My father was here for respite stay and we couldn't have been happier with his care. Every member of staff we encountered was kind and attentive to Dad. His dietary choices were catered to, and this meant he managed to put on 1kg in a fortnight, which was much needed. He returned home, fitter, and mentally brighter, and more engaged. Dad had a health issue while staying with them and they dealt with it quickly and efficiently. The place is newly refurbished, the rooms modest sized, with plenty of storage, en-suite toilet and sink and lovely big TVs. After the refurbishment, and reopening by Applewood, it felt like a bit of a gamble because they had not had any CQC assessments but I was impressed by the management team, and what felt like a gamble really paid off, and we will happily use them again for future respite.
