Our lovely dad was admitted to Chase Park Neuro Centre on Christmas Eve 2024 for end of life care. We had wanted to take dad home from hospital for his remaining days but it was deemed unsafe to do so and we therefore reluctantly agreed for him to go to Chase Park, close to his own home. Our fears were completely unfounded, dad received exceptional medical care from day one. He sadly passed away 6 days later but the quality of care given and the warm, friendly welcome that we, his family, received was truly heartwarming. Dad was treated with the upmost dignity and respect, at times staff were unaware that family had arrived outside his room and we could hear the caring way in which he was spoken to and the gentle manner in which he was approached. This provided us with the greatest reassurance that dad was safe and comfortable amongst people who genuinely cared about him. A huge thank you to every single staff member for your kindness to both dad and the family during a truly difficult time.
My mam came to Chase Park after being cared for in another care home I was dissatisfied with. My son and I visited many care homes and decided on Chase Park, we are so happy we did. My mam was treated with love, empathy and respect from the minute she arrived until she passed away in October. She took time to settle, and could be scared and disruptive, but the staff were so supportive of her and us that Mam soon settled and realised she was safe and cared for. The clinical lead is worth her weight in gold! She clearly cares for the residents and goes above and beyond to support them and their families. Family liaison is a marvel, she has helped our family and my mam very step of the way, during mam's time there and after Mam's passing. The cook ensured mam had food she liked. Most of the staff are very attentive and respectful. They work to build good relationships with clients and their families. I felt 100% happy to leave my mam in their care. Any concerns I had were dealt with quickly.
My brother-in-law was given the best care at Chase Park Neuro Centre. Very caring staff who were just amazing - not only with him but also a huge support to all his family.
I am very grateful to all the staff at Chase Park for caring for my father. It is hugely reassuring to know he is in such good hands. He has been there for many years and it is always lovely to visit him and chat with all the workers. The centre is beautiful and the rooms are spacious and cosy, with lovely views too. Its location is great as well, as it is in a very peaceful area with lots of green surroundings like Chase Park.
On Tuesday 23rd April 2023, my cousin celebrated her 100th birthday. When my husband and I arrived in the morning, we were shown into a room that had been specially decorated for the occasion. Cards and gifts were received from staff and residents and a lovely buffet was prepared for lunchtime with a wonderful cake to be cut and shared. The family liaison officer and staff were extremely kind and caring to my cousin and also to the residents who arrived to share the buffet. It was a wonderful day and an extremely happy one for my cousin. Thank you so much to all who made this day such a memorable one.
We recently lost our mam and within weeks dad became very frail and unwell, to the point he needed 24-hour care. We were devastated that he couldn’t go back to his home but a room was quickly found for him at Chase Park Neuro Centre. From the minute we stepped through the doors, even before my dad arrived, we could feel the happy atmosphere and were treated with warmth by every member of staff we met. We were encouraged to make dad's room exactly how he would want it and we truly felt that this would be home from home for him. Dad arrived on Monday evening and was soon settled in by the lovely staff on duty. Watching the staff interacting with him and other residents throughout the next day lifted our spirits and reassured us that he would be given the best care. Sadly, my lovely dad passed away very quickly before even 24 hours had passed but the care and compassion we, as a family, were shown by the nurses and carers and the kindness and dignity they gave to my dad helped us through.
Very happy with the aspects of care for my brother.
Mam has come on amazingly since being here; her progress is brilliant. The staff are all lovely, friendly and very helpful, they take really good care of her, and she likes being in here. Can't thank them enough for taking care of her as it's not always easy to get here, living so far away from here.
My father was a resident at Chase Park Neuro Centre for the past couple of years or so, receiving palliative care. He sadly passed away in August. The care my father received was great. He was treated with kindness and compassion. The clinical lead and family liaison officer were exceptional and truly cared for my father and his well-being which meant a great deal to our family. His best interests were always at the forefront. Towards the end, we were able to visit my father 24 hours a day and my mother stayed with him through the night. At such a difficult time we could rely on Chase Park to meet my father's medical needs so we could focus on keeping him as comfortable as possible and creating a calm and loving environment for him.
Today I said goodbye to my husband, who had lived at Chase Park for seven years. Throughout my husband's stay, the staff became my friends, people that I could talk to, and I knew pretty quickly they would give my husband the best care and attention that he needed. He came to the nursing home chair-bound, bed-bound, and later peg fed, so his existence was pretty miserable. Every day my husband would have many staff coming into his room just to say "hello" as well as deal with his everyday needs. They didn't just come in to say hello; they came to show that they cared, and this is why I would recommend anyone who is looking into placing a loved one into specialist care to seriously consider Chase Park. The staff are the kindest, friendliest, caring, and most wonderful people that were my pleasure to meet. This is not just a job for them; they are there because they want to be there, they want to give, and they want to help. The biggest hearts are found at Chase Park. Thank you so much.
All staff are very helpful and cheerful and always happy to listen to my concerns although sometimes don't carry out my recommendations which I repeatably ask, i.e. not to be in a wheelchair for over 4 hours.
In the short time my son has been at Chase Park Neuro Centre I have experienced a change in him. He is relaxed, happy and confident he is in good hands. Each member of staff he has come into contact with has been welcoming, kind and understanding of his condition. He is receiving the care and nursing needed and this is done with genuine empathy and professional courtesy.
The staff at Chase Park Neuro Centre are brilliant, caring, lovely, go above and beyond, magnificent, make you feel relaxed, perfect, helpful and flawless. We felt more at home at Chase Park than we do at home. The care shown to myself and my wife was second to none.
I live in Derby and am the only relative. I keep in contact with my sister-in-law via an arranged Facebook call every week through a member of the administration staff. Thus I am able to see and talk with my sister-in-law. The staff looking after her needs are mainly known to me and I find them all great. They are caring and during my discussions with them have always been useful and informative so I get a feeling of what is happening to my sister-in-law!
I find the staff very friendly and helpful, always help me with my son's bags. They seem to know my son's needs and what he enjoys and doesn't enjoy (likes to spend time alone without too much noise) depending on his mood. Every day is different so he can be quite challenging and hard work until you get to know his little ways.
My husband has been here for a number of years, and I am very happy with his care. My husband has a set routine, and he does like to know the staff that are caring for him. Know that some staff go above and beyond. I'm very happy with the management, and I know if I have any concerns, they are acted upon very quickly. This makes it easier for myself and family knowing this.
My son has been here for twenty-two years, always been extremely happy.
Attended Jubilee celebrations June 2022. Lovely, relaxed environment with live music outdoors, tea party with residents, family, friends and staff. Good selection of foods and drinks and tombola with a good selection of prizes. Staff are always very friendly and welcoming and try to engage as many residents as possible.
My brother has been in Chase Park Neuro Centre for many years and has always received excellent care. Whenever we go to visit, the staff and other residents are always friendly and happy, they would go above and beyond to help you. My brother always looks clean and well cared for and loves all the staff. We never had to worry throughout the Covid-19 pandemic as they kept in touch and let us know how he was doing. They recently had a Jubilee party which was excellent, lovely food, a live band and raffles. You feel like you're part of a big family when you go to visit and are always made welcome.
