View Full Details of Reuben ManorThe staff of Reuben Manor are always supportive from the carers to the management. They have my mum's best interests at heart and can read the signs of any health related issues as they work with her so much that they understand her pattern of behaviour. One member of the care also liaised with GP above and beyond to ensure my mum's needs were met. She enjoys the food and activities and management have always been supportive over the financial aspect of care.
Overall rating I'd give good, food is not deemed satisfactory. Same sandwiches for evening meals, cake and custard every day and mash. A pasty for evening meal is not acceptable for the money paid. Wheelchair users contained to building unless it's their turn to visit local pub. When she asks for a bath, she's told staff are busy. I see that staff are very busy but this is not an excuse. Activities staff and carers work very hard and do their best with residents. I wouldn't want mam anywhere else but room for improvement.
Prior to arrival, all staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Made us feel unique. My father has settled in well. No concerns. Everything we've requested, for example, mirror and clock up in the room, to a chiropractor visit and a haircut done ASAP has been sorted. Hopefully, this journey of care will continue.
So pleased my husband came to Reuben Manor for his care. He is now part of a new family, and made to feel very safe and very well cared for in every aspect.
When you enter the care home, there is a very warm and homely welcome waiting for you. I cannot fault the staff, they are excellent with the residents and the family members who came to visit.
Staff seem very nice and pleasant. The room is comfortable and homely, especially as you can have personal items of comfort. Food sounds nice and there are plenty of things going on that can be joined in. Visiting times are very flexible which helps if you are working, to be able to come in the evening. The environment is very clean, comfortable and modern.
Fantastic home, always clean and smells lovely, staff are always so caring and kind to my gran. Activities are outstanding and always something on for everyone to get involved in. Food always smells amazing.
Very clean, nice friendly staff. My dad is very well looked after.
I find Reuben Manor to be a lovely place to live in. The rooms are nice, they can bring their own things if they want or they are furnished if you don't. There's plenty going on for them, they are encouraged to join in so they're not in their room alone. But if they want to stay in their room that is ok too. The staff are exceptional, very caring. The food is good. My mam loves being in there, she said it's like being on holiday.
My dad has been a resident for approximately six months now. His care is excellent, I feel he is well looked after by all staff. It is a shame he's deaf, as this impacts on his joining in when activities are available. He enjoys his food and if it's something he does not fancy, an alternative is offered. I have no worry in leaving him in your care. Thank you.
My grandma has been a resident for over 2 years now, she is able to chat with staff and is very well cared for day to day. Gives us as a family peace of mind knowing she is safe and well. The staff are kind and friendly, polite and above all respect my grandma and give her the support and dignity she deserves.
Always very chatty to me and kind. All the staff are lovely - carers, laundry, kitchen, maintenance and reception. Everything is pleasing and happy. Has nice gardens.
Excellent service and care. Highly recommend.
Having been here for about a year, I was made to feel very welcome. The staff are polite, friendly and caring. I enjoy the activities which are regular and frequent and they have evolved to include my favorites and suggestions. The Chaplin is approachable, supportive and attentive whenever I felt the need. I'd appreciate more variety in the deserts, to include lighter options.
My Mother was a short-term resident from May 2024 until Jan 2025. During this time, she received support, friendship, kindness and professionalism from all members of staff. This was key to her recovery, and as a family, we appreciate all the support the team at Reuben Manor gave to us. I would highly recommend this care home for your loved ones.
We visit with my uncle every Sunday and have always found every member of staff we have come into contact with, to be extremely pleasant and helpful. Reuben Manor is a lovely building, the lounges and bedrooms are welcoming, very well set out and kept to the highest of standards. There is a comprehensive activities programme provided, catering for a wide range of interests. There are many outstanding features in Reuben Manor - staff coming top of the list!
My wife has been in Reuben Manor care for over five years. Over that period, I have had no reason to complain about any of the services or care provided. They provide an extremely safe, caring environment for my wife, who has vascular dementia and is confined to a wheelchair. I'm always welcome at any time and encouraged to feel part of the family atmosphere. The main strength of Rueben Manor is the attention to every detail, which ensures that the care and happiness of my wife and the other residents are the top priority by maintaining strong alternative family support.
Reuben Manor is the best care home I have actively visited in our area. In recent years two family members have been residents in two local care homes and I can say that this one is by far superior. The staff are very professional. I am aware there are daily activities available to the residents. Also, the surroundings are really nice and this is also a contributing factor to making residents stay more enjoyable.
The staff here are really friendly helpful and caring. Everywhere is clean and tidy, my mam always looks smart and well looked after. Activities are well-planned and fun. The building is well-maintained and decorated to a high standard.
Reuben Manor was the only home we would have considered given the outstanding care our mother received here. Not only is the home warm, welcoming, and immaculate but the care our sister receives is second to none. The staff are attentive and caring, going above and beyond to make sure our sister is well looked after, safe, and comfortable, which in turn allows us to relax and have peace of mind. From the activities that are offered, to the supporting staff such as the cleaners, laundry, kitchen, and admin team, we are beyond happy with the provision. Particular mention to the carers is important, as our sister has settled more than we could have imagined or hoped for. Reuben Manor has turned what was an impossibly challenging and upsetting situation into a wholly positive experience for which our family is incredibly grateful.
