View Full Details of Leighton Rose Care HomeWhile on respite care I have spent the last 2 1/2 weeks in Leighton Rose where I have been made welcome by all the staff. The home is well designed and spacious. My room was large and comfortable with the wet room which is far easier to use than a shower. Food is OK but could be better. I would like to thank all the staff for the care and attention I have had.
Since my time here I have been made welcome both by staff & residents. Food main criticism special diets are kidney dialysis & diabetes. Chef has been given lists food needs to be more attractive by sauces & condiments on the table appropriate to the meat, fish. Activities I have welcomed within my abilities, others have refused to take part. Some staff are not easy to understand.
My grandmother initially went to Leighton Rose Care Home on respite but has since decided to remain permanently, as she has enjoyed her experience so much. She raves about the food, the staff, the laundry service, the activities, and the proximity to town. The staff are very responsive and professional. It's brought our family such peace of mind knowing that she is safe but, most importantly, happy.
Leighton Rose is such a beautiful new care home. My mother has always had trouble settling in new surroundings but I cannot fault the staff for making her so welcome. All her needs are provided for and it is such a relief to know she has the best care possible.
From the first moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome and confident that Leighton Rose was the right place for my husband. He is bedridden and requires lots of nursing care. This is always given by lovely caring staff. The meals look amazing. Thank you all for your care.
My dad moved from the hospital to Leighton Rose for Nursing Care (end of life) in late October. He has complicated health needs and the team at Leighton Rose are doing a great job looking after him. I am very impressed with the care that has been provided.
Leighton Rose is a recently opened care home. The management team is 'at pains' to ensure they have high 'visibility' and are always easily approachable to discuss any issues regarding the care provided. They excel at ensuring a high level of service and providing a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The 'first line' care staff in daily contact with the residents are always very kind, helpful, and very sympathetic to the needs of the residents. The attention to detail by the medical team regarding the 'admin' and dispensing of drugs cannot be faulted and one can be confident that this important feature of the care in under complete control.
Having recently moved both my uncle and auntie into Leighton Rose I cannot stress enough how happy and content I am. Every need has been met by a team of experienced, talented and caring professionals. The rooms are bright and spacious with an ensuite wetroom. All the hallways have furniture where residents can take a rest whilst walking. The dementia unit has 'stops' along the hallway, allowing residents to stop, rummage and amuse themselves in each area. Eating issues with my aunt have been dealt with sympathetically, discussing with her suitable ideas. Visiting is at any time, making it very useful for family members to visit even during meal times. Call in and have a coffee in the bistro, look at the bedrooms, lounges, cinema, salon, gym, craft room, library and not forgetting the local tavern, yes there really is a pub! The activities are building up as more residents move in. Every member of the staff gives 100%! Leighton Rose is not just a care home, it is a family!
