View Full Details of Barchester Maple Leaf Lodge Care HomeHave come to visit my mother today. She is very well and happy at this care home. The staff here are very friendly and look after her very well. They are in the middle of a refurb and even the outside contractors are very welcoming. I'm very happy that my mum is looked after.
My husband has been at Barchester Maple Leaf Lodge Care Home for ten weeks. You approach the building, which is a warm colour and attractive looking, from the town centre with good transportation. This is home for the residents and Maple Leaf staff work hard and enthusiastically to make it so. Staff convey an attitude of knowing which residents want to chat, those who prefer to be alone and those that enjoy a bit of banter and a laugh. From my point of view, the ladies are excellent and keep me advised as to how my husband is reacting and give me details of his health. The atmosphere between staff members makes them a team that supports each other and is always available to is for help, a chat and support.
The care home is well run by the management and staff. The carers are very processional, helpful and friendly.
Me and my husband stay at Barchester Maple Leaf Lodge Care Home for respite care, this is our third stay here and we can't fault it. The food is nice and the staff are very kind.
Very good care, food has been nice. Staff very friendly.
Celebrating a big birthday for my mum, the home has really helped to make it something special. The team are always friendly and helpful. Mum has really appreciated it. Thanks.
Amazing care home, great facilities, staff very caring, pet friendly. My nan feels looked after, she's kept entertained by the special weekly events. This care home is the best care home I've ever visited, it goes above and beyond all others.
I would like to place a review on behalf of my uncle who is a resident. All the staff have a wonderful attitude, always caring and always speak to me when I visit. The activities programme is amazing, the activities coordinator does such an amazing job, she finds different activities for the residents to enjoy. In March, through all the activities coordinator’s hard work, she arranged for my uncle to attend the local football club one Saturday afternoon to watch a match, this is something he had wanted to do for some time as he was a regular supporter back in the day, the football club made them both very welcome, treated Uncle like a VIP guest, provided drinks, all the football team shook his hand and he even had a go at kicking the ball into a net, the pictures the activities coordinator took showed a wonderful, smiling uncle who loved the day so much, I don’t think he wanted to end. The activity programme over a week is always so varied and we all love looking at the pictures that are posted most days of what they have been up to.
Very pleased with all the staff and the care they give to my mum. They are all amazing, thank you so much!
My dear father-in-law is a resident here. He is receiving first-class care and sometimes goes on outings too. There is a beautiful garden here which he has been in. The staff are all friendly. Today, one member of staff has been very kind and supportive to me. She showed me a lovely photograph she took of my father-in-law when he was recently resident of the week which made my visit special.
Dad came to Maple Leaf Lodge for just over 2 weeks of respite care while I had cataract surgery back home where I live. Without exception, all the staff I met were extremely courteous, competent and professional, giving me complete reassurance that he would be well looked after. Dad also had the opportunity to engage in social activities which he wouldn’t have had at home. I would not hesitate to recommend Maple Leaf Lodge for respite or longer-term care, it’s a fantastic facility with amazing people who work there.
Dad has settled very well.
Would highly recommend Maple Leaf Lodge Care Home. All staff are caring and cannot do enough for you. The food is well cooked and a good choice at all meals. The gardens are lovely and beautifully kept by the friendly gardener, it's lovely to sit out in the sun and enjoy the peace in such surroundings. The coffee lounge in reception is an unexpected bonus. The receptionists are always ready to help and have a chat. Laundry staff are very helpful and friendly. Overall, my experience has been five-star in all respects.
Mum is very happy here.
The staff are pleasant and helpful. My resident relative has improved both physically and mentally since being at Maple Leaf Lodge Care Home.
This was an emergency respite admission as the lift at our facility was broken. There are three of us and we were made very welcome. The care staff are excellent and there are several activities on offer. We had three meals a day with a choice at each meal and the food was perfectly cooked daily on the premises. The reception staff were very helpful and I would recommend this care home for its welcoming decor and helpful staff.
All staff are consistently friendly, helpful and fun-loving. Standards of cleanliness are high and meals are varied, healthy and delicious. We enjoyed a quiet space with coffee and cake. During her time here and my sister has become happier, healthier and (mostly) peaceful. Brilliant staff, I am so grateful!
My relative is very well looked after and the staff are extremely kind to him. The activities coordinator has been trying very hard to get him out of his room and join in with other residents.
The Maple Leaf Lodge Care Home is always very neat, tidy, well-run and lovely. I am so pleased that Mum is staying here.
My wife is fed, watered, warm and dry at a standard which I am grateful that I could not achieve by looking after her myself at home. Unfortunately, her condition does not allow her to be as appreciative or use the facilities available to her but I am very content with the care.
