her time at her new home, I and the family, together with her friends, have seen a remarkable improvement in her health, well-being and general demeanour. Long may it continue and many thanks to all the extremely friendly and considerate staff at Iris Court for making Mum and I so welcome. Utterly amazing all round!
Outstanding care home. A very nervous time for us as a family but all staff members at Iris Court have made our whole family feel comfortable and at ease. The decor is beautiful, the food is a top range and the staff is pleasant, compassionate, and welcoming. We are so glad to have chosen this home to place our Nan. Highly recommended if you are looking for a home-from-home setting for a loved one.
I visited my friend in this home recently and was amazed by the facilities. The home is nestled in a quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of the traffic. Staff are very caring and helpful. Excellent food service for the residents. Rooms are very clean, spacious and value for money. Garden and outside areas are spacious and safer for the elderly with lots of sunny areas. Plenty of activities for the residents and visiting family and friends. Overall very good home and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a safe short-term or residential stay.
Found all the staff friendly and can't do enough for you. Lots to do for my mum. Good food. Nice to go and visit, always made to feel welcome.
I visited my aunt today, the staff were extremely welcoming, I was offered cake and coffee on arrival. The home is immaculate and is more like a five-star hotel. My aunt is very happy and says all of the staff are very helpful and that the meals are lovely, she said that she never wants to leave. This has made a distressing time more bearable for myself and my family. Thank you.
Simply put, Iris Court is a superb new care home. My Mum needs more care than is possible at her home. Until now she has had no desire to move to a care home but after less than two weeks in Iris Court, she surprised me by saying that this is now my home and her house should be sold! This is all due to the exceptional care provided by absolutely everyone at Iris Court, the quality of the accommodation, the first-class meals and the utterly relaxing environment for residents and visitors. The whole team make everyone feel so welcome; it makes us feel like we are joining a large family and totally happy that Mum is enjoying the best of care. It is as good for me and my family as it is for Mum, something I had not expected. Brilliant!
