The head chef of Albany provided beautifully presented and delicious food for a small gathering to celebrate my mother's 80th. Not only was the food of high quality and well presented, but he personally made sure that my dietary needs were fully met. He was extremely knowledgeable and meticulous in every detail to ensure that each dish was free from any ingredient that would cause me trouble. He was able to offer me great alternatives and even ensured that his colleague met me to confirm that everything was as I expected. I simply cannot fault the level of care that I received and my mother was so thrilled that everyone had a good time because of his efforts. Thank you so very much to the head chef and all the catering staff at Albany.
My mother was at Albany Lodge for 4 months and 2 weeks. She was accepted there after a 2-month stay in hospital. My mother suffered with Alzheimer's disease and was mainly bedridden. The management nurses and carers were extremely caring, kind and compassionate toward her and my mother seemed very happy there. The food was of a very good standard. There was plenty of entertainment going on on a daily basis. My mother passed away there and the staff did everything they could to make her as comfortable as possible right through to the end. I would highly recommend this nursing home.
Great care for my Dad! Very helpful and friendly.
Albany Lodge is a very clean and friendly nursing home. Clean and happy environment.
My mother-in-law has recently moved to Albany Lodge Nursing Home as she is in need of nursing care. She has made great progress in the last two weeks after becoming withdrawn during her hospital stays. This week we have noticed an improvement in her mobility.
The home is always very friendly, everyone always says hello and talks to you.
Dad has been here for 4 or 5 months and we are delighted with it. He is happy, well fed and content. He has the right amount of independence and care. The staff are always so upbeat and jolly. The food is great.
A very hard decision to say the least! But Albany Lodge Nursing Home has changed our lives for the good, our dad moved in on the 8th October, he is thriving and is being stimulated by an exceptional team from the management to the care team. We as a family can’t ask for anything more. The care assistants and other staff are just outstanding. From the first time we walked into the Lodge we felt this was a perfect place for our dear dad, the staff's approach to us as a family is first class. Thank you all so much for minding our dad.
Enjoyed a wonderful Christmas dinner with my father. The staff were fabulous, couldn’t do enough for us. The food was terrific. My father has been very happy here and we have peace of mind that he’s being cared for and looked after.
Visiting my uncle from Ireland and cannot believe just how good this nursing home is! We were welcomed by a group of beautiful, friendly staff who could not do enough for us. Our time with our uncle was made so special by the staff here at Albany Lodge Nursing Home and they went above and beyond to cater to us with tea/coffee and sweet treats. Amazing, personal experience.
A really nice nursing home my father has settled into. I can visit any time, the staff are fantastic and the food is brilliant. It's near to where I live so it's just perfect. My father is being well looked after, thanks Albany Lodge Nursing Home.
The staff at the home honestly couldn't do anymore. They even put on a buffet spread for my aunt's 50th birthday and let us hold a party for her in one of the lounges. We are so thankful to the staff who facilitated the party along with the organisation and food. The care and compassion they have given my aunt, let alone to myself and the rest of the family, is unforgettable and very well received.
My daughter moved to Albany Lodge on 31st August and is very happy there and being well looked after. All the staff are very kind and caring toward the clients and their families.
We think it’s excellent - very caring and looks after patients very well. My mum is happy there, and the activities team are very good at engaging residents. I would recommend this service to anyone. My mum smiles a lot and is happy each day.
Our mum recently moved into Albany Lodge Nursing Home. This was challenging to accept for my mum as it meant leaving her home of forty-eight years. A home that was filled with memories of her late husband, her children growing up, family and friends she has made over the years. From her first day, the staff made Mum and the family feel so welcome. They are very accommodating and ensure that they respect her wishes and keep her dignity intact. She has met new friends and is encouraged to get involved in the fabulous activities that are organised. Mum has so much to talk about on our visits, as her days are filled with communicating with a variety of staff and residents. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that all residents are feeling safe and happy. As a family, we are thankful for their wonderful efforts to ensure a smooth transition for our mum. Our own worries and concerns have eased watching Mum look happier than she has in such a long time. Kind regards.
I have lived here for several months and have loved every moment. The staff are so kind and lovely, doing everything for me as I can't walk, but they are helping me to try and walk again. I love being in the garden as I am an outdoor person. I had to re-home my cat, but they gave me a large ginger tom that I call Treacle (toy cat). I did not think I could have it in a "home", but I can, and I love it. The residents and I get on so well and play games together. I wish the staff and home all the best - thank you.
Our sister has been to Albany Lodge 3 times for respite, she looks forward to going to see the friends she has made there, the lifestyle lead, three other staff members in particular and all the rest of the staff. When your loved one is happy and contented it makes it a bit easier in leaving her, she enjoys the food and said it is very nice, she has her hair done as well while there and enjoys the activities. We as the family, find Albany Lodge very clean, the staff are all very welcoming and look after our sister well. We as the family, would not send her anywhere else a big thank you to the clinical lead, for overseeing her respite.
The entertainment/activity team are amazing. There is always an activity going on when I visit mum and although she can’t always participate they do try to include her in what they do. You can sometimes hear the laughter when you get out of the lift which is so uplifting to hear. All the activity team are very caring and kind with all the residents, mum has dementia and they are excellent with her. The carers are very kind and caring to mum and she always looks nice.
Overall my friend is cared for but I have to keep asking for certain things to be done, such as hand and feet nail cutting, hair cutting. Sadly some of his clothing has disappeared even though it was fully labelled! I do get things done/sorted but it tasks a lot of asking/nagging. He is treated with kindness but does need a lot of assistance.
