Very underwhelming and poor. First stay for two overnights and the staff
was unable to cope with my son. The manager sat cowering in the office
while her staff were left to explain to me that they thought he’d be
better off somewhere else. Despite having my contact details (and me
telling them expressly that I am always contactable) they decided to not
ask for advice and threw the towel in on his first stay. Became clear
that they were not trained to manage people with mental disorders
(autism) and were very clearly out of their depth. Unfortunately for
us, this means we’ll be left going back to square one trying to find
quality, safe and professional respite provision. Fantastic.
