View Full Details of Joseph LodgeMy mother, who is almost 100 years young, has been a resident in the home for a few months now. When we came to view the home, we were met with smiles and courtesy by all the wonderful staff who gave as a complete tour. The staff are kind and caring and my mother always tells me how kind they are. Her room is both spacious, tidy and clean. Every time we visit her, which is several times a week, mum is always dressed with matching and coordinating clothes, not dressed in just anything will do. She is always clean and tidy. We always get offered a cup of tea which is nice. This is the third home mum has been in, the other two closed down, and it was a big shock for a lady of this age to comprehend what was happening but the staff were amazing and made her feel so welcome. A wonderful home for anyone needing or looking for the best in care and comfort.
A fabulous, warm, welcoming home, with lovely staff and spacious accommodation. Mum's been there several weeks now and is very settled. The staff are obviously dedicated to residents which was clear from the moment we first walked in, randomly, and met one of the supervisors - given we arrived unannounced it was an absolute pleasure to be treated so well from the get go. There are comfy seats, private areas, a large dining table and plenty of space for families to visit their loved ones. Food is well presented, laundry done in-house and all is carried out with professionalism and a positive attitude - a testament to the excellent caring and thoughtful. The staff member who owns the home and takes an active role in its daily running. Thoroughly recommend.
My mum moved here a few weeks ago. She is bed bound so we were a little concerned that she may feel isolated. She is flourishing, when I saw her on Sunday she was very chatty and said she was very comfortable and the staff are lovely. We are really pleased with the care she is getting and the staff are professional, caring and kind. Mum is doing well here.
The resident I visited with my friend was content and cheerful. However we had asked directions as no name was displayed near the road. The entrance was clearly marked and we were greeted quickly and in a friendly manner. Chairs skid a bit on the floor, as you get up the chair seems to slide back. No drink offered but I have confidence if we needed water a carer would have brought a glass. We were only talking to our friend for 40 minutes or so.
Mum arrived at Joseph Lodge for respite care after 4 weeks in hospital, following a fall, resulting in a broken leg. Mum already had some minor mobility issues but was happy and coping well at home with family support for the usual bathing, meals, medication, shopping, etc. After 3 weeks at Joseph Lodge, now with greater mobility issues due to the accident, it became obvious that mum was not going to cope at home even with a care package in place. From day one, the manager and the team at Joseph Lodge have been helpful, understanding, caring and compassionate, to both mum and family, with nothing being too much trouble. Looking forward, we are very happy for mum to stay permanently now, with 24 hour care being key, with good food, nice room, a happy, friendly, safe and secure environment and she is settled and happy too. Joseph Lodge has been refurbished by its new owners to high standard, being clean, tidy and spacious, with a dedicated team on hand, easy parking, we wish them well.
My Mum went to Joseph Lodge on 12th August from hospital as unable to care for herself any longer. The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. They keep me informed and give a comprehensive update whenever myself or family visit. The home has recently opened after refurbishment and is very clean and the decor is pleasing. At present activities, hair salons, etc are yet to be introduced as they are still filling up with residents.
