View Full Details of St Pauls Care CentreSeeing how the staff care for our resident, and other residents reassures me that they do CARE. Every member of staff seems to have the very best interests of the residents and the way they interact is very heartwarming. Seeing how they are so patient and tolerant of bad behaviour is always done with kindness.
My mum was in St Paul's for three years. The care she received was exceptional, all the nurses and carers treated her with love and respect. In her final months she was treated with such dignity and love. I cannot recommend this home more highly. Everyone involved in the home are very special people.
St. Pauls Care Home is welcoming with excellent staff. My mum always looks clean, happy and well cared for. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home. Considering my mum was in another care home we are so pleased we found St. Pauls. Considering the poor care she received from the other care home.
Mum went to St Paul's during Covid. It meant that I hadn't been able to visit beforehand and for many months the only visits were between glass with microphones. So imagine my delight when these restrictions were lifted that I got to see her delightful room and meet properly her carers and nurses. I have absolutely no issues with Mum's care and wellbeing. It was obvious these were being met and I was very reassured by this. I was always kept fully informed of any changes in Mum, both physical and medical. The whole team were always friendly, caring and kind. My Mum's needs changed considerably during her time at St. Paul's but I never had any concerns. I would recommend St. Paul's to anyone considering nursing care for their loved one.
Mym received exceptional care at St Paul's and was welcomed and loved as part of the family from the moment she and us as her family arrived. With a strong emphasis on living, our mother's health, dignity, friendships, interests and self-worth were valued and nurtured every day. The staff at St Paul's are to be celebrated for their warm, sunny disposition and unfailing kindness to all who stay in or visit the centre. Thank you.
My wife has been a resident at St Pauls Care Centre for a little over two years. She has dementia and is difficult to care for as she is generally non-compliant with carers and is still very mobile. I am very happy with the care my wife is receiving. In my view it is exceptional and the carers and nurses are professional, caring, supportive, friendly and kind. It is a nursing dementia unit and I am always kept fully informed as to my wife's condition by the nurses. The home itself is kept spotless and the facilities are first class, very well thought out and superbly maintained. Resident's rooms are light and airy. Residents have free access to an enclosed garden with seats and tables. One of the wings of the home is a connecting glass corridor with open views of gardens on both sides. I do not hesitate in recommending St Pauls Care Centre for its outstanding care and the peace of mind it delivers.
Very grateful that the staff are keeping my mother in the best condition given her advancing dementia. You look after her appearance so well, her hair, cleanliness etc. Thank you so much to all the team.
St.Pauls is very welcoming to both residents and their relatives. It is light, airy and very welcoming. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The medical and domestic staff are all very friendly and it is clear they are all very caring. The care and respect for the residents is outstanding.
Can't thank the nurses and carers on Floor 1 enough for the care and compassion they showed my mother before she passed away in August 2024. Nothing was too much trouble and was always greeted with a smile, the nurses always made sure I was kept up to date with my mother's needs either in person or by telephone. They also had a doctor who visits on a regular basis which meant that any issues were dealt with very promptly. I would 100% recommend St Pauls Care Centre.
We chose St Pauls in 2022 as the hospital had only given my Mother a few days, at the most a few weeks to live. Thanks to St Pauls dedication and skills, she is still thriving 2 1/2 years later. Nothing is too much trouble, always welcoming and professional. 11 out of 10 as far as we are concerned, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
My mum was admitted to St Pauls Care Centre initially for respite and has subsequently become a permanent resident. My mum has adjusted to her new life in a care home as well as a family could have hoped and I think all the management and staff have played no small part in this transition. The nursing staff are all kind and caring, the management team are very efficient, everyone extremely personable and the premises are clean, secure and with a nice range of facilities, so in summary, so far, so very good!
Mum has been a resident since July and has settled in well with the help of the wonderful staff who are very good at their jobs and willing to help Mum with everything concerning her care and wellbeing. They keep me up to date every day about Mum's health and whether she has been strong enough to go to the activities etc. We visit quite often and are always welcomed by all the staff.
We visited the care home with our miniature ponies from Keysoe Cuddle Therapy Centre. We found the staff to be very friendly and a caring team who clearly put the needs of the residents at the forefront. Would recommend as a lovely home.
A very kind and caring environment. Wonderful staff. St Pauls became my second home and I was always made to feel welcome. Mum was very well looked after. The staff did the very best they could. I'm so grateful to them.
My dad spent his final two weeks of life at St Pauls after a very distressing month in hospital. I can't fault the care given. They let residents retain their dignity and show so much compassion and pride in what they do. Every member of the team I met, from the excellent nurses, to the fabulous carers, activity co-ordinators, reception, kitchen, laundry and maintenance staff, go above and beyond to ensure residents are clean, comfortable and safe, no matter how complex their needs. It genuinely feels like such a well-run and professional environment. I have no regrets in choosing St Pauls to help my dad and me. It's little wonder they have earned an 'outstanding' CQC rating. Can't thank them all enough!
Myself and my two brother's would like to say a big thank you to every member of staff at St Pauls Care Centre. For the care, support, dignity and love they all showed my father from the day he arrived until the day he sadly passed away on 01/07/24. We as a family and anyone who visited my father were treated exactly the same way.
To all the staff, a heartfelt thank you for your outstanding care. My mother arrived at the end of November 2023 with weeks to live. Your kindness, empathy, compassion and yes, dare I say love, made her end of life happy. You helped her find the strength to live a further 6 months. Every day she told me of the little unnoticed kindnesses from the staff on the second floor. I witnessed the dedication of the staff not only towards my mother, but all the residents, often when they were totally unaware. The last few days of my mother’s life were very difficult, for her and our family, all the staff did everything humanly possible to make my mother comfortable and to support us as a family. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done. You work in a very difficult environment and are truly underappreciated, but what you did made a difference! I don’t know what we would have done without you. You are all wonderful human beings. Thank you.
My lovely Mum has advanced Alzheimer's. From the moment she arrived at St Paul's, we knew we'd struck gold. The team were ready to greet and settle Mum in. It was a very smooth transition from hospital and they quickly learnt Mum's needs. The health care assistants and nurses are wonderful. They treat Mum with love, respect, dignity and gentleness that we didn't realise could be possible from non-family members. Housekeeping keeps the home immaculately clean and Mum's clothes get magically washed. Food is always plentiful and tailored for Mum's needs. The quarterly relatives meetings provide a forum to engage with management. There's a calm, friendly and inclusive atmosphere where residents and their relatives can socialise. Mum's been resident for 6 months now and she has been looked after wonderfully. As a control freak, I felt nervous about trusting and outsourcing something as precious as my Mum's welfare to anyone else, but I could not be happier with St Paul's.
We cannot praise St Pauls Care Centre enough. The care and kindness given to my brother by all the staff was exemplary - we will be forever grateful to them all.
St Pauls Care Centre is a wonderful care home. My mum is so happy and her life here has been enhanced by the care she is given. I thank the St Pauls Care Centre staff for everything they do. We are fortunate to have found such an amazing care home for Mum!
