Very few properly trained staff, unable to adequately handle someone
able-bodied and not profoundly disabled. Despite one-to-one carers
(provided separately) still cut respite short by asking for
"customer" (their term for clients) to be picked up.
Struggling with my own mental health because the "help" isn't
up to the job. Run like an old folks home with zero stimulation. The
highlight of the day is watching TV in the communal living room. My son
hates going because he's bored to tears. Feel guilty having to send him
but I need a break.
